  1. Terry Butcher video....David Raven to follow....
  2. I didn't even think about use of "Big Ken"...it's purely to distinguish between the two Kenneths.
  3. Sorry, but I still think dangerous precedent is being set here. What's to stop groups of people setting out to destroy the lives of innocents in the future by banding together and saying "we saw/witnessed xyz"? I also don't like the idea that key witnesses are "speaking up" in return for reduced punishments...there's people who have done what Armstrong is being accused of, and worse, who will get nothing more than a 6 month suspended sentence!!! What's to say these people aren't inventing stuff to save their own necks because they feared being caught and facing the full brunt of the sanctions themselves? After all, this has practically been set up on the basis that those not giving statements against Armstrong, or having no evidence to give are going to receive exactly that if/when found guilty. Further to that...just because it was possible to "beat" the tests back then does not mean that an individual was guilty of it. In fact, there is a line which says that cases are not investigated after certain period of time, but in the case of Armstrong that line has been ignored. As for Armstrong refusing to give evidence...that is his right. I'd be reluctant to co-operate with an investigation under these circumstances also. I don't know if the guy is guilty or not, although I suspect he's not as snow white as he might like people to think. However, I do have concerns over the process used to determine the alleged depth of his guilt and believe that is far from being honest in itself.
  4. I'm sure those who know Big Ken will agree that this is a fantastic and welcome addition to the Board. http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/664-new-director-appointed-to-ictfc-board
  5. The Sponge is unable to attend due to other commitments, and rather than choose someone to attend has asked that we re-draw the winner...which I have done. Fraz was next out of the hat and I will drop you a message via PM with details.
  6. We have been invited to send two people to a Meet the Players evening on Tuesday 13th November, 6:30pm at the Stadium. What I've done is fire all current (and paid) participants into a Random Picker to select someone to attend. I only drew a single entry so as to allow them to take a guest/partner with them. The winner was "The Sponge" - I'll drop you an e.mail, if you can't attend personally then you can nominate someone (entirely of your own choosing) to attend in your place.
  7. Not my impression of him at all. If, and I don't necessarily think it's a persistent thing, he's not tracking back as much as some might like to see then I put that down to lack of stamina...an issue he openly admits to and is working hard on improving. I also think it's easy to confuse confidence with ego...and it's a tag that is often (wrongly) attached to players of that ilk in Scotland.
  8. Will request an interview with him this week if possible....just for you.
  9. Fantastic result and despite the match being a bit scrappy the lads showed faith in the game plan and got stuck in at every opportunity. Disagree with comments that Roberts is wasted out wide....the guy has three major strengths and being there makes best use of all of them.... 1. He can, and will run at anyone. 2. He can pick a fly off the erse of any man in the box with his delivery. 3. He has the pace to get back quick and support defensively when needed. Being a 65/70 minute player doesn't worry me...having spoke to him a few times, he is well aware of the fact that he's playing catch-up in terms of the fitness required to last 90 minutes in the SPL and relishes and welcomes the challenge in getting there. In fact, I wouldn't fault our set up and tactics at all last night. As I said above....the game plan was fairly obvious and even when under pressure the team stuck to it, no panic, no resorting to hoof ball etc. Surprised Reguero isn't getting more of a mention....apart from one moment when he came for the cross from the corner and missed it (or did he? need to see the replay) he was solid and had two exceptional saves which not only kept us in the game but destroyed the morale of the Dundee forwards. Confidence and belief is high among our squad....quite rightly so, and long may it continue. I'd only score one of our players 7/10 last night....the rest were 8's and 9's....but as a team it was 10/10.
  10. You mean that 50p information sheet? No wonder it's the cheapest! Say what you like about it, but I believe the idea of the Monthly Magazine and the match day add-on is working....for everyone. It costs fans less and it sells more...win/win. 10 x Monthly Mag = £30 19 x Add-On = £4.50 (you get one free with each monthly mag) Total for 19 Home matches = £34.50 (£1.82 per match) Still the cheapest programme choice in the league and even factoring that into the match cost we are still the cheapest day out in the league.
  11. 50p programme is correct Alex.
  12. There's also an offer on the Official Facebook page where you can get a £5 Gift Voucher when purchasing a new season ticket. http://www.facebook.com/ICTFC
  13. Maybe Davie, but none of that has been proven and it sets a very dangerous precedent if we're going to start basing judgement on what is, for now at least, nothing more than hype and hearsay.
  14. Hold on a minute....Armstrong has never failed a test in his life (as far as I can tell) despite being the most tested athlete of all time. If the alleged doping was happening, and happening to the extent that some would have us believe then how is that possible? Something is not right in all this. Either a blind eye was being turned at the time and testing was not being undertaken in the manner it should have been...or this investigation has set out determined to drag Armstrong down no matter what and the only way to achieve that was by creating a situation whereby so much smoke was generated then it becomes impossible for people to think there's no fire. Innocent until proven guilty, IMO, and all they have is testimony which would struggle to stand up in a proper court of law on the basis that those providing it seem to have been offered leniency in dealing with their own crimes in return for them coming up with some stories about Armstrong....which makes them far from credible.
  15. Match postponed - details on
  16. We're just looking at the rain/pitch situation now....was suppose to have passed through 24 hours ago. One way or another we will make a decision by lunchtime today whether or not the pitch will be available, we move it to all weather or postpone.
  17. Don't think prices have been agreed for Sevco game yet. Normally with 3rd Div opponents you'd expect it to be cheaper.....but I'm not holding my breath for that.
  18. Looks like he dived to me!!!

  20. Butcher has had a pretty decent record of straightening out unruly characters (Foran being prime example), so it was maybe worth taking a punt on Blackman even though he had some history.....que sera.
