He's taken the "use your head" instructions a bit too literally!!!
  2. I'm still having to put up with the one man hate campaign from the xmas picture I posted 6 years ago

Watch out EWS.....you'll get a red dot for that
  4. CaleyD replied to SMEE's topic in Caley Thistle
    Not entirely accurate
  5. If they had done that then we wouldn't have got the satisfaction of seeing Esson save the penalty and knowing that Miller was sick as a parrot.
  6. Actually....Laura would be well placed to assist with ticker issues as well

Oh dear.....first off, you're treading on dangerous ground by revealing specific details about your employers customers. Secondly, it may be against the card issuers Terms of Use and/or your companies policies, but it's not illegal to use someone else's credit card so long as you're not trying to pass yourself off as that person and you have their permission to use the card....so your accusations are wrong. Finally...the song/chant sucks.
  9. It's another no win situation for the man in the middle. Do as he has done and apologise for the error and he'll get hit with the "why didn't he or his assistants change their mind at the time". Ignore the fact he's made a mistake and he gets hit with "he doesn't even have the balls to admit he got it wrong". Whilst I agree that the refs should have the authority to deal with "simulation" retrospectively, not sure there's anything to punish in this instance. Beattie looked to have slid as opposed to dive, and he didn't appear to be claiming the penalty when he went down. Don't know of a player out there who would have turned down a wrongly given penalty in such circumstances. Plenty of examples of out and out cheating to be had in the game, not convinced this is one of them.

Roads look ok on live cameras just now.
  11. History shows that having more money doesn't improve anything. In fact, it could be argued that the sport was in a far better position prior to the days of multi million pound signings and large TV deals.
  12. The grounds under which an appeal will be granted are very limited. Any appeal would effectively have to be based on one of 3 things..... CAS were acting outwith their jurisdiction There was some kind of procedural breach The decision was contrary to public policy .....interesting.
  13. You think the change of date is just a coincidence?

  15. Inverness Caley Thistle’s Supporters Trust are delighted to announce the launch of the new ICT Disabled Supporters Association. The Disabled Supporters Association will be part of the Supporters Trust and will give disabled supporters a voice. The new Association will work with the Club to help improve the experience of going to matches at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium for all disabled fans, their families, friends and carers. Money raised through membership of the Association will go toward improving facilities for disabled fans. It will also be a group where people can meet other Caley Thistle fans and make new friends. There is an open meeting at the stadium on Thursday 16th December at 7pm. Anyone interested can come and find out more about the Association or becoming a member. There will also be a special offer on half-season tickets for members of the Disabled Supporters Association. (subject to eligibility) Membership of this association is open to all fans who are registered disabled, their families and carers. The Supporters Trust have been working closely with the football club and an organisation called CAFE (Centre for Access to Football in Europe) to establish this supporters group. Peter Murphy, chairman of ICT Supporters Trust commented “We have been working for some time to try to form this new association and believe the hard work will be worthwhile. In the few meetings we have had already with the committee it is quite clear they have a very positive contribution to make to the club“ Kenny Cameron Operations Director at ICTFC commented “The Club are fully supportive of this new and exciting initiative, and see it as a step forward for our disabled supporters. Our initial discussions with CAFE were focussed on some form of stand alone independent association but The Supporters Trust are to be commended in getting together with CAFE to form a collective group under the banner of the Trust. The Club appreciate the time and effort from all parties involved in bringing this new organisation to fruition, and look forward to continued dialogue going forward”. 18. The St Johnstone v Inverness game scheduled for Saturday 1st January 2011 will now be played on Sunday 2nd January 2011 with a 3pm kick-off.
  19. It's not possible to just increase the size of the Family Section for OF games, and the normal demand for the area wouldn't(currently) justify making it any bigger on a permanent basis. Perhaps you should look at getting Season Tickets for the Family Enclosure...not sure what age your kids are, but with free U12's, Juniors at ?70 and Adults at only ?220 (?80 cheaper than anywhere else in the stadium) then any family going to more than 5 or 6 games in a season is getting tremendous value for money....in fact, if you have 1 U16 and 2 U12's...it will cost you less than an adult season ticket elsewhere in the stadium and you only have to take in 2 OF games and any 2 other games (at North Stand prices) to recoup your investment.
  20. The reason I opted for Tokely ahead of Munro is the "constantly defies his critics" part. Since we started progressing through the leagues the calls of "Tokely will be out of his depth" have been ever present on the lips of many. Tokely has carried the "Punching above his weight" tag in much the same way as ICT has...and that's why he is my particular favourite. Had the question been about contribution to the team, or the clubs success then the answer may have been different, but it was about favourites, and just because we all have a player we like a bit more for a particular reason, doesn't mean we have any less respect for the rest.
  21. Eh? Where are all the young Scottish players going to fit in if we are filling teams up with youngsters from down south who you claim should be stuck up to Scotland? Do you really think that Scotland should actively market itself as a shop window for other nations/associations, which could only (further) strangle our own development?
  22. Fantastic idea....let's give the Scottish game another excuse to ignore the development of our own up and coming players!!! (That was sarcasm, btw)
  23. The whole "more meaningless games" argument kinda annoys me. Firstly, unless you have a league of 2 with 1 promotion/championship place and one relegation place then you always run the risk of "meaningless" games in any league. Secondly, they are only meaningless to any team who doesn't have enough pride to be out there giving their all in every game, regardless of where they sit in the league....and if that's the attitude then we're as well going with a two team league. Finally, you are more likely to attract people along to watch a "meaningless" game between two teams who haven't already played each other 3 times in the season. If we want to bring more money in to the game and make it more appealing to advertisers, sponsors and the media then we have to offer more variety. Time and again those running the SPL (and those running the respective clubs) have made short sighted decisions which have only served to cripple the long term prospects of the game. Not once when they have come up with one of their "magic solutions" has it ever been based on asking the fans what they want to see, or what might bring them out to more games. There's been a complete lack of any kind of sensible marketing decisions in the sport in Scotland for as long as I can remember. Fans aren't interested in watching 4 (or more) matches a season against the same opposition, TV isn't going to find enough variety in such a set up to justify any sort of increased investment in the game, and it doesn't take a marketing genius to work out that advertising to 10 sets of fans doesn't carry as much value as marketing to 16+ sets of fans. Dress it up any way you like, there's no justifiable short or long term benefit to be had from reducing the number of teams in the top tier.
  24. Tokely for me. The fact that he's defied his critics from day one by constantly upping his game and proving his worth time and time again, coupled with his never say die (unless shouting it at the poor sod he's charging down at the time) attitude, is what sets him apart from most others. If you had to choose one player who epitomised what ICT have been about since day 1, then it would be Tokely.
