  1. I have taken note of the dislike at being referred to as Partick....should make our next meeting at TCS fun
  2. CaleyD replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
I believe that tape belonged to the players who had all chipped in to buy a copy (at considerable expense).

Liam Keogh was at Celtic....he's named as part of the squad in the Feb 8th Match Programme.
  4. Think I can improve on that slightly with.....Gudgies Inflatable Portable 'Ome fails on maiden voyage.
  5. Gypos arrange special delivery of my next t-shirt
  6. "Too" easy :002:
  7. LEEDS!!! When did you move? Well no one knows where wakefield is so i just say leeds. Makes more sence than having peolpe saying "wheres wakefield". People know where leeds is! I'll have to find somewhere that will show it or someone with sky that i can take over their living room Where's Leeds?
  8. Not wanting to go too far off topic as this thread isn't about standing, but it's not actually a legal/legislative requirement for people to sit. It was an SPL directive which had to be followed by all their member clubs, but as we are not in the SPL any more then I can only assume that the decision to continue enforcing a "No standing" rule at TCS has come from within the club.
  9. Calling for a boycott is not something that should be taken lightly or on a whim. It's also something which should not be considered until all other avenues have been exhausted, nothing improves and fans feel they have no other options available to them. Also, it's easy to sit at a screen and deride others for having an opinion and calling for action....any idiot can do that, but having the ability to type means nothing if you're not willing to offer up alternatives or get off your erse and do something other than having a go at those who are willing to at least try.
  10. Nobody has once said that any County fan has taken objection to being called a Gypsy...which is what makes this all the more absurd.
  11. My personal view on this is that our referring to C*unty fans as Gypsies has absolutely no roots or basis in racism....I also think I would be correct in saying that it was a something they were called before we joined the SFL? It is certainly a term that has been used for far longer than "Gypsy" has been recognised/considered as a race. Like many words, it has to be taken in the context of it's use. It annoys the hell out of me that the word "Black" has become such a taboo these days...so much so that we're having to change nursery rhymes, blackboards have become chalk boards and people are being reported for telling their kids they've come in black (as opposed to dirty) when they've been out playing. Who exactly are those who are complaining? I'll put money on it being the kind of people who feel they should be getting offended on behalf of others and that in reality the C*unty fans....or indeed any Gypsies that may be in the crowd....don't give two hoots. The law in this country says "Innocent until proven Guilty" and I would defend my right to refer to C*unty fans as Gypsies to the bitter end if I had too. Anyone who wishes to challenge me on that then has the burden of proof insofar as showing that my use of the word in the context of banter between two sets of fans has any basis in racism. With regards the Supporters Trust. Some of the board had a meeting with the club on this matter, and as LG said, we left that meeting and did not feel any need to communicate anything to the fans as a result of the discussions we had. That's why I was very surprised to hear that the club had instructed Stewards to "warn" fans on the matter and wish to gather more information on the exact nature of what was said to people in Section G on Saturday.
  12. I voted for him.

The club are going to look into what options might be available to them for selling ht tickets/programmes away from the stadium on matchdays.
  14. You're preaching to the converted here with regards the official website. The club thought they were getting an easier/better deal/setup when they opted to move to PremiumTV and were reluctant to listen to the advices given to them by myself and Scotty.
  15. Take it you are aiming the know it all at me, I don't claim to know it all but I am a mate of Robbos and was just clearing up that there had been no big bust up between Robbo and the board, in fact I think he said as much on a Q&A session on here Not at all, just got ahead of myself, and find it interesting to see so many Guest over the last few days reading this too... Im not saying TB isnt the right man for the job now, but at the time Robbo was the man for the job, Terry knows he is the man, its his team as he said, his signings, and somthing not really mentioned his reason we let so much tallent go. "Guests" cannot read anything other than the first post in any thread (log out and try viewing the forum to see for yourself). Also, the vast majority of the "Guests" you see reading threads when you look at the 'last click' list are search bots and spiders, not human visitors....see the technical forum for a further explanation on this.
  16. As Scotty has pointed out in the past, the club themselves do not do the stats side of the official website. It is suppose to be taken care of as part of the contract they have with PremiumTV for the provision of the website. Granted, they are responsible for doing a deal with these people, and as it's been so wrong for so long then you wonder whether anyone has raised the issue or putting pressure on for it to be corrected.....but they have no direct control which allows them to correct it themselves.
  17. I assume you're referring to the word "Gypsy"? Myself and a couple of other Supporters Trust Board members met with the club regarding this matter earlier in the week and I would be very interested in hearing exactly what happened today. Could those involved PM me and give me a clearer explanation of who said what to you today?
  18. Not much I can say that hasn't been said by others already, so I will try and keep my points short and simple. 1. We passed the ball well and had decent possession for the first 30/35 minutes. 2. Partick were lucky with the first, nobody to really "blame" for that. 3. Duncan screwed up royally at the second, but we should have taken possession further up the field....unfortunately Bulvitis seemed happier to just watch it go by him. 4. Think I'm missing something, or seeing something others didn't with Foran. He might have been worked up and having a go at other players for poor passes/crosses etc, but on too many occasions for my liking that got in the way of his own performance and on a couple of occasions the ball was within 4 or 5 feet of him and he seemed oblivious to it as he was caught up in one of his wee rants!!! 5. Lost count of how many handballs we were denied today....at least 3 of them being in the oppositions box. 6. Nick Ross was totally done in and their was nothing left in the legs....I thought that looked fairly obvious and the reason he was subbed. 7. LDZ had at least two half decent attempts at goal when he came on...more than any other player had in the same period. 8. You can perhaps criticise TB's starting 11, but in doing so you also have to give credit to him for making subs that almost managed to salvage us a point. Looking beyond just this one game I think our team have a tendency to do one of two things. A. They seem to allow the opposition to dictate the game pace and level....then they get caught on the hop. or B. They start well, get the passing going and keep possession. They then get a little complacent and BAM they lose a goal....or 3 as happened today. The games where we do well (mostly) are the ones where we get our nose in front early on. We seem to be able to keep the momentum going after that. From that point of view, I would like to see us lining up more offensively to start with and just going for it from the off.

I wouldn't say I was any closer to the club, but I probably do spend a lot more time investigating and analysing what goes on. I've never been one to accept something just because someone says so and I've never been backward at coming forward when it comes to questioning things I don't understand or which don't make sense. Our main problem is that we have a rapidly reducing bank balance and no assets on which to secure any borrowing to see us through the lean times. We have a board of Directors spending money we can't afford to be spending (again) to try and make good promises they made and/or actions they've taken. The "again" refers to the money we spent making all those signings last January in order to try and cover up for Brewsters failings.....when the club should have admitted they were mistaken to have appointed him and get rid sooner. I accept that if we are to regain SPL status then we have to spend money, but we've seen nothing to indicate where that money is going to come from or who's going to pick up the bill if the Directors get it wrong again. Fans assume they Board have a plan...indeed, they've told us they have a plan, but what is it? How do we survive financially beyond this season if we remain in the 1st Div? More cuts? Reduced Squad? Part-Time players? Just how much can we cut the cloth, maintain promotion ambitions and avoid the slide? I remember about 7 years ago when shareholders agreed to the sale/transfer of the stadium in order to clear debt that we were told it was being done to clear the decks and make the way for further investment. At the time I questioned the logic...after all, who wants to invest in a club with no assets? Seems that my fears were, unfortunately, correct as we've not seen a penny of investment in the time since then.

I think LG's response to IHE was tongue in cheek. As far as I am aware the club can only sell tickets and programmes in and around the stadium and would need to get appropriate permission/license to allow them to sell beyond that.

Nearly impossible to say and pretty much depends (as things stand) on the whim of one man who appears to be running the show. If we're talking about the clubs "potential", then I would have no hesitation in saying that this club could/should be a consistent lower mid-table SPL club (placed 7th to 9th), occasionally finding ourselves making forays in to the upper mid-table (4th to 6th) when we have particularly good/lucky seasons. Unfortunately, I get the feeling we're heading towards a boom or bust scenario which could cause long term damage and result in us struggling to maintain upper 1st Div. Our Board seem to be adopting spending policies and taking financial risks which could leave us floundering under an unmanageable debt, with no assets to secure it against. If things don't go well this season and we don't see some major changes at the top then I'll predict administration within 5 years.
  22. Thanks RI, but since you were obviously there why not just tell everyone what you witnessed instead of trying to pass the buck??? :024:
  23. No, it was Well who did us!!!
  24. I think a wheel just fell off the bandwagon
