  1. I think one of them will be off sooner rather than later, Black off in januray or brewster sacked at end of season. i hope it will be brewster's head as i have been anti-brew since his return to the club. Brewster u know where the door is just go Brewster's out of contract at the end of the season so no need to sack him if we waited that long. It's really frustrating because we've all seen Brewster get things (in our view) spot on, but the longer time goes on, the more it seems to be by luck than good judgement. SOme Managers seem to have this thing that doing the unexpected can throw your opponent and give you an edge (we've all seen situations where a manager will throw a centre back on up front etc). When it works your considered a hero, when it doesn't your considered a fool.....do it consistantly and unsuccesfully then you should be heading for the dole queue. There's a number of things we see on a consistant basis which are doing us damage amd being exploited by other teams IMO. - This attempt to play the offside trap all the time...we're being torn a new one every week by forwards/wingers with pace who can easily beat it and we don't have enough pace at the back to recover the situation. - The long ball forward. - Playing players out of place....be it on the wrong wing or whatever, and even though some players may not be considered out of position they do have positions where they are stronger. Cowie and McBain are prime examples, we see the best from these players when they are played inside in a 5 man midfield. - Constantly changing partnerships up front. We saw us hammered last year because Niculae never had the same person playing alongside him 2 weeks running...how are players suppose to get an understanding between each other going in order to play these clever flicks and through balls if they are constantly being chopped and changed. - Tokely without Wilson in front of him and/or a centre back who understands that when Rossco goes forward someone needs to fill the hole and cover until he gets back. Either stop Rossco going forward or deal with the situation when he does...it's not a difficult concept to get a grasp of. As to Black on Saturday....I don't like to see any player throwing the club shirt around. That shirt does not represent Brewster, it represents the club and the fans and should be respected a bit more. However, I can fully understand Black's frustration...he's been head and shoulders above anyone else out there this season and to find himself being hooked when others around him aren't pulling their weight is baffling to say the least. Some might say that having the title of manager commands respect but I'm somone who says that it is something you earn and Brewster isn't going to be earning much when making decisions such as that.
  2. Paatelainen - as much as it was "nice" to give him 6 months to recover from injury when staring the operating losses we were then the club should have been more ruthless. Had he been something special then fair enough, but he isn't/wasn't. Other than that we can't afford to be getting rid of anyone unless we can bring in better replacements, and even then I have to say that I agree with comments above about us not seeing the best of the squad available and that is in part down to how they are being managed. Our start to this season has been better than last season, but I can't help feeling that we are capable of better than what we are seeing, and if Brewster views some of the performances as being great and us losing being down to bad luck then he's in denial.
  3. Whoever you might wish to pin blame on for the manner in which the Marius saga was handled there's no doubting that ICT didn't do as well financially as we have been led to believe they might.....and with Marius still due money then I don't think it's over yet and we could be looking at anything up to a ?200k increase in last years operating losses if the club end up having to pay out.
  4. You are spot on Alex.

Can you two take your petty squabbles to PM, the rest of us aren't really interested. Thanks.

Two Words....Second one is Off I can assure you that I showered on the morning of the match :thumb04:

  8. If that was another screw up from trying to play the offside trap then I'll be throwing things at the TV later on.
  9. Oh Bollocks......another goal dropped as a result of an unforced error by the sound of it.
  10. Disappointed to see Duff dropped to the bench.
  11. Not a good sign for Hearts. We heard similar stories at Gretna last year which were initially played down and then, before we knew it they, had gone to the wall!!! Technical problems in bank transfers and clearing don't take "a few days" to sort out, not unless systems have gone into meltdown, and are normally sorted within hours in order to catch the next batch runs. I'd hazard a guess that this is more of a cash flow issue than a data flow issue.
  12. DalneighCaley....I think staghunter is stalking you!!! Either that or you both take similar tea breaks Our numbers in the South are decreasing (due to the fact they're all moving up here, stealing our jobs and taking our women) and we could do with someone doing some recruiting down there again to swell the interest. I know of fans in Bristol and Coventry who will no doubt make themselves known in due course.
  13. Having had the chance to put my point to the club I am happy enough to concede that, whilst not ideal, the club are fully aware of the points I raised above and that such things were taken in to consideration when making the decision to increase ticket prices. I might not agree with it, but I at least have a better understanding of the reasons behind it. Hopefully, as the club and various fans groups move forward with plans to improve communication, decisions such as these will be better explained to us in the future and in doing so help remove some of the negative perceptions we have in regards to the reasons behind them.
  14. I think the situation with Hearts is a combination of communication issues. I know the club (ICT) always seek to have tickets for away games available to ICT fans on the day (other than for the OF where the request is like knocking your head against a brick wall). Most clubs have no issue with it, but Hearts for some reason always wait till the last moments before confirming it with us. There's then the knock on of it not being communicated effectively with the travelling ICT fans (or those based in the south). I know Scotty is taking notes of issues, questions and niggles to take to a meeting at the club and I'm sure he'll add this one to it and it can be resolved, certainly in terms of getting a clear message out to the fans once the club themselves know the position with Hearts and any other teams it should happen with.
  15. Your posts have not been removed, simply shifted to the correct part of the site (as I stated above). I have just PM'd you explaining the reasoning.

I think we'll be waiting a long time for "BBC Pictish"....however, in the meantime I'm happy for us to support our Irish cousins by promoting Gaelic, especially if it means we get a full televised ICT game.
  17. Utd's orange strips are pretty loud....does that count?
  18. I've spilt the "rumour" related posts off and put them in the Rumour Mill.
  19. Wilson played the entire 90 minutes in the reserve match on Tuesday and was running up and down the wing just as effectively as he ever has. Prior to Tuesday I might have agreed with you, but I've revised my opinion and think he would be more than capable of 60 minutes, and more.

Been doing a little more digging to establish the fact that we were led to believe that the stadium was being transferred to a Charitable Trust and I didn't have to look far. There's two articles on the official website which come under "Club History" which clearly state what I've been saying. The first can be found at - http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Club...~892997,00.html Where it says........ And also on - http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Club...~892999,00.html Where it says........ Their is also an article on the Scotsman site at - http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/SPL-extend...sors.2256483.jp - Which reads...... And one final link - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/low/football/..._ct/1077686.stm - the BBC archives which also state that it was the Trust which would be taking ownership of the stadium. We reported on it at the time and from memory the discussion on the forum centred around the fact that although not ideal to be selling the family silver, because it was going into a Charitable Trust then it was the best we could hope for under the circumstances. To now discover that in reality the property and lease ended up in the hands of a company which had/has the power to do as they please with it, and that any gains would not would not necessarily benefit either the club or a Trust which was to be set up to serve the interests of the footballing community leaves a bad taste in the mouth. All this, IMO, adds up to a very clear picture of us having the wool pulled over our eyes, and whilst the situation may never change, I do think we deserve some form of explanation as to why we were mislead. I can't help but feel that the whole "Charitable Trust" thing was nothing but a smokescreen to divert attention from what was really going on, as opposed to a change of plan for the benefit of anyone other than one person.
  21. Whilst I can see, and to a certain extent agree, with the principles of supply and demand and the fact that on the surface it makes sense to charge a premium for games where demand is higher, you also have to realise and accept that there's a breaking point beyond which you end up actually costing yourself money. In the same way that decreasing ticket prices doesn't mean you'll get enough extra bodies through the gate to justify the discount, if you increase prices too much and the numbers drop off too far then your cutting your own throat. I gave figures above to show just how narrow that margin is with regards to the price hike we are looking at for the OF matches. We got a crowd of 7004 people through the gate for this fixture last year, and from that you we can already see that demand isn't outstripping supply. If we assume that 3500 of those are Season Ticket Holders and maybe another 200 are comp tickets then your talking about 3300 paying customers (or there abouts). An extra ?2 of each of them nets you ?6600. By the time we hand over ?3000+ to Celtic we're looking at ?3600 to ourselves, the equivalent to 150 adult tickets at ?24 each. So if the price increase discourages 151 adults then the increase has had a negative effect on the clubs income from the game. And that's without taking in to consideration losses from program sales, 50/50 sales, merchandise etc etc. It would have been safer to have left prices as they were and employ a couple of temps for a week to handle the sale of Away tickets...they would have cost about ?600. Heck, I'd even volunteer my services for free for a week to keep our cash out of the hands of the OF. As I said, I can see where your coming from, but it's not as if people are just mindlessly complaining about the prices, some of us have actually looked at it a little deeper and can see just how narrow the margin is between success and failure on this one. For a club like ICT every penny counts and whilst I appreciate that we have some very business minded people at the club, I do wonder whether they are "football" minded enough to understand just how much even a ?2 increase on a ticket can p*ss enough people off so as to prevent them from attending....not only this match, but perhaps other matches in the future also. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what kind of crowd we get at the game before we will know for certain if it's a thumbs up or down in terms of the "financial" success....but I know where I'd be placing my bet.

This is the second coming, Alex's son Jordan.
  23. I sent the club an E.Mail on 23rd July asking for confirmation of ticket prices for "A" Class games as the details did not appear on the official site and I was updating our website for the switch over. The response I got read... As you can see, the ticket prices were set after the OF Levy was discussed.....and the clubs acceptance of the Levy is the only excuse they can realistically use. The OF ticket prices last year were ?2 more expensive than other matches, and this year they are ?4 more expensive.

ICT basically own 50% of a company which is not trading and has ?6000 of debt. Caledonian Thistle Properties IS NOT the trust and does not own the stadium buildings and/or the lease on the ground. It used to own Grant Street but sold it to the Common Good Fund a few years back.
