I only have 2 real issues when it comes to all of this. 1. The club tell us they are doing all they can whilst at least one Senior Club Official is passing large numbers of tickets to people connected to the local supporters club for visiting OF fans. Meanwhile other people at the club are left to carry the can and deal with the fallout when they have a genuine desire to stamp out the problem. 2. Yet again the issue of home fans not receiving the same treatment in regards to stewarding/policing as the visiting fans on the basis that as we are the "softer" touch then it is easier for them to "deal" with us and ignore the exact same events at the other end of the ground because they are "scared" of them or what might kick off. If it is getting to the stage whereby police are "scared" to deal with any element of any support then the answer is simple....they should not be allowed to enter the stadium in the first place. Either that or the team responsible for those fans must provide/meet the cost of sufficient manpower to deal with any situation that should arise. I don't give a feck about the money we would lose by not having them there. You know the whole world has gone mad when the generally better behaved support receive harsher treatment than the morons who are left to do as they please....just because your scared you might lose a few quid.

SMEE, can you provide more details of your broadband setup? It's my experience, having set up broadband for many people, that the issues are more often a result of how they have everything set up as opposed to a poor provider. How many things do you have attached to your line (phones, faxes, Sky etc)? How is everything filtered and how many filters? How far is your router/modem from the master box (length of cable)? What kind of cable is being used (BT Extension leads, Cat 5/e Cable etc)? I recently rewired all the telecoms stuff in my house - everything after masterbox as it is illegal to mess with what comes before it - and I now have my broadband filtered right at the source with no need for further filters etc throughout the house. It's not that expensive to do and if your half way confident with a screw drive and a pair of pliers you could probably do it yourself. I had been happy with my connection previously but as we were adding another PC and the Xbox to the connection I wanted to make sure we were squeezing everything we could from the line.

Tickets Gone...apologies to those I couldn't assist.

Loyalist princsess, welcome to the forum and thank you for you contribution to the discussion. Lets all try and keep it civil everyone...deep breaths...and lets not allow the conversation to get dragged into the gutter.

That reminds me....one or two people from this site still owe me a drink for managing to mention his endowment during a BBC Interview :015:

I have 2 Spare Tickets for the Rangers Game tomorrow if anyone has left it too late and found out the match is a sell-out. PM me if your interested. If your not a site regular or you don't know me then don't bother PMing me....these tickets will be going to known ICT fans only.

It seems to be a blip and I have managed to recreate the error here. First of, I can confirm that there's no issue with security. What the site appears to be doing is serving up a cached page when your session data has expired for the site front page. It shouldn't do it, but it is nothing more than an annoyance and I'll look into a fix.

I'm not surprised by the increased police presence for this match given the "berating" the Club, Stewards and Northern Constabulary got from the SPL following our first match at home against Rangers this season. I fully expect tolerance levels to be a good bit lower in regards to sectarian activity tomorrow.

He did indeed, he was either heading down to or coming back from picking up/dropping off family at Glasgow Airport.

If a person doesn't close out of the chatroom properly (just navigates away instead of exiting using the red button) then they linger there till the next person logs into chat and it resets the cache. It's just the way the software works and is not a "problem" in so much as it doesn't do any harm to the operation of the site.

Gringo Jnr will get in touch with all the details.

I wasn't having a go...honest guv. Given the choice of David Sutherland or anyone else connected to the club, I'd opt for Sutherland every time. At least you get a straight answer from him. :015:

Are you his agent?

And who knows....we might even end up getting 4 :crazy07:

Noted.... :022:

And here was me going to ask you if you wanted a free ticket as well.

Been a long time since we've had an out and out winger on the left at ICT. I don't think we can honestly say we've seen enough of Marcus to judge him or compare him to Rankin, but from what I've seen of him I think he is more than up to the job (provided he hasn't gone totally to pot after his injury). At home, we are always a bigger threat when someone gets up a bit of steam down one of the wings as the width of our pitch stretches the opposition. Not since the days of Robson have we fully utilised this to our advantage, instead relying on the likes of Rossco and Hastings to make the runs from the back. My vision for a 5 man midfield without Rankin would be something like Duncan-------McBain Cowie-------Black-------Paatelainen That would be the bones of a flexible midfield IMO and I would say we have ample cover to support it. Although another left sided midfielder would not go amiss, I think it would have to be more of a defensive midfielder as cover for McBain.

Shame we won't have any representation now from the footballing side of the club, especially with it being the transfer window and some of the speculation flying around in regards to some players.....could have made for some interesting discussion.

bollocks doesnt stop 7500+ turn out on a sunday old firm game, get a grip :015: I think what your really trying to say is that you disagree and the fact that 7500 turn out for Sundy fixtures against the Old Firm would suggest that this isn't that big a problem for people? To which I would respond........ The OF don't make for the best example at TCS, but if you look to their own grounds for Sunday Fixtures you will often see huge empty areas in the respective stadiums.

Hart (if he starts getting regular games) would be my choice.

Trying to recall some of the info that came out when he put in the offer to Elgin, and from memory he disappeared and refused to meet the club in person at the mention of "background checks". Part of his proposal for Elgin suggested that clubs from all around would flock to use the state of the art training facility...He mentioned teams from the SPL to the Highland League....apart from the geography involved....where did he expect HL teams to get the funds to hire such facilities!!! Aside from the fact that the guy doesn't have so much as a toe in the realms of reality, I don't think his current businesses are conducive with the operation of a community club. Like it or not, the church is still very powerful in and around Inverness and I think any involvement with this guy, regardless of anything else, would put a serious dent in our customer base. Backward thinking perhaps, but reality all the same.

This is one of those subjects that the club will never win on. When they choose to play the cards close to their chest, then some of the fans get upset because they aren't getting any information, and when they go public then the other half get upset because they aren't keeping things under wraps. At no time have I seen anything which said Rankin had a fixed price on his head. Back last year when Rankin wasn't getting a game and Brewster came back he was (according to reports) told the same thing as many of the players...if you want to play, then you have to earn your position. This didn't seem to please Rankin, whether that be because he thought he was frozen out for other reasons or he believed he was good enough to be guaranteed a start we are unlikely to find out. A statement from the club at the time said something along the lines of...we would be willing to listen to offers for Rankin come the transfer window...nowhere did it say we would sell him, and lets be honest, most clubs would be willing to listen to offers for any player in any window provided the price was right. Since then, and rather coincidentally, Rankin has played his way back in to the team. For that reason alone the club will have a higher valuation on Rankin than they might have had if he had still been sidelined. It's a catch 22, if he had been still on the sidelines we would unlikely be getting offers, and now that he's playing regular and playing well, we aren't going to accept nonsense offers. I think the club are right to be handling this they way they are.....far too often you get players playing the "personal reasons" card in the hope that clubs will somehow become easier to deal with and it is about time we drew the line or players will continue to try and p!ss all over the contracts they have with us. If Rankin is so desperate to get away then perhaps he should consider topping up the offer from one of the other clubs out of his own pocket as I don't see how we should be the ones to lose out because of what amounts to no more than a lifestyle decision on his part.

Welcome to the forums and don't worry about your opening post, there's posters who have hundreds/thousands of posts that miss things every day (me included). It served the purpose of reminding us that we needed to update that part of the site, so not wasted :022: Dive in and get involved, most people will be only too happy to answer your questions and we'll soon have you back up to speed.

You have to give the guy some credit for trying :015:
