Liam Fox has left Raith Rovers to take up a full-time coaching position at Hearts. At only 31, he's obviously still got a few years left as a player; but he'll predominately work with, and play for, their Development League squad. Possibly a good 'model' - having the older-headed 'boss' playing in the team, alongside the youth players he's coaching.

I think that's correct. Technically, Shinnie, for example, doesn't officially become a Don until 1st July.

As Saturday proved, there is a potential fan-base there which could be tapped for future growth. Although it's widely 'accepted' that we only have around 3,000-3,500 core fans, I've always thought that it's surely not the same folk who turn-up, week-in-week-out. It's probably more complex than that, with a small number of 'diehards' who are there at 80% of the games (some 100% of course), and a mixture of others who can be there when they can. I'd put myself in that bracket. This is a 'back of a fag packet' calculation of where our fans come from (with apologies for my clumsy attempt at categorising fans into 'type'). But, it perhaps demonstrates how retaining even a small fraction of the more casual fans could see us significantly increase our average attendance.

There will be many in the same boat, gyles - me too! Really hard for most to get time off work, midweek at short notice. My 'annual leave' is submitted and then ratified in February each 'calendar year' - and after that, there's little room for flexibility! I've never booked them around what might happen in football - as It just makes me look a dick! I'll get to the home game though!

After much speculation about how many we'd sell, what was the official ICT attendance on Saturday? I've seen 14,000 as a reported figure. I remember the 7,800 for the League Cup final and always hoped we'd be able to 'mobilise' 10,000 if we ever made the big final. Think, it's safe to say we shattered that!!! It's quite surreal to think that a European team will be flying into Dalcross to play Caley Thistle! Just the Polish and Greek leagues are left to complete their seasons (on Sunday) and the full list of clubs we can face will then be known! We'll be one of 117 clubs involved in the Europa draw on 22nd June - and of our potential 116 opponents, at this stage, only 5 can be 'ruled out'. St Johnstone and Aberdeen obviously, but 3 others who will definitely be joining us as unseeded clubs in the Q2 draw, with IFK Gothenburg being one we won't face. Exciting times!
