I hope County keep winning, as long as ICT do! Having two Highland teams in the SPL would be great (and infuriate those pesky central belters!). I don't think having ICT go down and County coming up would be good for neither team, league or region though.

I see that Hearts are trying to get rid of quite a few players. Now, Driver, Templeton and Zaliukas would never come here and would be far too expensive anyway. There's two others though - would Ian Black come back? I seem to recollect he and Butcher were big friends the last time he was here. Unlikely yes, but not impossible. The other one they're getting rid of is John Sutton. Would he come? I do seem to recollect Christie trying to sign him few years ago. Perhaps he would be a little costly (unless he came in on loan), but he is the Rooney-esque player that ICT are missing.

What do contracts really matter in the modern game? The "Steve Paterson to Aberdeen saga" is a great example of that. IIRC Pele signed a massive deal with ICT (five years was it?) to continue as manager back in 2002 - he said that there was still work to be done - three weeks later he was gone. I have seen Butcher's name come up in the odds list and the last time I saw, he was 12-1 to get it. What are the chances of him going? I'd say slim to none. He seems committed here and from what I gather see's himself staying for the foreseeable future (I've also heard on the grapevine that apparently he doesn't think that even Rangers would pry him away from ICT).

Why anyone would want to play Proctor over Hogg at centre-back of all places against Celtic is unfathomable! Hogg simply HAS to come back in - the defence is far far better with him in it. Proctor is not a centre-back and never has been. I also believe that any form of conservative play, damage limitation or "waiting for the break" is just footballing suicide. If that happens, it's over before it begins. ICT simply have to play positively and look to attack. The Celtic defence this season is very dodgy and playing attacking football is the way, not just to get a result, but win the game - something I believe is entirely possible a week on Saturday.

I recollect reading an article a few weeks back that said that Central Coast Mariners boss Graham Arnold (who was also in the running for the St Johnstone job) had been lined up to replace Calderwood whenever he went. This was when the whole "will he go to Forest" saga was on-going. That would be an interesting choice.

IIRC it is level with the highest amount of goals scored in an SPL game, but it is not the biggest win - that was a 6-1 in over Gretna in 2007/08. Highest amount of goals we have scored but 9 is not the highest scored in any spl game. There was the 6-6 Motherwell Hibs game a couple of years ago That's what I meant - for ICT.

An attacking 4-3-3 for me - Esson Meekings Tokely Hogg Gillet Davis Tansey Foran Tade A.Shinnie Hayes Subs - Tuffey, Golobart, G.Shinnie, Chippendale, Piermayr, Cox, Sutherland Hogg has to come straight back in IMO. Celtic have seem to a have very dodgy defence these days, so three strikers to press high up the pitch.

What's going on with Butcher in the highlights at about the 4:20 mark? He seems to be going beserk at someone in the stand. And it's not someone just behind him either, it looks more like someone way up the top.

What I don't understand is that he says "he doesn't care that he'll get pelters". If that's the case, why doesn't he post it on here then?

A sense of total outrage, lots of exclamation marks and you can always tell someone is mad when they right in CAPITAL LETTERS! It couldn't be him..........again.........could it...? Edit - This is also the same poster who said last year that Butcher was right to get rid of Lionel Djebi-Zadi, not because he was rubbish, but because during the trophy presentation, he "walked out slowly"!
