  1. All in all it was an all right sort of game, but it could of been so much more. Nice to see ICT passing the ball on the deck a lot more. Esson had little to do, Golly and Munro looked solid, as did Tokely. I'm still not a fan of him at centre-half mind, as he seems far too keen to pull out wide and at teams seems to play as ICT's 2nd right back. Cox fairly zipped about, while Duncan I thought had a quieter game, while Hayes played well and Foran worked hard. Rooney also put the effort, but Sanchez didn't seem to be quite as good. He does seem to have a bit of class, but his passing wasn't the best and he seldomly takes his chances. If he could actually score goals, he'd be some player (I actually also thought he hit the woodwork three times. To me it looked like he hit the post, not long after he hit the bar in the second half.) An okay game and a good win. How Airdrie beat Dundee I'll never know, they were pretty rotten.
  2. That's surely got to be the end of Mowbray now. I'm quite surprised actually, I thought he would be quite good.

No longer do we have a Barry Wilson or a John Rankin. or a Don Cowie :P Most of Cowie's corners were rubbish. Most were just wee flicks to the edge of the box. Does anyone else remember Odhiambo's corner about a month ago? I laughed it was so bad.
  4. :P Now some of the Celtic fans finally find out what it's like to support a wee (or normal) team.
  5. For me - Esson Tokely-----Bulvitis-----Munro-----Golabek Cox Duncan Hayes Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Proctor, Odhiambo, Eagle, Djebi-Zadi/McBain/Ross
  6. Some noble travellers have already set off.

That's the problem, there's really no-one in the current squad who is that good at it.

His set pieces aren't even that good. Some of his corners are like glorified, knee high passes. Eagle's got a good cross, while Stratford can take a good corner.
  9. It's because of the "Highland Mentality". Folk are quieter, more reserved etc.
  10. I didn't know Bulvitis was playing.
  11. I never saw TB tonight - MM seemed to be in charge, and it has to be said, did a pretty good job. Anyone know where TB was? Watching Partick Thistle maybe? He was in the stand because of his touchline ban I think.
  12. Well lets have a look - Robbo/Park - ICT - Success Robbo/? - Hearts - Okay Robbo/? - Ross County - n/a left pretty early. Robbo/? - Livingston - Sacked Robbo/? - Derry City - Sacked So by the looks of things, Robbo's record without Park is somewhat mediocre.
  13. Something else I'd do besides passing and stuff in training, would be to play loud rock records on speakers when the players train, as well as just before they go out. The Brazilians practice to music, so why can't ICT? And it's not just that, studies have shown that playing songs with hard beats and big choruses (Meat Loaf being a prime example) can lead to road rage. Perhaps playing Meat Loaf and Bruce Springsteen records during the training and in the changing rooms on loud speakers, could inspire the team to victory!
  14. I was actually going to start a thread on the same thing and I have to agree with the OP. This long ball garbage that ICT have resorted to since Brew returned is for me, one of the things that cost ICT relegation. It's also interesting to note that ICT seem to create more chances when the ball is on the deck. This could clearly be seen yesterday. Butcher has said that he wants to "win ugly", well from what I could see, playing ugly football does nothing but bring ugly results for ICT, but that's part of his game plan and he's done that almost all the clubs he managed. There times when the long ball stuff can work. Obviously going all out for an equaliser in the last minute of the cup final would be a prime example, but the way ICT go into every game with this mindset IMO does more harm than good, with Munro being the main culprit. Time to punt the punt, and bring back attacking football.
  15. First of all, I thought Eagle had a very good game on Saturday, and IIRC when he signed for ICT, it was reported that he could play left wing, as well as a left back. Along with that, as you can see I've gone with a rather attack minded, Dutch-esque 4-3-3 which would give the full backs the opportunity to get forward. With Lionel, I've always believed that he is a fairly effective player going forward, despite having his, how shall we say, moments at the back. If he was played in this position, with a licence to go forward, and out of harms way at the back, then I think he could be a fairly effective player.
  16. No, I'd change it. If Duncan and Golly are indeed available I'd go - Esson Tokely-----Bulvitis-----Munro-----Golabek Cox Duncan Hayes Sanchez Rooney Foran Subs - Allison, Eagle, Djebi-Zadi, Proctor, Odhiambo/McBain/Ross
  17. Maybe not for away games, but ICT need to starting winning homes game that would otherwise be draws. I reckon this formation should be scrapped at home from now on and ICT attack and win games comfortably at home, something this formation doesn't always do.
  18. Anyone else think that this 4-2-3-1 thing has had it's day?
  19. Robertson doesn't seem to be a particularly good manager without Donald Park.
  20. Is he wrong though?

    Hilarious.....
  22. I went - Esson Duncan Golabek Though I see one bright spark voted for Bulvitis...
  23. Actually, when Eagle was signed, it was reported that he can play anywhere down the left (including left back).
