  1. When was that?

    4-2-3-1

    I prefers Chile's 3-3-1-3 formation myself.
  3. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I stopped noticing the sound of them ages ago.
  4. I don't think Black had much experience either really. I believe he played in the Blackburn Reserves a few time and trained with the first team, but that was about it.
  5. That interesting, as I also heard a while ago that the stripes would be back. Lets hope so!
  6. Someone reported that it was Jim Leighton the other week IIRC.
  7. Heard he arrives at the club on the 15th July, dont have a name but he is a mate of Butchers? any speculation? Peter Shilton!?
  8. Not unless ICT change to 4-4-2 with Hayes and Foran on either wing with Blumenshtein partnering Rooney up front.
  9. I see Grimsby Town have just released their new shirts which are also made by Errea. Something like this but with red and blue stripes perhaps? :P
  10. Now that ICT are back in the SPL, each player will be given an individual number. I presume Esson will take the number 1 shirt, despite being number 23 last time. Will Tokely go back to the number 2? Will Hayes take the number 11? Will Golly go back to his old number 3 shirt? From the article about the new signings on the official site, it looks like Max Johnson will take the number 22 shirt, while Gil Blumanshtin the number 18. And also, surely Rooney will go back to the number 9. He better, or his song would make no sense! Discuss.
  11. Does anyone else recollect Butcher saying that there was a chance that two keepers may be brought in during the pre-season? It's also interesting to note that Butcher has also said that he wants some experienced competition for Esson, something that this newly signed keeper does not have much of (yet), bar some reserve games at Newcastle. Perhaps the case is (also bearing in mind about Butcher's bids for Tuffey), that Max Johnson may be third choice keeper next season with someone else being brought in to fight for the number 1 spot with Esson.
  12. I don't remember the exact date, but it was quite late on IIRC. Edit - Had a look, and it looks like the away kit last season was unveiled on July 15th 2009.
  13. It could be though that ICT were looking at him in the last few months, and would then bring him in on trial when training starts up again.
  14. I think there could be a chance that if Odhiambo plays well next season he may be called up to the Tanzania squad. It happens all the time on Football Manager!
  15. Well that's him. ICT seem to have a history of taking players who maybe didn't fulfil their whole potential and help them turn out good. Hopefully this is another one of those.
  16. I just find that a bit rude. Sorry.
  17. Well I've never met, but I don't think I'd want to. I just can't back or have any support for such dull, arrogant person. He seems to be unable to put two words together most of the time. I even saw him eating through an interview once! Anyone But Andy for me.
  18. :024: I think most people reading the article would have grasped pretty quickly that even though he was going on trial with a Football League side, doesn't mean he won't have a trial here as well, after he was indeed linked with a move here. Pretty simple stuff really.
  19. As has been reported recently new players will be coming in on trial, with this article revealing that one of those players may well be former Blackpool, Swindon and Port Vale left back Paul Edwards. He was last at Barrow and was part of their FA Trophy winning side. His Wikipedia page also states that he can play either left back or on the left wing. The article also states that he is apparently set to go on trial with a Football League side, but which one is not stated. It's also interesting to note that a couple of weeks ago when Golabek signed a new deal, Butcher stated that he was looking to bring two new defenders in, with at least one of those being a full back. Thoughts?
  20. The first ICT friendly is only a few weeks away ain't it? It's on the 19th or something against Clach I believe, so presumably then, the new kit should be revealed in the next couple of weeks or so.
  21. Personally I'm quite glad he got beat actually. Sure he's good at the tennis but I just can't get behind such a dull, boring human being. He has the personality of a corpse! Such a dour, dour man - at least Henman actually sounded at least a slightly bit interested when was being interviewed. Sorry people, I just can't stand him or his cringe-inducing mother. Well done Nadal!
  22. And that one goal was scored against.......North Korea!
  23. Richard Kingson's his name. His brother played for Hearts. Though he's called Kingston for some reason.
  24. Well I'm gutted for Ghana. They played well and the game could've either way, but it would've been nice to see an African side do well (even though technically, Ghana are the furthest going African side in a WC ever. Senegal and Cameroon were beaten in extra time, while Ghana went to penalties!). Asamoah Gyan in particular I'm gutted for, for missing his penalty, but then having the courage to step up and take the first one and hit it perfectly. He's played very well throughout the tournament as well. Obviously there's the whole argument about the actions of the Uruguayan handballer, what he did I suppose was punished but morally what he did benefited his team, which really isn't gentlemenly and in the spirit of the game. What this game does show tough, is that you have to take your chances, and the fact that Ghana didn't and some of their players took some horrible penalties cost them. We'll see an African winner one day, and it could well be them. It might not happen in the next couple of WCs but it'll happen one day, of that I have no doubt.
  25. It's actually probably a lot more than that. I remember hearing on the radio a while ago that if a soldier is killed in battle it counts as 1 death. If a soldier is injured in battle and is taken back to the base, and then dies from his injuries, that also counts as 1. But, if a soldier is injured and is then flown back to the UK, and then dies of his injuries here, then that doesn't count. So, theoretically the death toll may be quite a bit more I believe.
