Dee Day For Butcher?
Actually, I've heard that Butcher's on double that every year.

Levein for Scotland
So.... In the unlikely event that you ever found yourself in his position what would you do? I would stay at Dundee United.

New stock
My understanding of County is that they get blank Addidas kits and stick their own logos on. Don't know how true that is mind.

Levein for Scotland
I don't think he should take the job. If I was in his position, I wouldn't.

Signings For Next Season
What about Matthew Booth? South African guy who has played for the national team about 20 times. Certainly big enough, he's about 6"6.

Signings For Next Season
I'll take it that was Staņislavs Pihockis then? BTW - Was that other Latvian boy who came on trial with Mihadjuks one of your finds as well?

Signings For Next Season
I saw a few games from last season where Moore featured and thought he was very good each time. Unlike Charlie Miller who was rubbish.

Mark Hughes sacked?
Who told you this? There's been rumours going round the last couple of days that Hughes was interested in coming up here. Did you not here about that?
-
Mark Hughes sacked?
Absolutely ridiculous if Hughes is sacked. What more do some of these teams want?

Signings For Next Season
What about Craig Moore? Apparently is keen on a loan move back to Europe. Might be getting on a bit but is the kind of player ICT desperately need.

Barry Wilson
What makes you think he'd be an "ideal" replacement? He could be an absolute disaster for all we know. It could also be said that he may be too close to the team and in some ways, should Butcher go say, at the end of the season, that would be essentially him being promoted, becoming the boss of players that used to be equals. Not always a good idea. BTW - I voted "Yes".

todays crowd
Why? Do you want to learn them for next week?

Who ate all the pies?
Since when did people eat pizza at football matches?

Us and Them?
Okay, I get your points, but I'm not on here to mock anyone, that's for others to do to me. :( I know, I know, I should be more merry. I promise to be more optimistic and jolly from now on. :)

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
Did anyone else think Gathuessi was quiet good for Raith when he came on?

Us and Them?
So what are the accurate facts and the correct points then?

Tevez wins the league for Man Utd
ICT and Liverpool have already played each other, albeit being essentially the Liverpool kids team.

Us and Them?
Have we become a team of us and them? "Us" being the supporters, "Them" being the inside of the club. I feel that over the last few years, the divide between the club and the supporters is breaking further and further apart. As can be seen with the current ticket prices, the sky high prices for sub standard pies and burgers, sometimes which aren't even there to be sold and he way the club seem dis-interested in pursuing Boardroom Banter. Even in the latter, the club seemed to answer questions in a sense of "We know best, you know nothing", whilst also displaying a rather high and mighty attitude. Look at the way we are treated compared to those in hospitality. Those regular hospitality supporters seem more important to them, than the normal supporters. I believe those on the inside of ICT, seem to look at us as being merely peasants. They don't care for us, whilst they stay nice and warm in their cosy little boxes and eating their top class three course meal. Should any supporters do things that may be against the team, or those on the inside (see the Brewster Out saga), they clamp down like a totalitarian regime. Once again coming out with a "We are right, you are wrong" attitude. I feel the ICT divide is big now and getting bigger, and something needs to be done so the supporters can feel and be part of the club again. Discuss

Who ate all the pies?
I went to get a pie at about 10 minutes before kick off and was standing at the wall area of the main stand. Usually with that queue size, I get my order within 3 or 4 minutes. Well I stood there for about five minutes and barely moved, so just gave up. I went to the West Stand pie bit at half time and got a pie and bovril (I actually wanted a coffee, but they didn't have any and I'd have to wait till they came). Bovril was okay, but the pie was really annoying. You got in a wee silver bowl and the thing just fell apart, and you couldn't even pick it up to eat it. And that's not mentioning the prices. ?3.20 for a cheese burger! You get them for ?1.50 down the town. I have religiously bought ICT pies for years, but I won't be next time.

Boardroom Banter
Whatever happened to Boardroom Banter? It's like a ghost town over there these days.

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
ICT had corner in the second half when the ref blew for pushing or something just before the ball was kicked. While the ref was talking to something, Rooney had to sort himself out and dropped his shorts, displaying his black undergarments to do so. Urggh, I wont be getting much sleep tonight.

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
On the whole, it was an alright game. Didn't see much of Rooney's goal from where I was cause of the mist. Saw him hit it but that was about it. I then knew it was in, when the sound of crows filtered round the ground like a Mexican wave! On the whole, Raith never had any real clear cut dangerous chances, and Esson had very few real saves to make. One thing I did notice today was though, there seemed to be a pattern in ICT's style of play - winger passes to central midfielder, central midfielder passes to defender, defender passes to keeper, keeper boots it up the park. Pretty uninspiring stuff. I also noticed that a lot of players seem to get on the ball, and then have to think about they do next. I noticed with Hayes for one, a couple of times. For me, the best players today were toss up between Hayes, Cox and Odhiambo. The two wingers looked decent, but may have been better had they been on the correct sides from the start. Hayes looked good, but could with charging down the wing a bit more as soon as he gets the ball. Cox was quiet good passing the ball around in the middle, and also when running with it. Of the rest, Esson had little to do but could do with cutting down his long hoofs. Djebi-Zadi had moments of being good, and others of being a bit dodgy. Still much better going forward than defending, and was also still better than Golabek. Duncan and Foran weren't missed at all. Sanchez was okay at times, but I did notice a couple of times, the ball would be near him and he'd slow down instead if attacking it. Wasn't overly impressed by Duff. He wasn't bad, his passing was okay (certainly better than Duncan's) but he was nothing special. Proctor looked a bit dodgy of times and does seem to be offly vulnerable at the back, Bulvitis was okay, as was Munro. The last two again were okay, but nothing overly special. ICT still look a bit weak defensively and really really need a big centre back, who can also rally the troops. Rooney took his goal well and had moments where he seemed to be working hard, but is another one who doesn't seem to know what to do at times. I also recollect him being through on goal more than once and then just stopping. Once in particular when he was clean through and then looked to hold the ball up and look for the pass. Sometimes he could do with being a bit more greedy and going for it himself. And we seriously did not need that Nacho Novo moment when he was waiting for the corner. That was disgusting! Of the subs, Stratford was on for seconds and didn't touch the ball, and Eagle was okay and had one very good cross. And then there's Imrie. What an egomaniac. Always goes for it himself, always goes for glory and always has a go at other players when they don't give him the ball. I will shed no tears when this wannabe leaves. On the whole, Butcher should really have set Hayes and Odhiambo to the correct wings and cut out this whole hoofing nonsense. He needs to tell the players as well, to play the ball forward or to the wings, not backwards all the time. A win is win today, but if ICT want to get anywhere this season, they're going to have to go in with a more positive game plan.

Stuart Duff
Wow that's hilarious.... Anyway, I'm led to believe it'll be the same back line again tomorrow, so this bloke will probably be at right midfield. Can't say I know much about him, but what emergency has taken place so an emergency loan has been brought in? On the whole though, it's not really in the midfield that players are needed just, ICT are crying out for a decent centre half to challenge Bulvitis and Munro.
