I had no idea gypsies were renowned for their swimming skills. Agree on some of the other points though, he seems to think he's a genius and aint half as good as he thinks he is.

A major factor for me is that there is no leader on the park whatsoever. That and the fact, that the ICT defence is shakey at best is an influence, along with there being no big centre back in the form of Mann or Dods in there.

Yes you can. I get the impression Butcher told them to try and contain Dundee in the second, doesn't matter if the line up wasn't changed at that point. After the first chance in the second half, it was defending after that, A - because that is probably what they were told to do, and B - cause Dundee made changes on the field and in playing style and were starting to run ICT ragged.

To sum it all up, that was a typical Caley Thistle performance, and some things never change. They bottled it........again! The first half, from what I could from my PC screen and listening to Radio Scotland, was that ICT started the game excellently. Hayes looked by far the best, running and running down the wing. The two goal lead was thoroughly deserved, but once again couldn't make a lead, a win. It was obvious what Butcher told the team at half time. Defend, defend, defend. Did it work? Course not. Dundee went into attack mode, cutting out the danger man of Hayes in the process, a man reduced to anonymally in the second half. The rest of the squad were pretty average for most of the game, though Munro looked pretty solid throughout. Esson for me wasn't as good as normal and doesn't seem confident when coming for crosses, Bulvitis looked okay at times, but typically undid his goal with another, just for the other team. And once again there's Rooney. Besides his goal he does nowt. And why oh why was Imrie and Odhiambo not on when Dundee went ahead, with a strong attack line to try and equalise. The former essentially went over the top again, in the 90 seconds or so he was on. I doubt he got sent off for the tackle alone, that was probably a yellow, but his big headed back-chat was probably what did it. Bad tactics from Terry and a failure to capitalise on a healthy lead is what killed ICT today. I'm a bit disappointed, but not surprised.

What on Earth is going on with Richie Hart's moustache? He looks like a cross between George Michael and one of the Village People.

Tour of Texas Turns out the second one I was thinking of, the "Tour of Texas" was most certainly not another ICT related dream I had, as I've just found some info on it.

Just wondering about this just now and I'd forgotten all about it, until recently when it came back to me. Did I just dream this, or was there rumours of ICT taking part in a couple of pre-season friendlies around about 1999/2000ish, against none other than Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona! I seem to remember reading it in one of the papers at the times, and then hearing people near me talking at game around about the same time an saying what nonsense it was. Did I just dream all this stuff or was it really rumoured at the time? Another rumour (which I'm more sure of) was a couple of seasons ago, was that there was talk that ICT were going to go on a tour of Texas, with a friendly against Houston Dynamo in the pipeline. IIRC ICT went to Italy instead. Why was tour this scrapped?

I noticed when I was there that no game being filmed (sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't). Shame really cause it was a great goal.

The name simply was the "Singing Section". You're also right saying there was a bit of confrontation with the stewards down there once (against Arbroath in the CIS Cup, where Nicuale scored his first double for ICT). That's also the reason for those advertising boards being there, to stop people sitting on the wall. It's been seldomly used since.

I reckon that the result of the Cup Final on Sunday could well influence how long Butcher is here for.

No, cause even if it did happen, most of us weren't alive at that time, even those who were would've moved on by now. Maybe next time I see ICT play, I won't be supporting Richie Foran and Johnny Hayes. After all, they might be Nazis!

I more than most I have probably ruffled a few feathers and taken a stance that may be viewed as an "alternative" view and that has often been an unpopular aproach. After all what do you expect? My username is not "HappyClapper" or "123Agree", I am an alternative, I am a devil's advocate, I am a Renegade. What I've always tried to do, is not come on fiercely with only one view on certain things, been open to other's viewpoints (I've often changed my view when seeing other's viewpoints) and not gone on witchhunts to increase my own self pleasure. Sadly in recent months to the last year or so, the latter seems to be on the up. I can't count the number of times I've had the brunt of the witch hunt for the ultimate crime of disagreeing with such and such a point. It usually starts with me posting my view, one regular anti-Renegade poster coming on and unsurprisingly disagrees, and then on come the rest of the cheerleaders with non-comments to the first disagreer like "100% agree!" or "Renegade you're an idiot!" and no doubt a few smileys just for good measure. I must be the most hated poster on the site these days, it's become hilarious. On another note there's a couple of types of posters that have sprung up over the last couple of years. One that I have noticed kow is that there's one or two regular posters (who will remain anonymous), who do nothing but come on here but to cause trouble. You can often spot them. They seldomly have any individual views of their own other down negative ones and belittleing others one, usually only posting a line or so at the most. They're also the first to point out other's mistakes (such as the awful crime of a minor spelling mistake) and start a hate group against a poster they not like. They're also ultra-pedantic and will often act all incident when any attacks are made on them (some also like to suck up to the mods when this happens or even "admit their mistake" when a mods points out their mistake to them). Just ban these morons. They are not to any benefit to this site or other posters on here. Another lot are these often school age posters who just seem unable to post in normal manner. I have no problem with whatever a certain posters age is as long as they can come across maturely and respectively. There seem to be some though that come on pretty regularly posting usually rather short lines of nonsensical nuggets of nothing, usually with a few smileys and exclamation marks thrown in for good measure. I'm not calling for this lot to be banned, just told to post in a normal and mature manner, cause the way some of this lot goes on unreadable posting mararthons IMO just makes the whole place look unprofessional. That's my view, though on the whole I would say I have no problem with most of the posters on this site (even the ones who disagree :D ), but there are a few groups that need to be dealt with to make this site a more enjoyable and informative place.
