  1. Dean McDonald didn't much game time because he was lazy, too slow, too fat and all round rubbish! His plummet through the echelons of English football tells you all you need to know about him. We've had poor players who had some at least some positive features (Lionel Djebi-Zadi was fast for example), but Dean 'Deano' McDonald must be the most talentless player we've ever had.
  2. As there seems to be some talk that Meekings is close to re-signing, that leaves potentially at the start of next season with a starting line-up of this: Brill Vincent Warren Meekings Tremarco Tansey Draper Doran Christie Williams Foran Sub(s) - Esson Seemingly Vincent can play at right-back and as a starting XI, it's alright but we'd need some reinforcements. At least two new strikes, a centre-back, an attacking midfielder and two new full-backs either side would be musts. It's a forgone conclusion that Shinnie will be away and I think Watkins and Ross will be away as well. I did see somewhere someone saying that Mckay is actually keen to stay now. I'd expect Raven to stick around and probably Devine. Can see Polworth and Horner being released though.
  3. Ah Over The Bridge at it's best eh!
  4. My summary - ICT - brilliant. County - terrible. Fans - Terrific! That is all.

Ewan Murray was the one who said Yogi had the ICT job when everyone else thought it was guaranteed to be Hartley. Due to his position, I would there's a good chance there's some truth in it unfortunately.

I think I'm right in saying that Victoria Park's pitch is fairly narrow, certainly narrower than the Caley Stadium's one anyway. With that in mind, I don't think wingers will be that effective overall. Also, let's take the game to them. The likes of Scott Boyd is a solid centre-back, but he's as slow as a week in jail. Get Mckay and Watkins back up-front and let them get past them. For me - Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Tansey Ross-------------Williams Christie Watkins Mckay Subs - Esson, Tremarco, Vincent, Doran, Devine, Sekajja, Polworth* *Horner in if Polworth's out. A couple of months back, Vincent played in a reserve match sat in-front of the back four. He was very good in that role, as his general recycling of possession is decent, but he doesn't offer much bite going forward. Sat next to a Draper type, I think he could flourish there. I'm sure when he signed as well it was reported that he'd played there at times for Stockport and Kidderminster Harriers.
  7. I remember someone saying to me once that they're idea to stop diving to win penalties was that if a player dived and it was clear and blatant to the referee, the ref should give a penalty at the other end. I don't know how easy it would work, but it certainly would cut it out.
  8. Good for him. Shame we can't say that for some of the others (one or two in-particular who having been getting much game time lately).
  9. I think you're right. The requirements to play in Division 3 are to install floodlights of a certain standard and a medical room (or something along those lines). When the pyramid system was agreed, only Clach and Wick were up to standard, but I'm sure I did hear recently that Brora had installed these floodlights to match with the requirements.
  10. Especially for those who travelled down to the first game.
  11. Did Spartans not get to the quarters a few years ago?
  12. Presume it'll be called off because of the game tomorrow. They should play it as a warm up act at the stadium before the St Mirren match actually! That's what they do in South America.
  13. It'd be nice if ICT gave a big discount to those who were at the first fixture at least. For me - Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Tansey-----------------Ross Christie Watkins Mckay Subs - Esson, Doran, Sekajja, Vincent, Devine, Tremarco, Williams
  14. Jim Calder was part-time, he was a bricklayer. Don't know about the rest, but I'm pretty sure he was our last part time first team player.
  15. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Ross-----------Williams Christie Sekajja Mckay Subs - Esson, Devine, Doran, Vincent, Tremarco, Polworth, Ferguson
  16. I think that's a very good point. When it comes to the stadium's openness and it's battering from the wind and rain for months of the season, that would be probably almost entirely diminished if we had summer football. I reckon as well, you'd see a bigger away crowds, because travelling (especially up from the central belt) would be a far more worthwhile and safer experience in July than it would be in January.
  17. I saw a post on P&B by a Ross County fan actually who thought that the area between the new uni and the railway line would be a good spot and build a new train station within it. I don't what that sites like in terms of building a stadium there or the ins and outs of new railways stations but it's a nice idea. There was post a while back on here from a poster who seemed to suggest that the club had looked at relocating to this sort of area in the past, so maybe a new stadium at some stage isn't just a pipe dream. Presume we'd need to find a buyer for the land though. Were Asda not very close to buying it once?
  18. I think the stadium's a far bigger issue than people realise. It's a poorly placed, poorly designed mess and not exactly enticing to casual fans home or away. Unless we redevelop it or move somewhere else, crowds will only go down IMO.
  19. He's signed up until January I believe.
  20. Presume it's the Tokely red against Rangers is the tackle he's referring to.
  21. Presumably that's in conjunction with Michael Fraser's goalkeeping school thing.
  22. I once heard that Larry actually attended the first Scotland-England game but had to leave at half time to put out some fires and then start his 36 hour shift at the cotton mill.
  23. I see Ben Greenhalgh came on as a substitute and provided the cross for the winning goal in Maidstone United's 2-1 win over Stevenage in the FA Cup tonight. Steve Watt is there as well but didn't feature. I must also point out that Maidstone's number 9 is the rather strangely named Jay May! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29999662
  24. Theoretically, if you booked the Megabus far enough in advance and walked to each ground, you could get it for about £5 return. The ICT buses don't even have WiFi ( ) and while some do have a telly, they don't pick up real telly, let alone Sky, so I was once subjected to having to watch Shrek. Shrek! No I don't think they would jump, at least not by much, but (and this is across the board in Scottish football), prices are out of control. IMO for the standard of football we actually see, £15 is about right. £20+ is simply outrageous.
  25. ?????? A post earlier on said that you can't do better than £15 return but it turns out you can. The crux of the matter is though, people can talk about breaking even etc. all they like, but for the price we pay, do we really see a standard of football that justifies it? I wonder how many people would like to come to more ICT games, but have simply been priced out by their own club. If prices keep going up, there'll probably be many more as time goes on.
