As mentioned in the thread, we only needed seven points. Hardly a triumph in that case. Are you also not worried that when he took over, we were second and going strong but have now plummeted to fifth, with sixth looking a real possibility. Hughes's points ratio since he came is 22 points in 22 games. That's relegation form. If it was so easy, we didn't we do it? He also won one match, on penalties, against what must be the worst Hearts side in decades and we even nearly bottled that. Only Draper and Vincent have re-signed under Hughes, hardly "all our players" as you call it. Most contract renewals are dealt with by the chairman as well. The points ratio under Butcher was much better than Hughes. As mentioned previously, Hughes has 22 points in 22 games. That's relegation form. Brilliant? He's been good, but he's not been fantastic. The points do not show how "Hughes has helped us" at all. I don't understand the point you're making about Aberdeen, Hughes has only beaten them once and Ross County are garbage. The fact they're our rivals shouldn't matter. Why should we just be happy for a bonus? Why does the team need adapted, when it was going strong when he took over? Isn't pre-season the time to change tactics. Doing it mid-season is absolutely ridiculous and not working. Latapy was a superb player, Hughes was a good player, but no world beater, but that has nothing to do with it. Also, there previous records are not good at all. Latapy was sacked by the Trinidad and Tobago FA and failed to get them to the Gold Cup. Hughes failed everywhere but Falkirk and even then it wasn't exactly fantastic, they were almost relegated, bottled the cup final with the general consensus being that he would have been sacked had they not gotten there. It's also interesting that their fans don't seem to rate him at all, despite being this "success" that everyone goes on about. Hughes first became a manager 11 years ago. He's done essentially nothing in that time. Oh and for the record, I've only missed one match since Hughes took over.
  2. "Officially" it is still a rumour in that there has been no official announcement, but it is almost certainly correct.
  3. Seemingly this is very close to what Killie are having next season (they're going to have Errea too). Wonder if ours will be a red and blue version? Might look quite smart actually!
  4. Really? Spoke to someone who knows one of them today and they said that Pepper, Evans and Gorman are all offski.
  5. That says his last game was the 8th April. About three weeks ago!

Does anyone out there really think that Hughes has been a good choice, done a good job and in hindsight would still have gone for him? I know I don't. When I look down to the dug-out now, I see a man who doesn't look to me know like he knows what to do. He's really nothing more than an all-out possession based Craig Brewster. Forget all this paper-talk as well about the likes of Gary Warren saying the players are loving it. He's not exactly going to say it's rubbish is he?! Heard again yesterday from a totally different source that some of the players are absolutely hating it. People can dismiss that if they like, but I'm afraid that it's almost certainly a fact.

    Forever in our U20 shadow!
  8. Christie can't be any worse than Vincent, who's done absolutely nothing for the last few games. Needs dropped IMO, but seems to be one of Hughes's favourites.
  9. No Shinnie?! Eh?! Brill Raven* Warren Meekings Shinnie Tansey Draper Doran Christie Watkins Mckay Subs - Esson, Devine, Tremarco, Vincent, Ross, Williams, Polworth * If Raven is out, Shinnie into right back and Tremarco into left back, with Cooper or Pepper coming onto the bench.
  10. I heard ages ago that Hughes wanted to re-sign Pepper and Greenhalgh. Never heard about it again though. I'm sure Greenhalgh has the option of a second year in his contract as well.

Finished ahead of Ross County I see! The Highlands are ours! The Highlands are ou-rr-rrs! In the U20 League The Highlands are ours!
  12. Who are you 'playing' for now? Noone you sad obsessed geek. That's what I thought Good luck in Hong Kong!
  13. Well it's evident that some people on here have absolutely no style at all! I've come up with some more smashing efforts for you all to have a look at!
  14. What about some of these crackers?! The middle one's pretty snazzy IMO!
  15. Here's another striped design - Red/Blue Reverse -
  16. I wouldn't be adverse to switching between hoops and stripes as a bit of variety. I'm sure St Mirren used to do this and Partick have jazzed up their's as well over the years.
  17. Here's a hooped version - Here's a blue/red reverse - Here's a red/blue reverse of the striped one I put up earlier -
  18. I'm sure I was at a Highland Derby in Dingwall just after 9/11 where we wore orange and got beat 2-1. Bobby Mann was sent off IIRC.
  19. Hello new shirt?

I'm not even sure we would've gotten to the final! Butcher's teams seem to have a real habit of blowing important matches and I doubt that semi-final would've been any different!

  22. I heard somewhere that he's involved with the oil rigs now (plumbing on them I presume) and gets more money doing that and playing for Peterhead than he was offered from Premiership clubs a while back.
  23. Evans will probably be offered a new deal I'd have thought. Hughes says he rated him a while back and the fact that he's getting on the bench ahead of the likes of Ferguson (put out on loan and given a new deal), suggests he'd like him to stick around. Hope so too, he's a good player. I'd like to see Ben Greenhalgh stay as well. There's something that him that I think with another year could see him turn into a right good player.
  24. Who are you 'playing' for now?
