There's still a top six place to play for.... At the start of the season lots were calling for Dods to be dropped as he had made it clear he wanted to move on by the end of this season.... IMO he's made quite a few eat their words with the comittment he has given us....

I agree totally with Harry & Scotty here.... an inspirational captain can be worth his weight in gold to any team... When I was growing up in the Glasgow area guys like John Greig (Rangers) and Billy McNeil (Celtic) were absolute legends.... God help you if weren't pulling your weight in the team when these guys were around.... Willie Miller at Aberdeen, a mere 20 odd years ago! was also a fantastic skipper..(and even a pretty good assistant referree!) I'm not entirely convinced there is a natural successor to Darren Dods in our squad at the moment... I hope there is some truth in IHE's suggestion (for once!) that it is CC's intention to bring a quality defender of proven ability to ICT.....

I haven't seen enough of Caff to make an honest decision on this but..... When Dods goes we're not just losing a good guy and a pretty decent defender, we're losing a guy that's never given us less than 100% and has become an obvious choice for the captain's armband.... I can't think of anyone else leaving who would be more sorely missed.

Jordan was a great player but doesn't have a good managerial track record. For me Big Eck would be the best choice - he always gave 100% as a Scottish player, and would be every bit as comitted as team manager..... :022:

According to Scotland on Sunday, both sets of supporters gave Brewster a sympathetic round of applause when he had to go off..... As Rig says loosing a goal with the last kick of the ball makes it feel like a defeat....but a 1-1 draw wasn't such a bad result. Of course no one is happy about what has happened, but David Taylor and his cronies at the SFA must take some responsibility for the fact Walter obviously wasn't happy with the terms and conditions of his employment... Walter should also be given some credit for leaving the Scotland side with a wee bit of a belief in themselves.... It won't take Tommy Burns long to feck it all up....

Strange choice of club for the lad given all the uncertainty going at Tykecastle... Reading on that same link they have signed a Lithuanian keeper... don't look too promising for Scotland's Nr 1..... Would 30k have been outwith ICT's budget?
