  1. Yeah, but it sounds like the resurgence in our recent form is being maintained... I believe Dundee were a bit shaky today and lucky to get 1 point. Two games in hand over them. Long way to go yet!
  2. It is an amazing league this.... I'm beginning to see and understand why some would be quite happy for us to stay here.
  3. Well done Rooney.... Heads might have gone down if he'd missed.
  4. I'm worried that we will lose much more than team identity in the months that lie ahead. The inability of the club's board to communicate with the management, the players, the staff and of course least of all, the supporters is not only unacceptable - it is an obscenity. There are so many unanswered questions regarding the future of ICT.... Just how long do the chairman and board intend to continue with their wall of silence?
  5. This was one of my favourites....
  6. It'd be great if Stennymuir won the replay!

Interesting comment there, Ren?e.... Do you think the Imries, the McAllisters, the Frasers, the Eagles, the Barrowmans, etc, etc, etc, could have diffused some of these potentially nasty situations by merely smiling and waving at their tormentors?
  8. I used to think the widespread use of mobile phone text messages was having a detrimental effect on the English language, and general spelling standards. Apparently it's not - in fact the converse is probably true. See here.... It's offishyal
  9. If I could just translate a little of that, I would point out that this game is also live on Sky Channel 143, in glowing high definition, for anyone who might be suitably equipped.
  10. Even if the gift horse speaks in an almost unintelligible Dundonian accent and is offering nothing more exciting than Motherwell v St Mirren?
  11. TB and MM are still of course, under contract at ICT, however if Motherwell were to come up with a substanial compensation offer, I have a feeling the board might be prepared to consider it. TB and MM are probably about the hottest management team in Scotland at the moment... As the two Jimmies will soon find out to their cost!
  12. Bill McLaren was in a different class from Eddie Waring. I just lived for televised rugby when he was commentating on the old Five Nations. I virtually lost all interest in RU when he hung up his mike. Very sad news indeed.
  13. In some circles a player's ability to fill a variety of different roles, in a variety of different positions would be described as versatility. Here at Inverness Caledonian Thistle it's known as economy. :(

After last night's performance I sincerely hope he stays put. He virtually won the game for us - not just with his superb goal - his effort and commitment could not be faulted and clearly inspired the whole team. He may have an arrogant streak that hasn't endeared him to our entire support, but he's the kind of guy that wins you things. I would even go so far as to suggest if he stays here, he could and should be a future captain of ICT.
  15. So that gives us Mothersmell - St Midden on Saturday lunchtime. I'm positively drooling at the thought of that one....
  16. An unfortunate experience for BigT Fan... There was a cash turnstile in operation at the right hand end of the main stand, but presumably unable to accept concessions.
  17. Imrie Esso Bulvitis
  18. So how come I got this in an email from Emma a few days ago?
  19. I haven't seen Craig Brown look so p1ssed off since the night the Faroe Isles held Scotland to a 1-1 draw....
  20. I wouldn't trust him to stir his tea with his left foot.
  21. Yeap, roll on Killie... More often than not a happy hunting ground for us.... Even a draw here would do us nicely, with a comfortable home win in the replay. I've got a sneaky feeling our name could be on the Scottish Cup this year...
  22. Don't often agree with Kingsmills but he's spot on with that comment. We'll probably be back to normal by the weekend.
  23. This was a very comfortable win for us tonight - we looked more like an SPL side than Motherwell. The enigma that is Dougie Imrie played out of his skin tonight and was certainly my MOM. And there was even pies on the menu!!!!! Maybe not the hottest one I ever had, but very welcome along with good piping hot coffee.
  24. He's an experienced pro, and should surely be capable of playing in more than one position. Having said that I wouldn't want to see him at CB again, after the Falkirk debacle that got us relegated. He did ok tonight at LB.
  25. All we have to do is win our next four games in this competition, and we'll be in Europe next season...
