Given our present financial constraints can we afford to offer him a coaching role just now? I agree that (like Charlie) he has always been an excellent ambassador for ICT, and could very well have a positive influence on our younger players, but.... Is he any more likely to succeed at manager level than CC? I would be inclined to pass on offering him a post right at this moment, but I suspect there will be changes in our managerial/coaching set up for the start of 2010/2011 season. Perhaps he could be offered a position at that time.

I remember a story doing the rounds at the time of that execution..... When Ceausescu and his wife(Elena) were dragged out to face the firing squad, she starts screaming abuse at them, calling them murderous barstards, etc, only to be interupted by her husband who told her to shut up, and that she'd only make matters worse!

Vat is a huge tax - a massive tax, a huge source of revenue.... You can't take that away and replace it with a small tax on those earning above a certain amount. It just wouldn't add up.

I'm forever telling my veggie friends that the meat in the pies isn't real meat. It comes from ground down tails, skin, hair, teeth, eyes.. These are all things our little piggy friends can live without....

Talking about firing squads, what would you suggest would be a suitable punishment for Tony Blair, who took this country into an illegal war with Iraq, having lied to Parliament and his government about the existence of WMD? The politicians in this country have now become virtually synonymous with lies, greed, corruption and fraud on an unimaginable scale. Just look at all the expenses fiddles, cash for peerages, paying themselves obscene salaries, etc, etc, etc... These people are the absolute pits - they are the very dregs of our society.... As Billy Connolly once said : "Don't vote for them, it just encourages them" He was right - get rid of the whole fecking lot of this blight on our society. Democracy? Feck off....

9 points from our next 3 games isn't an unrealistic target... Duff has obviously been signed to give the squad a wee bit more depth, and TB should be applauded bringing him here. Hopefully there are more signings in the pipeline.
