  1. We've had a couple of home games against Aberdeen on Setanta. 1-1 on a Monday night two seasons ago when Graham Bayne scored a diving header and a 2-1 defeat when Dennis scored his 100th goal. Not sure if there are any others.
  2. Is this a serious option? I think that Grant needs to be replaced in the long term - he's had a shocking season both defensively and in terms of his passing. But Rosscoe? I can't comment having never seen him play centre-half. Was he so convincing yesterday?
  3. All but Hamilton for me too. As horrible as this season has been, it is good to have competitive games post-split for the first time.
  4. Scotrail If you're coming from sneck by public transport then all of the remaining away games involve changing in Glasgow.
  5. This is a bit clearer in the BBC interview. When Butcher talks about patience, i think he means patiently waiting for the right time to pump the ball into the box rather than patiently passing ball through the midfield. This week and last week he mentioned the poor quality of rushed long balls. I think he's referring to Granty, possibly Lionel as well.
  6. I can't wait. That game is huge. Not sure about pints in Feegie Park though. I've heard the new ground is just a brisk 10 minute walk from the Wee Barrel.
  7. Saturday, 02 May St Mirren v Inverness CT, 15:00 Sunday, 10 May Inverness CT v Hamilton, 14:00 Wednesday, 13 May Motherwell v Inverness CT, 19:45 Saturday, 16 May Kilmarnock v Inverness CT, 15:00 Saturday, May 23 Inverness CT v Falkirk, 12.30
  8. Post-split Fixtures
  9. As the fixtures come out, i'm starting to get very nervous. Look at the next round of fixtures. We're away to St.Mirren while Flakirk entertain Motherwell. We could easily find ourselves 1 point from bottom at the end of play.
  10. We're away to St.Mirren in a fortnight and home to Falkirk on the last day........
  11. Don't deny it Don - they despise us all. They want us to be relegated to punish us. That's why they refuse to listen to Renegade and insist that Jimmy-Jabi plays up front with Esson at left-back.
  12. It sounded like the inroduction of a pantomime badie. I calf expected some to shout - he's behind you! Seriously though, even listening to radio you can hear an improvement in the announcing.
  13. Midfielder form the U-19's. Don't remeber seeing him on the bench before. Vigurs must be a bit put out.
  14. 4-4-2 with Tokely at centre-half, Duncan in right midfield and Foran on the left. CC was saying that he'd never seen Duncan in right midfield? When he first came to the club he played (badly) at right-back a few times. Does anyone remember him playing on the right side of midfield? Does anyone remember seeing Rosscoe play centre-half?
  15. Pavels is out injured. Duncan in for him is the only change from last week. So who plays centre-half?
  16. Bold signifies gross understatement. The first of these is about pace. He's not just slow but he refuses to run channels and put pressure on defenders. This is an essential requirement for almost any SPL striker. Even the Old Firm refuse to carry penalty-box lurkers in big games. The out-and-out striker is dying breed. The second point concerns Barrowman in the air. He's unbelievably crap in the air. He doesn't even challenge for the long balls and never looks a threat a set-pieces. The guy must be at least six feet tall. I cannot understand how a striker of that size has developed in British football without learning or at least trying to be a threat in the air. Understatement number three is the use of the word 'furious' to describe your response to his work-rate at Tynie in September. Surely something stronger is needed to describe the 5 hour rant that followed that game. I really hope he proves me completely wrong by scoring a hat-trick tomorrow.
  17. I think Niculae was our worst ever signing. Regardless of what people think about him as a player, a lot of the recent problems that the club have had can be traced back to that signing. Charlie's resignation, dressing room unrest, boardroom power struggles. We gave away 12% of the club to sign the guy for feck sake!
  18. You do look quite old for 31 though Richard.
  19. Robbo in the Sun
  20. Kilmarnock St. Mirren ICT Hamilton Falkirk
  21. I'm not too nervous. We're picking up plenty of points even without playing that well. Falkirk and Hamilton are the teams going into the split in poor form and without much confidence. I saw enough from St. Mirren tonight to think that they will be safe and Killie should be fine now that Kyle's hit form. We have a team that's set-up to scrap for everything and that should stand us in good stead for this relegation fight.
  22. He's white, He's blue, He doesn't have a clue. I remember singing that in the Jail End just before Smart smacked the ball into the top corner. He was still a **** though.
  23. Agree with that.
  24. St. Mirren have been very good. Passed the ball really well, most attacks coming down the right through Ross and Dorman. Brilliant goal from Dorman. Can't believe Hibs managed to equalise with what was their first chance of the game. Well taken by Fletcher who looks far too good for this league.
  25. What percentage of Gaelic is actually Gaelic? What percentage of English is actually English? Garrison sounds French to me.
