Our players are smarter than theirs. Our players will be wanted men, who will be wanting County's players? If they signed longer contracts they will be more difficult to move on, and then they would be tied to us on cheapskate contracts playing for peanuts. The players and their agents will be trying to get the most suitable deals for themselves. The likes of Foran, Hayes, Cox etc will find clubs more willing to offer them better wages without having to buy out any contract. Rooney, although being the star striker, will have to be bought. "Do I honestly think.......". Not really, but I am also not making the assumption that it is all the clubs fault. Blame that Bosman fellow, it's all his fault.

Why is it that everybody blames the club for not dishing out bigger contracts. Some of the players/agents might have said no to longer contracts. Short term contracts to see how it all pans out was maybe the way to go. Players will come and go all the time, and there is not a jot we can do to stop it. It is irritating, but as sure as bears will sh**e in the woods, then players will come and go.

It helps if you take a couple of drams to calm yer nerves first. By the way, don't try this at home children.

It was definitely a car backfiring due to an electrical hitch as it parked inside the turnstile. Always happens to me when I an trying to park in the turnstiles. When you hear the shots it's like a bird scaring machine............what a great idea, a machine that scares the birds away from football matches. That's definitely what it was I think.

But they are only good value if they win the league, a waste of money if they don't.

I think rig touched on this a week or two back...........but wtf. I reckon we are now officially the worst in the United Kingdom at taking throw ins. In fact last night we even managed a throw out, yes a throw out. Golly when not finding Airdrie players direct with five yard throw ins, actually managed to throw the ball direct out of play from the throw in, so it's a throw out, and it almost made me throw up. We seem to have binned or banned the long throw, which seems strange. We persevered with that tactic for too long, but surely it is worth a pot now and then, just to sort of break up the monotony of giving the ball back to the opposition at every throw in. We waited for a minute or two for Golly to arrive on the scene, and when he did, he dithered over his choice of which Airdrie player to throw the ball to, or which line to throw the ball over. Surely taking a throw in is not that difficult, I took one once when I was a lad and it worked, you know, feet together, on the ground, ball behind the head and then toss it to someone wearing the same coloured shirt, easy peasy lemon squeezy. So, to sum up Terry..............sort it out, lets find our own players with our own throw ins please. thats all.

Liar liar, yer bums on fire......

He should do us all a favour then and not bother. Sounds as though they got him from a cemetery.

A bit unkind some of the comments regarding Dani. Yes he missed half a dozen chances but he also played reasonably well. I too was willing him to score, just to get the long term monkey off his back, he did everything else bar score, hitting the woodwork twice, forcing the keeper to make some fabulous stops and screwing shots wide. It's just as well that it never mattered. However, he is a proper ball player, somebody who you can normally rely on to make things happen. I don't think anybody played badly, even Esson standing firm when Airdrie kept trying to score, how irritating was that. Well done to Grant Munro, he pinged some long balls towards Rooney who was running the channels brilliantly and his lack of pace seems to be in the mind only. Back to Grant though, some of his long passes were inch perfect, Rooney would signal the run, Grant would invariably find him, and he even had time to pop up in the box and scored a strikers goal, snapping up the volley from ten yards and finishing with applomb. As I said earlier, difficult to spot any failures, but picking on wee Dani is unjustified. Stand up Richie Foran. His intentions were clear from the off. Running hard at the defence and setting up others. An acrobatic overhead kick from the right edge of the eighteen yard line, set up the opener, it had enough power and accuracy to cause problems in the six yard box and Rooney took full advantage to eventually bundle the ball over the line from one inch. The second was a sweeping move from the back, and when Foran got the ball some twenty yards out he entered the left side of the box and his low drive at the keepers near post stunned Robertson. Grant as said struck the third sweetly and Jonny with his bog standard cut inside and finish rounded it off. He also had two or three other efforts blocked/saved and whistled one thirty-five yarder just over the bar. Only Ryan Esson never got into the Airdrie box and that was as emphatic a win as we have had all season at home The only downside was the other chances we squandered, but a 4-0 win is pleasing on the eye. Easy to pick MoM, but not so easy to find a second and third as they all did a job tonight.

Failure to beat a ten man Queenies whose manager they have just poached in a bid to see them over the finishing line is just not the stuff of champions. Thats 3 draws and a defeat to Queens this season.........oh dear. Bring back Jocky.

Congratulations to the gudgies. Thats another spl scalp for the Highlands and shows that they are a difficult side to beat on their own patch.
