  1. Ach he'll probably get smack on the wrist and told not to do it again.
  2. The whole community should be grateful to IHE, for his perseverance in steering the Niculae hearing in the right direction and highlighting the deprivation within this area that exists in our neighbourhood. Immortal is insufficient for this Howden Ender, he has managed single handed to enable Marius to take his place alongside footballing greats like Rory and Roscoe and we are indebted to this humble, shy, retiring, and unselfish superhuman for giving us the chance to watch him grace the stage at TCS. I feel a knighthood will be in the New Years honours list and look forward to the day when we can go to the Queens garden to show our appreciation of this giant within our ranks. I say erect the statue now, I have a vision of IHE kilted and standing, staring onto the pitch, his flowing locks rippling in the breeze, a double voddie and coke from Marius in his right hand, his left hand saluting another goal and the smile on his face, a face battle hardened through years of alcohol abuse with crows feet protruding from the corner of his eyes and teeth like rows of Glesga tenements a voice to die for and all five foot three of him built like a brick shithouse. His beer stained sweatshirt with the words HMS Sneck barely visible beneath his carryout, bulging with pride. His wee, kind and benevolent heart pumping, the adrenalin and endorphins pulsating through his power packed Adonis like Charles Atlas physique..........wow, what a guy. John Smeaton eat your heart out, your turn will come one day, until then like the rest of us stand and admire this enigma, this puzzle of life and gape in awe at what we all strive to be................perfect. :allhail:
  3. Alex, mine is the team, not a squad, and they won't be getting a game therefore no point in showing them :blah01:
  4. Not sure if I can get a work permit for this one :029:
  5. Half fit players would be an improvement on the embarassment that turned up last Saturday. I think he may come off the bench though with maybe Bayne if fit starting with Macdonald. Back five pick themselves unfortunately. Burt controversy is never far away. The midfield need some injection of pace, passion, skill and belief. Maybe start with Bazza ----Hart----Black----Patti, Rankin was useless on Saturday as was McBain. I'll give Barry the benefit of the doubt that it was his off day, maybe the occasion got to him. Zander though should be looking to feature at some point, after the hour markand Russeldinho should be there or thereabout. What does that mean in terms of the line up............look no further Charlie, here it is:- fraser Rosscoe Caff Munro Morgan Bazza Hart Black Paatti Macdonald Bayners Marcus Zander Russeldinho Hastings these are the most likely to feature later in the game
  6. Heres what he had to say from the official site if ye cannae access it:- NICULAE WORK PERMIT GRANTED Marius Niculae, 28 times capped by Romania, has been told by an SFA tribunal that he is clear to play for Inverness Caledonian Thistle with immediate effect. The good news came today after a one-hour hearing at Hampden Stadium at which Marius himself answered questions and stressed his reason for coming to Scotland and Inverness is to win back his international place. The tribunal featured former Scotland internationals Ray Stewart, Pat Nevin and Peter Cormack plus Fraser Wishart of footballers union FIFPRO and two officials from the Home Office. Chairman Alan Savage said:"We felt we had a very good hearing but were told to go away and a decision would be notified within two hours. That was a very nail-biting period as we waited on the outcome. "But all our efforts have been worthwhile and Marius can be available for the Motherwell game on Saturday if selected. "Manager Charlie Christie spoke very well as we outlined the club's case that this was a player of proven quality who we could not source in Scotland. I felt Marius made a favourable impression, with his good command of English and his emphasis that he did not see Inverness as a short-term destination but one in which he could play well enough to wear Romania's colours again." Marius commented:"It was very nerve wracking but I'm thrilled to get the green light. I can now concentrate on doing my best for the club. I'm very grateful to all the supporters who have backed me. I hope to repay them with goals for Caley Thistle."
  7. Heres another one aimed at the red tape You can stick yer work permit up yer erse You can stick yer work permit up yer erse Oh you can stick yer work permit....stick yer work permit Stick yer work permit up yer erse.....UP YER ERSE
  8. Some light at the end of the tunnel after all. Lets hope he lives up to the billing as he will be under more scrutiny now after this hassle.
  9. From official site FORT WILLIAM 2- ICT 2 It was a young ICT which took to the A82 for the long trip to face Fort William in the second District 1 Group match in the North of Scotland Cup and despite leading 2-0 they only came back with a point. After defeating Clachnacuddin 4-1 last week and appearing to be in cruise control and easing ourselves into the semi-finals last night the Claggan Park side staged a spirited fight back and now they have an opportunity go through to the next stage depending on whether they can produce a comfortable win over Clach next week. We took the lead in only 14 minutes, midfielder Iain Vigurs delivered a back post ball into the box from the left and Ian Penwright was on hand to head home from six yards. With half an hour on the clock we extended our lead to two, Ally MacDonald surged forward from left back and from his driven ball into the box Jake Inglis slid in to finish from six yards. Five minutes later Fort William pulled a goal back when a corner kick from Duncan was spilled by goalkeeper Andy Watt and MacLean reacted quickly to fire an effort towards goal which Ryan Haggerty helped on. A Fort William equaliser wasn't long in coming after the break and a long ball over the top of our young defence put Hewitt clear on Watt and he calmly slotted away the ball. Full time score: Fort William 2 - ICT 2 ICT Team Watt Scott-Woodhouse, Williamson, Kerr, A.MacDonald Gillespie, Inglis, Vigurs Leslie, Penwright, Morrison Subs: Ward for Williamson (46 mins), Cromar for Morrison (46 mins), Horne, Duff
  10. After last week, the words have changed slightly We like those short goals, we like those long goals We like those high goals, we like those low goals We like those kicked goals, we like those headed goals we like scoring those little bitty extra time goals UNFORTUNATELY............ :029: They scored all the goals, they scored all the goals They scored all the goals, they scored all the goals They scored all the goals, they scored all the goals They scored all the goals, they scored all the goals
  11. Sunderland going to shell out ?9,000,000 today for Gordon. Waste of money if you ask me, but nobody did.
  12. I agree 1-3, I don't go along with all this tosh that Gers were not much better than us. Yes we were poor for some reason, but they were streets ahead of us. All this drivel that Rangers are a poor side is nonsense. Lets be honest, they will either win the league or finish second. We were humped and need to regroup for the must win games against teams in our situation, which is practically the rest of the league. Hibs looked decent the other night and they seem to have found a keeper as well, all six foot seven of him. We simply don't have the buying power or the attraction that other teams do so we will have to work with the tools we have. Our season will be judged on games against Motherwells Paisley Gretna and Falkirk, anything more will be a bonus.
  13. Therein lies a reply from a solicitor...................extremely well put Colin.................you think he is shite. :029:

    Big Bobby Mann

At last some positive news, bring back Bobby, he knows how to organise a defence.
  16. Portsmouth Unfortunately, I was born near Pompey, Gosport in fact, and as a young loon visited relations in Portsmouth a few times. But I am better now, I was only there for a few weeks before being smuggled North to Grantown. My Highland league team was Clach, bottom of the league just about, but rose to Champions in 74. The Charlie Kennedy Ray Mackintosh era brought a plethora of goals and in the Scottish cup thereabouts the great South hopes Gala Fairydean came North boasting that the Highlanders would be subdued, not so, Clach humped them something like seven or eight one. Barcelona appeal to me as well, mainly for their style of play and great players they have had over the years. Grantown United, few lads from the pub formed them, we lost more than we won.....well we lost them all, but it was fun :029:
  17. I didn't think there was too much in the first tackle. It's a game for big boys. Not look too bad on tv.
  18. I have paid another ?100 to have my name removed from the new away shirt. I don't want to be assosciated with a team that performs so poorly and wilts at the sight of the old firm.
  19. comment 2 2. watch rory going for a high ball he never looks at the ball but instead watches the defenders position then trys to pick up the scraps, just watch next time you see him play or once again watch the replay Spot on cccccccc He never watches the ball, and pretends to jump late making out the defender was too good, not good enough I'm afraid.
  20. The criticism of the team yesterday is fully justified, they were a disgrace. It was clear from the start that the TV pundits got it spot on, we were going to punt the ball at every opportunity and that is exactly what we did. Using Wyness as a target man is no use, he simply is not that kind of player, he needs the ball played to him below neck height then he will do the rest. Playing Rory as the other target man :rotflmao: Well he does not even look at the ball when it comes near him, he is too busy looking at the defender and his attempts to get off the ground are a joke. In fact playing Rory at all was the wrong thing to do. No holding midfielder, where was Duncan misplaced passes and all. The invisible man was, well, invisible. Bazza might as well have been invisible he was certainly not influential. The defence were all at sea, noticeable from the start. Where is our big stopper?? Fraser was the only one to get passmarks from me. Not really the game we wanted to start the season wit, playing one of the old firm means no points for most teams, so lets hope we regroup for the lesser teams, for thats where our season will be one won or lost, against the St Mirrens Motherwells and Gretna's.

  22. Setanta viewing for me today. It's all been said before, no need or me to stick the knife in further, but yes Rory did not earn his wages today.
