Hey Rich Everythings good...............well apart from the bit about free drink, but you are welcome to buy us all a large one. I like this man already, the pre match nerves, yep thats what Saturdays are for. :sillywave:

Cowie has certainly been impressive since joining the big team. Agree about Royster IHE, my opinion is that he has performed better than Hastings in the left wingback slot. Mr Hastings may struggle to get his position back.

Looks like they are better at counting in Wick****************from the wick webby report ICT young guns marched into the final of the ITP NOS Cup with a 2-0 defeat of Academy tonight. An own-goal by Bryan McKiddie and a strike from man of the match Ian Vugurs directly after half-time was good enough to take them into the final. Academy did have several chances to pull back into the game, but couldn?t convert them. The Scories first chance of the game came with 10 minutes played. Macadie made good ground up the wing and fired in a dangerous cross ball. Henstridge out-jumped the Caley defence but the ball just shaved off the top of his head. A minute later Shearer tried a pop at goal from 28 yards but his attempt went just wide of the right post. Just after the 14 hour Academy created another chance. Shearer played Macadie into the Caley box and he squared the ball across goal but no-one was there to capitalise. Caley?s goal came in the 20th minute. Gillespie drove into the Academy box and Neil Traill did well to track him and turn his shot at goal out for a corner-kick. The resulting corner was fired into the box and Duff eventually got his head to it. His attempt beat James and McKiddie headed into his own net for an own-goal whilst attempting to clear his lines. 0 ? 1 2 minutes later and More was called into action as he had an acrobatic save to tip a strike from McAllister around the post. Academy kept plugging away and Manson provided another good pass for Shearer who got another attempt on the Caley goal, but McNulty was again on hand to make the save. 38 minutes in Neil Traill was taken off with an injury and replaced by Shaun Sinclair. A minute after the substitution McKiddie was flattened at the edge of the Caley box and referee Bicknell awarded a free-kick. Farquhar took it and McNulty split the ball whilst collecting at the back post. This resulted in a scramble between him and Manson for the ball, with the keeper eventually recovering to snuff out the threat. 3 minutes before the break and More again denied McAllister with another diving save tipped around the post. Half Time 0 ? 1 Less than a minute after the restart former Academy starlet Shane Sutherland stormed up the left wing and delivered a perfect cross into the Academy box straight into the path of Iain Vugurs and he hammered the ball home past a helpless More. 0 ? 2 Great play in the 51st minute between Duff and Gillespie played Gillespie in one-on-one with More, but James did well to save his shot. Sutherland then showed what he was all about with a great turn and shot from the edge of the Academy box that went just over the top of Mores cross-bar. Just before the hour Hughes and Munro introduced Weir for Henstridge. With 57 minutes played More again denied McAllister as he had yet another diving save to shut-out his free-kick attempt. On the hour mark Academy went 3 at the back and pulled McKiddie into midfield in an attempt to take something back out of the game and shortly after the switch a recovery goal was almost carved-out. Manson took a free-kick 30 yards from goal rolling it Farquhar who played in Weir but he hit his shot directly at keeper McNulty. McAllister must have been sick of the sight of More as he once again found himself in on goal. More came to close him down and put him off enough to make him screw his shot wide of target. With around 20 minutes of the game remaining club captain Martin Gunn (returning from injury) made his first competitive appearance of the season, coming on for Farquhar, and almost scored with his first touch of the ball. Weir ran at the heart of the Caley defence and slit a great pass to Gunn who hit it first time on the run but it went agonisingly just past McNulty?s left hand post. Academy kept plugging away and McKiddie played Manson through the middle and McNulty just beat him in the race to the ball. With time running out for the Scorries Macadie spotted keeper McNulty off his line and tried to chip him from all of 40 yards but his attempt went just wide of goal. Academy?s final attack saw Weir again burst through the middle of the Caley defence before passing to Gunn but he screwed his shot wide of target from 14 yards out.

I think he will do exactly what it says on the tin He is a utility squad player and that is what he will be, we need cover at the back and he can provide cover. If I base my judgement on that, he will be a success, if I base my judgement on whether he plays in the first team every week and scores a bucketful of goals every season, then probably not a success, so it really depends on what your expectations are of him. In my estimation, he will succeed at the job he was bought for.

Apologies for my earlier comment, I retract the tongue in cheek comment I made. I made this comment as a result of an incident earlier this year when my son was hit above the eye with a full bottle of Baileys and came within a centimetre of being seriously injured. Fortunately the bottle did not break and he has now recovered but his forehead and eye were severely swollen/bruised and there is still a mark on his head some six months later. This unprovoked attack was carried out by a then 17 year old girl, who has been courting trouble for a number of years through drink/drugs. She has been in court on numerous occasions for various acts of violence etc and is still free to cause trouble every weekend. This person got probation for this assault, despite her solicitor doing his best to tell a pack of lies in her defence. Since then, the same person has been back in court and I believe the latest one she was given curfews/community service. Still, maybe it's just me who feels that some kids will never learn and some of them need something a little different as a deterrent. Maybe the new on the spot fines will have an effect on the issues, who knows. However, my comment was not meant to belittle a very serious issue, which was rightly pointed out by Mr IHE, and as also pointed out, no one is beyond reproach, not even me. Therefore I will accept my six lashings of the birch for my mistimed quote. I had already PM'd maimie to apologise for the quote, but I will not remove it yet, as it makes my second post seem odd and misplaced. I am also aware that childrens panels deal with lots of varying degrees of issues and is a very worthwhile cause, good luck in achieving your goals.

What it does do is make my report appear biased towards ICT and rubbish it. Yes my report was only about ICT plays, but it also told the story of our superiority, in all but goals, the online watch shows little of our creativity and dominance and makes Hibs look as if they thoroughly deserved to beat us. :sillywave: hello BBC

You just need to learn when people are winding you up. I did say I agreed with a fair bit of that, but the inference was that Dargo would have done better than Marius and I said he was only toying with them, he is class and will come good. No blinkers here old git, only saying what I see. back at you :008: :008:

George Michael Just watch yourself in the bogs. Disgusting geek, turn the radio off when his songs come on.
-
I'm not working for that :010:

I agree with clacher, great opportunity to start the rot and get us off and running. Buoyed by our good performances in the last two games this is the chance to kick Gretna while they are still down, lose this one and I will start to worry. <<looks over his shoulder smiley>>

staying up will always be our priority anything more is just a bonus.

does anyone else eat things they would not normally eat after a night out I mean thingy's like.................opening a jar of beetroot (sweet vinegar of course) and scoffing the first five or six you can stab to death. Anyway, I am way above that and am off to eat some leftover cabbage...
-
FoF?????????????????????????? I can't work out if you were at the game today, enlighten me. mee......... the bottles all mine, are you watching the tennis???
-
either or, they were all involved in the build up, in fact, did you not pass the ball to Govan Jaggie, it was then headed onwards to Mr & Mrs Pauli Bee then Kind of Blue sort of back heeled it into the box........not sure though, I might have got it wrong.............
-
youv'e got the hippy hippy shake

Well said big D, the keeper was bedecked in a banana like strip and the comment I thought was in good humour. Who would have thought a six foot seven inch banana would ever play in goals for Hibs :dancing01: :dancing01: correct davedargo, he does only have one eye..........or i..............but we should be above the one brain cell required to find a decent song
-
Agree the squad for today was right, but I think Deano has something to offer us, hopefully some goals.
-
I agree D, nothing worse than back seat drivers Stop the bithing and go and watch your so called team playing, you know you like it, and once again the Hibs game provided us with the best entertainment yet. Brew & Nic played well together, I did not see any of this.....give me the ball shite, they played brilliantly together as a team and were unfortunate on a number of accasions. get real and stop this incessant mindless and **** stirring attacks
-
Agree with a fair bit of that, but excuse me, Mr Marius is class. Yes he did not score the penalty today but, that is just a smoke screen, he will explode at Parkheid, trust me.
-
I take it they were referring to the chant of He's only got one eye................(or i) :029: He's only got one eye <repeat until someone punches you in the gob>
-
We were a class above Hibs today, no failures for us, an absolutely great performance and I for one am proud of the whole team. Rosscoe or Brew for MoM. McBain also as noted above was superb, in fact they were all superb, even Rory who looked like he wanted to......................steady jobby. penalty.............I don't know, I was still trying to eat my pie. Our one, keeper dived left, Marius hit it down the middle, hitting the keepers long legs..............well, he is about eleven feet long. Pity, because we overran Hibs at times and the goal would have set us on the way to a victory. Hibs were reduced to sporadic forays, trying to hit on the break, a ploy we used successfully in previous years, but this year we were the masters, in all but goals. We looked better than Brazil and I don't mean Alan. Brew and Marius flicking their way past the Hibs defence, we tore them to shreds on numerous occasions alas to no gain. Hugely entertaining game and we deserved a lot more than we got from it. One move in the first half involved all the players, CaleyD, the tea lady and two stewards, but Marius screwed the shot under pressure just wide. To sum up, we were fekkin brilliant and those that knock the team constantly, get off yer arse and watch the real ICT, for this was just the start of the Brew revolution. And it was a pleasure for you to meet me KoB

Well, a Hibee supporter approached me after the game as we walked back to our minibus and was rather irate. He said "that was out of order that song I was singing", I said I was not singing, and what was he referring to, he said"the song about Dean Shiels, it's a disgrace, worse than the old firm, they get slammed for biggotry but that was out of order, a fekkin disgrace, we should be ashamed of these fans" I agree, we don't need to stoop that low, it may have a hint of humour, but it is not my cup of tea. Please stop this inappropriate chant, we are better than this.
