  1. A few points Who are the 23 grim reapers viewing as guests at present? Strange how Celtic didn't go for Langfield And finally, it goes someway to explaining why Charlie was absolutely distraught at yesterday's press conference saying 'Grassa will answer questions about player movements, I'll deal with the football'
  2. If Dods does sign for United it is for family reasons, not football. He does not want to leave Inverness for any other reason.
  3. Last night Levein indicated the pre contract was not in writing and that Charlie had leaked the fact they were in discussions. Wouldn't it be great if we offered Darren a better offer and he turned the Grocer down.
  4. Mark Brown as a contractual add on.
  5. Guys like Keegan and Dalgleish knew when to stop. However, I still think Brewster can play a big role in a team. I remember seeing John Charles playing for Merthyr at a similar age but in Brewsters case he is much fitter and stonger. I think he came back too early. At the moment he is trying to figure out what to do in life because he feels very rejected as a Manager and therefore playing is probably for his own sanity. He was probably too eager yesterday to make a point but remember Denzil copped the same injury and no one suggested he stop playing.
  6. Darren Dods has genuine family reasons for this move and should be supported wholeheatedly. We should keep him until the end of the season because he is an immense player for us in that position and Stuart does not have the strength or style for the role he has played.
  7. Time to do it - Brewster will lie in wait to get his revenge. However, this is a critical time for ICT and I believe we have the workrate and skill to gain a 'home' win without paying the rent. Aberdeen are desperate to win the Cup and probably think their name is on it. I have already quoted Willie Miller on Grampian as was saying 'we know we play Gretna at home in the next round.' Will Killen's injury and the transfer issues at Hibs and an even dodgier goal keeping situation than Langfield Aberdeen will feel they got off the hook last Wednesday and are now marching to Hampden. They probably feel a restructured Rangers and a stable Hearts are more likely to snatch the Champions League spot. Time to test it. Bayne's turn to score again and Denzil to continue with his left leg goals. Brewster to reply before being sent off.
  8. Willie Miller announced on North Tonight that they knew they had a home tie in the next round of the Cup.
  9. Willie Miller on North Tonight indicated he knew they were at home to Gretna in the next round of the Cup - is that not confidence?
  10. Ymip, ICT were on high alert for cash sales : DODGY SAINTS FANS RED-CARDED OVER FAKE CASH SCAMJan 9 2007 'SHIFTY St Mirren ‘supporters’ have been shown the red card for using fake bank notes to con other SPL clubs out of cash. The crooked football fans have been handing over the dodgy money to get in to away matches and buy food and drink at catering kiosks. Now loyal Buddies have slammed the con artists and told them they are in danger of damaging the Love Street club’s good name. St Mirren chiefs had already warned supporters that their staff would be on the lookout for any forgeries after fake £20 notes were handed over during last month’s SPL visit to Kilmarnock. But the Saints-turned-sinners were at it again during the Buddies’ SPL match at Inverness Caledonian Thistle on New Year’s Day. One disgusted member of the travelling support has told how she could hardly believe her eyes as she watched a fellow fan try to con a worker at one of Caley’s food kiosks. Carol Parker was queuing for a coffee when the young supporter in front of her accused the kiosk worker of giving him a fake £5 note in his change. The 25-year-old, from Johnstone, said: “This young guy, who was about 18, tried to get the man at the catering stall to swap a dodgy fiver. It was printed like a £5 note on one side but was completely blank on the other. “He claimed he had got it as change earlier in the first half but the stall worker was having none of it. In fact, the stall worker said another fan had tried the same trick earlier. “What made it worse was that the person who had tried it earlier with a fake £10 note was standing right next to the guy who had the dodgy fiver. “The man in the kiosk said to the two of them ‘I might have fallen for it if your pal there hadn’t tried the same thing with a fake £10 about five minutes ago.’ “I think it’s appalling that so-called St Mirren fans are trying to do another struggling SPL club out of money.” Another Saints fan who overheard a supporter boasting about being able to pass on one of the fake notes added: “I went looking for a steward so I could point this guy out but, by the time I came back, he had moved somewhere else. “These idiots are not true St Mirren supporters. If they were, they wouldn’t be willing to put the club’s good name at risk for the sake of a fiver. “The vast majority of Saints fans would have nothing to do with a scam like this and I would ask anyone who knows who is responsible to contact either the club or the police.” St Mirren have confirmed they will encourage the police to take action against anyone who is caught trying to pass on forged notes
  11. We should ask Easyjet to give us sponsorhip purely by giving us a link. One Touch to your ICT Tickets.
  12. Dargo's goal was sublime - Iain Stewart of the SPL! Denzil now a one footed left foot wonder! Roy McBain now rightfooted and lazy boy Morgan right footed!
  13. Calderwood said it was the dream job for any Scotsman-speak now or forever hold your peace, is he Scottish? Great to see David Taylor holding the line against a Rangers trampling.
  14. Mark can only move to a big club with our blessing for his services or will suffer the dreaded curse. David Bambi Procter was the last of many to suffer that fate. Nobody is safe.
  15. Agent Le Guen has done a first class job. It seems ironic that as David Murray diversified into French vinyards he recruited a top French Manager supporting an anti-drink fitness regime. It was even more apparent that when Le Guen went from English into French in an interview with his BBC Minder, Chick 'I hate the cold in Inverness on New Year's Day' Young, that people did not realise he was sending out a clear message of his return home. Don't be surprised if Murray starts investing in Jam next - he's after Hartley now.
  16. Today's result is now history. A few weeks back and we were very concerned about the danger of playing Stirling so great credit to the strategy employed. Remember that Morton are just in front of Stirling and they caused the upset of the round so far so our result looks very good in that context. However, we await the draw with caution and as I posted earlier Falkirk seems the most likely draw but Rangers., if they beat Dunfermline, has a ring about it with regard to the magic of the cup. Just a pity Ross County gave up meekly.
  17. Why can't we have Ross County, Peterhead or Elgin? Congratulations to Deveronvale who I hope get Rangers away for a good pay day. Chances are we will get Falkirk at Home.
  18. Filling the stadium for each game by sensible pricing is something I would like to see. I'm not sure we have the balance right although I do appreciate the fact that there has been juggling to help. I put a question to the chairman about discounting on a certain day before games but this was not picked up in the summary answers. It also bugs me that more businesses have not taken season tickets. As a season ticket holder it would not hurt me if certain unfilled seats were discounted significantly for credit card sales say between 0900 and 1200 each Friday before a game similar to Ryanair's or Easyjet's policy. I also wonder whether their is sufficient demand for temporary seating for old firm games that could be justified. Maybe the unfilled end could be sold as space for corporate boxes. If we could cut certain prices but generate more income through extra customers this would have extra benefits. That's a commercial judgement but if it paid off we might be able to invest more in one or two extra players assuming we keep rewarding the existing players for their continued dedication against well paid or massively overpaid players - the Sebo phenomenon.
  19. The only league Dundee United top is sacking Managers. How is Levein coping this week after a 5-1 home gubbing? Sorry to hear your boys were too weak for the Cup match.
  20. Does this sway any one? http://www.tinsfortat.co.uk/o-neills-voucher.html
  21. Darren Dods is an extremely decent person. For some time both Bobby Mann and Darren have put their careers before their immediate families. ICT supporters hope he extends his stay and wish Dundee United all the best. We have the utmost respect for your Chairman's medical condition and wish him well. Football has to be seen in the true perspective.
  22. Well that game is consigned to history because we now have to start working very hard for the Stirling game. Stirling have been on a great run recently - 10 straight wins - so with our stuttering Cup form it's time for real graft over 90 minutes. Lose that and we have Aberdeen, Hibs and Celtic. Time for Denzil and Dargo to start scoring regularly and Bayne to find the net more regularly.
