Their press release is ''BREAKING NEWS | Ross County Football Club would like to announce that First Team Manager, Owen Coyle, has resigned from his post. He and Assistant Manager, Sandy Stewart, have left the club with immediate effect. Owen Coyle said: “Myself and the Chairman had a chat on Monday and after some reflective thought I felt for the good of Ross County - and the challenging situation with my family being in England - it was in everyone’s best interests for me to offer my resignation which the Chairman duly accepted.” Speaking about Coyle's resignation, Chairman, Roy MacGregor, said: “We thank Owen and Sandy for their time at Ross County Football Club and wish them well for the future.” '' Not exactly much to thank Coyle for especially given his apparent mega salary. The club clearly did not think his challenging family situation was a problem when they replaced Jim Mac. Meanwhile Derek Adams has Plymouth making further progress. So who can save County? Whilst some supporters look forward to possible derbies next year I have to say the impact of County's possible relegation is not good for Highland football overall.

Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- Dundee Utd ***GAME OFF
CELTIC1CALEY3 replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
I believe we offered to play Crusaders next weekend and in the meantime, Dunfermline re-arranged their game with Livingstone. We have played a game more than four teams and one less than St Mirren. So no real fixture problem even if we beat Crusaders who have been knocked out of two cups in 5 days.. However, Falkirk play Brechin twice this week and could well be one point behind us on Sunday but having played 2 games more. That could be 7 teams contesting the play off places. The critical thing for us is to start a run and see where that takes us. The key thing is that the run is the opposite to our start in this league.- 23 replies

Still feel Susan is getting a bit too much criticism from a few posters. He has had injuries and ill health. Zak Elbouzedi has been in a similar situation. When ICT collapsed under Kenny C the new chairman picked up a pile of issues and to be fair to Robbo he has done a remarkable job so far. He had to get bodies in, he had to get bodies out. Early losses put him under significant pressure. So Susan has not made it but out of all the changes perhaps one or two questionable signings was to be expected. Now to Ross County's multiple signing failures....................on very good money.

...but County did not sign a new Goalie

Highland Clearances as described elsewhere is not good for Highland football. Something seriously wrong over the bridge but Agent Draper and Secret Agent Fox now bringing the derbies closer by the minute. Despite a very high wage and lots of cash to bring in quality players, Coyle maybe has a better off field image than McIntyre, but he is showing he too is an ICT Special Agent. Special Agents Rooney, Shinnie and Christie all played their part last night. Who will Ross County play in goal next Saturday at Dundee?

Totally agree that MacKay should be above Baird. Bairdy is in his sunset years and shows little to suggest he is improving.

Good news. I recall lots of us joining Terry Butcher and his dog clearing the pitch to make sure we could play Dundee. We then lost!!

Highlight was Mackay goal. Two youngsters combine with the finish poor Billy or Bairdy can only dream about.

...as is Polworth

The reality though is that next week's game against Falkirk is more important than the replay.

Stephen Finnie is not a great fan of Vigurs nor Warren so watch out guys.

Polworth was to me outstanding. Vigurs was controlled and saved a certain goal when it was three on one. Donaldson was class. Warren is now using his experience to our benefit. I was there to see Mulraney score his first goal for the club - a significant breakthrough for him. Expect more now. Great cross from Aaron for Baird's goal. Oakley has real potential when he start's believing in himself. Bell is treated like a rag doll by opponents - kicked around without support from referees. Mackay was a great workhorse. Everyone played really well with Ridgers kicking in particular impressive. Against Livingston I thought we played outstanding football for 40 minutes. When Vigurs was sent off we still held our own until their late goal. Last night we built on that performance against the team that shocked the Championship with their 6-1 win against Dundee United. I know that being a referee is a difficult job but sooner or later we will get a reasonable one. I thought Oakley was kicked by the keeper when he went down for what looked like a penalty after just a few minutes. It did not look like a dive but it will be interesting to see the highlights. Whilst some of our bookings may have been merited, Warren was grabbed round the neck and despite both officials being close by, nothing was give. Longridge appeared to slap Polworth yet the referee seemed to share a joke with him and let him off. Oakley was man handled on frequent occasions but this was ignored until late in the game. Bell was body checked but it was possible this was behind the backs of the officials.

Zschusschen is still training to recover from injuries and illness. Nobody wants an injury or sickness.

Danny Williams has played in two SPFL teams with James Vincent! If he is serious about a return it raises questions about Cooper. Danny would certainly work hard if he returned.
-
We need to get off the back of Feliciano. He has had two extended but separate injuries and a period of ill health. Very few people perform to their best under such adversity and as a reminder, the fit Billy Mckay, took an age before scoring his first goal. Give it a try.

A bad night for Greg Tansey yesterday - mistimed tackle to gift Rangers a penalty, then replaced before half time. Ryan Christie booked for pushing Jason Holt and then tackle from behind resulting in his first red card..

TNS win a tremendous game and look favourites for the trophy.
