  1. after this I recall https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2398483/Super-Caley-shock-Celtic-in-cup-again.html Absolutely top guy.
  2. Saturday's crowd is not actually as important as the result. Current results keeping our season alive but the odds are very much in Dunfermline's favour.
  3. Dunfermline are massive favourites to achieve a play off place - they play us and on the final day entertain Dumbarton who will be focussed on the play off match against the Division 2 play off winners. Dundee United have come into form and can virtually guarantee 3 points next Tuesday at Brechin. They have a tricky game at QOS but can afford a defeat if they beat Livingston on the last day of the Championship season. We just have to keep winning and hope and as I said earlier, Dumbarton will provide very stern opposition next Tuesday. The win today keeps our slim hopes alive.
  4. Next Tuesday is now the hardest game of the season so far - we must avoid being ambushed. Today was stunning and Nathan's hat trick was the first by an ICT player for some time. Every single player worked very hard but for George, he worked his socks off and whilst he did not score, his workrate was top class.
  5. The belly is now a thing of the past - it's a video the club need of recent best performances.
  6. Are you out of contract or able to sign as an emergency loan? What is your fitness level like?
  7. Robbo mentioned three enforced changes for Saturday - who is suspended?
  8. Are some supporters drifting into us playing our final 6 games on the computer where they select the players and results?? We need to take each game as it comes and Falkirk is a very difficult game.
  9. Let's not get excited. The game on Tuesday will be massively tough.
  10. and...our Reserves are still beating Hibernian with a rare Billy Mckay goal.
  11. ...one unanswered question - what did Carlos say to Ralston after kicking him on the shins? Did Ralston shout at him 'I will take Neymar of that'. Carlos was certainly amused by whatever was said.
  12. Our current target is to concentrate on Saturday's game versus St Mirren. Whether we like it or not, it is the toughest of the season.
  13. The criticism on here is partly a disrfespect to Dumbarton. They are a part time team who waited over 100 years to reach another cup final. They proved extremely resilient yesterday and were much more dangerous than us in the first half. Luckily our possession football paid off in the second half although only just. That said, cup finals are often cagey affairs whether world cup or champions league. That said, we needed a positive result this year and we now move forward to retain our status in the Championship before going again next year. The players will have learned a lot from their experience this year. We need to hang on to Donaldson and Mackay though. Warren has now learnt to avoid being banned for a cup final and quite righly now has a winners medal with us.
  14. Dumbarton play Brechin on Saturday..........we have a tricky visit to Tannadice.........
  15. ..................but we still have 11 men on the pitch............
  16. Dumbarton coming to catch us............if they do, the play off will most likely be against Raith, Ayr, Arbroath or Alloa.
  17. Their press release is ''BREAKING NEWS | Ross County Football Club would like to announce that First Team Manager, Owen Coyle, has resigned from his post. He and Assistant Manager, Sandy Stewart, have left the club with immediate effect. Owen Coyle said: “Myself and the Chairman had a chat on Monday and after some reflective thought I felt for the good of Ross County - and the challenging situation with my family being in England - it was in everyone’s best interests for me to offer my resignation which the Chairman duly accepted.” Speaking about Coyle's resignation, Chairman, Roy MacGregor, said: “We thank Owen and Sandy for their time at Ross County Football Club and wish them well for the future.” '' Not exactly much to thank Coyle for especially given his apparent mega salary. The club clearly did not think his challenging family situation was a problem when they replaced Jim Mac. Meanwhile Derek Adams has Plymouth making further progress. So who can save County? Whilst some supporters look forward to possible derbies next year I have to say the impact of County's possible relegation is not good for Highland football overall.
  18. Pleased for Nick. One day we may see him back playing for ICT.
  19. I believe we offered to play Crusaders next weekend and in the meantime, Dunfermline re-arranged their game with Livingstone. We have played a game more than four teams and one less than St Mirren. So no real fixture problem even if we beat Crusaders who have been knocked out of two cups in 5 days.. However, Falkirk play Brechin twice this week and could well be one point behind us on Sunday but having played 2 games more. That could be 7 teams contesting the play off places. The critical thing for us is to start a run and see where that takes us. The key thing is that the run is the opposite to our start in this league.
  20. CELTIC1CALEY3 replied to Bronson's topic in Caley Thistle
Still feel Susan is getting a bit too much criticism from a few posters. He has had injuries and ill health. Zak Elbouzedi has been in a similar situation. When ICT collapsed under Kenny C the new chairman picked up a pile of issues and to be fair to Robbo he has done a remarkable job so far. He had to get bodies in, he had to get bodies out. Early losses put him under significant pressure. So Susan has not made it but out of all the changes perhaps one or two questionable signings was to be expected. Now to Ross County's multiple signing failures....................on very good money.
  21. ...but County did not sign a new Goalie
  22. Highland Clearances as described elsewhere is not good for Highland football. Something seriously wrong over the bridge but Agent Draper and Secret Agent Fox now bringing the derbies closer by the minute. Despite a very high wage and lots of cash to bring in quality players, Coyle maybe has a better off field image than McIntyre, but he is showing he too is an ICT Special Agent. Special Agents Rooney, Shinnie and Christie all played their part last night. Who will Ross County play in goal next Saturday at Dundee?
  23. Totally agree that MacKay should be above Baird. Bairdy is in his sunset years and shows little to suggest he is improving.
