  1. Congratulations to the players and Yogi but at the earliest opportunity can we have news of who has been released. On the face of it we are talking about significant numbers.
  2. Will will retain our unbeaten and clean sheet record in Europe next year. Not many teams can say that.
  3. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-36080667 ...............Scotty any theories?
  4. If you go to the Dundee United fora you will see that their fans were appalled by Gunning's behaviour. Those who know his lifestyle feel he is totally unprofessional both off and as was shown yesterday, on the field. Some felt the referee showed pity!!!
  5. Let's be positive. Within the UK we have a modest budget, a hard core of supporters, and despite all the set backs this year, we have nearly survived in the top league in Scotland once again. We reached the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup. We actually have some very talented players at our disposal and this year have at times played some great football. After the highs of last season that is not a bad season providing we avoid the play offs and do not fall into the Butcher trap - exercised here and in Hibernian - we are nearly there. Realistically we do not know why we do not have more players signed up for next year. Balancing the budgets must be an issue especially after paying out for a range of operations, treatments and rehabilitation for players this year. That was a cost we would not have budgetted for at the start of the season. Going forward, next year will be an almighty challenge. We have done very well against top six sides this year and may not be so lucky next year if Rangers and Hibernian both come up. Dundee United has been a source of points in the last two seasons - 10 last year - with Killie and Hamilton difficult opponents and sometimes underestimated. These are the challenges our Board and management have certainly had to contend with amongst other key issues.
  6. Jonny Hayes played 29 minutes for Ireland yesterday.
  7. It's party time!!!! Tonight's going to be a good time...put on those drapes, head to the big city and celebrate our storey.
  8. This is a must not lose game! To me one of our best performances was the league win away to Motherwell when we had a really weakened side. Greg captained the side that day and every player played out of their socks (including Lopez as a sub). I presume Greg is captain again before his suspension so hope he can inspire an attacking strategy for our defence.
  9. Hibs have beaten a whole stack of SPFL teams this year in cups so Yogi and the team need to be cautious and show them tremendous respect. It is therefore now the biggest match of our season and needs enormous energy to win it.
  10. The words quoted and tone were very audible. I do not know who uttered them but they were clearly directed at the Astra Manager and team who had been treated as the City of Inverness's guests. If you heard them you would have cringed. There was no defence. Nor is there any defence for people who lob or set off flares. What is the point? In terms of fairness, we live in an unfair world. When Celtic come to play us, most of their fans stand up throughout the game but I do not recall 100s being arrested afterwards. Our club tries to set high standards and on the assumption that the real perpetrator has been caught and punished that seems fair to me.
  11. Just out of interest, Astra are currently top of the Romania League: http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/association=rou/domesticleague/standings/index.html We may have been disappointed but we can be extremely proud of our debut in Europe.
  12. Ewe had to be there to witness this masterpiece of a distraction.
  13. Willie Collum gave Aberdeen a late penalty at Pittodrie when the ball was subsequently shown to hit Devine on the chest. Presumably the Aberdeen players appealed too easily!!! And, we certainly remember Considine's push on Foran with 5 minutes to go in the League Cup Final. We still have a big relegation fight on our hands but that result helped us temporarily. Certainly dented Aberdeen's European Cup dreams for the while. Of all the nights to have roadworks on the A96 just east of Tesco, last night was not the best unless you lived locally.
  14. Who's job is it to screw up the balls?
  15. Well, someone had to say it. It would be fantastic if another Highland team reached a final and indeed wrecked Celtic's annual right top a treble.
  16. A certain Ryan Christie made his debut for Celtic late on against St Johnstone.
  17. Motherwell is a massively tough game if we beat Stirling - unlikely to score from the half way line again!!
  18. English (and Welsh) FA Cup - Swansea beaten by Oxford United and ex-ICT player - Alan Curtis' side felt aggrieved at Oxford's leveller - Alex MacDonald tumbling without any real contact from Kyle Bartley - but the challenge was reckless and epitomised the muddled nature of some of Swansea's play.
  19. Stokes is more likely to start than Roberts so a 4-3-3 formation against a team who did brilliantly against St Johnstone but who have three suspensions this Saturday.
  20. 'Storey buoy, sorry Stokesy bouy, you love scoring in Inverness - your first goal for Falkirk was in a 1–0 victory on 19 September 2006 in the Scottish League Cup, and then on 21 October two more goals against Inverness. We've got guys like Aaron and Richie who can talk your lingo but we will organise a translator for you with Garry Warren.'
  21. Devine was booked against Aberdeen for protesting his innocence and showing the linesman a brown round shape on his chest which he claimed was the shot from Goodwillie that he had allegedly handled.
  22. “I think my loan agreement ends on January 9th and a lot of times things happen on the last day, so it will probably be the case again. “But the Stirling Albion game could be my last one for Inverness, although I hope it’s not.''
  23. Ex Par Chris Smith is the Stirling keeper - what chance he plays the game of his life?
  24. We've had pictures of Ross County Air, Ross County Holidays, but has anyone seen Ross County TV?
  25. Under the laws of the game there is no such thing as a soft penalty. Quinn bundled into Draper. Towards the end of the game Collum gave Aberdeen successive corners. Neither seemed to touch ICT players before going out. Despite two free corners, Aberdeen supporters then chanted 'you don't know what you are doing' which summed up Collum's performance for a lot of the second half. Scotland did not qualify for Euro 2016 but they will have Willie Collum representing the country..............wonder what Jacqueline from Celtic would say to that!! However, a great performance from the team. Roberts will be like a new signing when he gets back up to speed. Last year 'nil' points from the Dons - this year 4 from 6. Hamilton away tomorrow is actually a massive game for us. We must not underestimate them.
