  1. Inverness Caledonian Thistle have released Jordan Roberts after the Scottish Premiership club decided against taking up the option of extending the 22-year-old midfielder's contract by another year. (Daily Express, print edition)
  2. His cup goal against Motherwell was fantastic-absolutely stunning. Good luck to him because he showed real potential.
  3. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=2016/teams/team=113/squad/index.html Three Astra players in the squad.
  4. Motherwell have held signing talks with goalkeeper Dean Brill, the 30-year-old who was released by Inverness Caledonian Thistle after a year sidelined by injury. (Daily Record, print edition)
  5. Still very good money for someone who failed badly at Bolton. So where does Yogi go now - back to painting and decorating?
  6. Let's be fair here, we criticise the governing bodies but this does create significant interest and excitement for up and coming players to impress. It is very innovative but clearly could be quite expensive if say our development team get a draw in the South of Wales or a team there draws Wick Academy.
  7. Wigan Athletic have announced that four players will leave the club when their contracts expire during the summer. The League One champions have confirmed Leon Barnett, Ryan Jennings, Kevin McNaughton and Reece Wabara will be allowed to exit. Midfielders Chris McCann and Jordan Flores are offered new deals. Emyr Huws, Jack Hendry, Billy Mckay, Andrew Taylor, Dan Lavercombe and Danny Whitehead have all been out on loan but will return for pre-season.
  8. It depends when their contracts end....if they are under contract it clearly would still be a pre-contract situation now unless they had signed for their existing club (Lawless?). I am sure not every contract expired on 31 May 2016.
  9. Inspirational epitomising the ICT spirit. Well done.
  10. The SPFL has confirmed its four league competitions begin the 2016-17 season the weekend of Saturday, 6 August 2016. This follows the group stages of the revamped Scottish League Cup, eight groups of five teams playing each other once in a round-robin format in July. This 80-game group stage will involve all 38 teams not involved in Uefa qualifiers, plus winners of this season's Highland and Lowland Leagues. Premiership clubs also enjoy a three-week winter break in January 2017. The full fixture lists for the 2016-17 SPFL league season are expected to be published on Friday 17 June 2016. 20/21 May 2017 is the end of Ladbrokes Premiership season.
  11. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3618574/From-Real-Madrid-Inverness-Caledonian-Thistle-Wales-boss-Chris-Coleman-s-chosen-Euro-2016.html Some very good publicity for the club linking Gareth Bale and us!!! ''From Real Madrid to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, these are Wales boss Chris Coleman's chosen few for Euro 2016''
  12. Malpas - Looks like a wind up. Doubt if Richie or any of the players have any respect for him.
  13. Probably not going to Euro 2016 so his career is going down the way..............we can normally help these type of players...........
  14. Quite a turnaround for Iain. Without a club, turning out in the Highland League an option, training at DW Sports under the noses of ICT players, crisis at ICT, come back Iain all is forgiven. I think he had a nervy start but latterly has played some outstanding football. With Danny Williams away, his left foot is a key part of our team building. Well done to club and Iain.
  15. It seems very fair from the outside looking in. However, sometimes you have to step back to go forward, and this may slightly underestimate what Hughes and Latapy achieved. We might never have reached last year's heights had these two not been appointed. We will never know. For a club of our size and with the injuries we have endured this year but possibly through poor dealings in the transfer market we were never going to reach the same peak. The irritation with Yogi is his apparent disloyal exit strategy at a club that has a history of being very loyal to its managers and I believe its players. Yogi probably burnt himself out and after taking real umbrage at not going for the Dundee United job, where he clearly would have had far more contact with his twins and wider family, he committed to ICT but could not then contain his frustrations. It also appears that Yogi parachuted in Brian Rice who had some serious issues in his last job. So Yogi is loyal but clearly something behind the scenes that we may not have seen, triggered this fracture.
  16. Thanks Mr Chairman...are you sure it is safe to insert the microphone there!! He found it funny during the Maurice Johnstone interview
  17. Paddy Field and Rice the perfect combination to train Doran to Pilaf Bas Matty our new striker in the Jam Bowl.
  18. One of the new Manager's first tasks is to sort out this kind of thinking ' Brendan Rodgers insists he has no problem going from the highlife of the Premier League to facing Inverness on a Tuesday night.. Last season he would have said '...going to face Ross County on a Tuesday night.' How low have we sunk?
  19. Season ticket now renewed!!
  20. Brilliant news and we can start renewing our season tickets with optimism. Next season will be tough like any season in the SPFL. David is a very talented player. We need talented players. Let's hope that by Friday we have lots of good news coming from the club.
  21. Brilliant news. A few more bits like this and we can start re-buying our season tickets with more confidence. Owain is a really decent guy and good goal keeper which is bad news for Deano. Unless Ryan becomes Richie's assistant then Deano will be moving on. He might be an outstanding signing for a team like Dundee United or even Hamilton. Last year before his injury he was one of the best keepers in the SPFL.
  22. Foran and Esson as Assistant might facilitate the retention of Deano. Both Richie and Ryan are very fit people with significant drive.
  23. Disaster, The trigger point appears to have been the denial given to Yogi to speak to Dundee United. From that point on it appears he took the huff and despite a 2.5 year contract it appears he could not settle down. Let's hope this is a trigger point at the right time in the 'season' but it is a major challenge for this club.
  24. http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__therulesofthespfl_1375800603.pdf Any Club Playing an ineligible Player in an Official Match and the Player concerned shall be in breach of the Rules and these Regulations. 21. If a Player Plays, whilst subject to suspension by the SFA and/or the League from participating or being named as a substitute in an Official Match, the Club and the Player concerned shall be in breach of the Rules and these Regulations.........................with the common statement throughout is that parties found guilty '... shall be liable to such penalty as the Board may decide.
