  1. Would it not be funny if Scotty could program the site to allow established viewers the chance to see who the guests were - or which newspapers or agents they are or represent. Any quick look up tables? Chick Young.....Charlie Bannerman....are you out there?
  2. Robbo has been speaking to Grassa recently trying to do a deal on a centre half!!!

  4. If the quotes are correct, Warnock has more or less said the cash is incidental. He will know from Rossco's testimonial that resources this side of Aviemore are scarce. As an unemployed person with wads of cash the thrill of managing up here where his wife appears to want to be and with family somewhere nearby is a good reason to escape and see real mountains each day. In terms of body language the sunburned one at the helm in Aberdeen seemed to give strong credence to Brewster's impending release. In addition McLeish fuelled the fires tonight suggesting he did not want to influence Inverness by recommending Pressley. Donald and Pressley would probably be a dream team with Hearts connections although Pressley would have to take a substantial pay cut to get into management. An Elgin lad, he'd be coming home but would Celtic let him go for free. Malpass unfortunately would be an utter disaster as would Joe Miller. The message coming out of the club is of an imminent appointment and the only way that could take place is if there were no obstacles in the way. Who can get here quickly enough and sign an experienced centre half to provide experience at the heart of the defence? I'd like to go with paying Dundee United ?200k for Dods just to see their little faces light up and realise the pain they have caused us on two occasions. Funny ole game Saint!!
  5. He looked pretty relaxed walking down Fochabers High Street last night. I am sure he and Donald would strike up a good partnership. The fact Peterhead beat us in pre season may prove interesting. Pele may however find it difficult to command the respect of players at SPL level. All the speculation at present ignores the fact that ICT do not have a wad of cash to pay compensation to other clubs for taking their managers. Coyle, for instance, is contracted to St Johnstone for two more years.
  6. It is quite remarkable how much energy you have put into the club. Today we reflect on your achievement as a Manager.
  7. I see **** Campbell's name on the next string if our beloved team fail to bring back a point. He clearly has a passion for this club!!! However, 10CC is a far better manager and sniping is against every Manager bar Walter Smith and maybe Craig Levein. It is important to realise that one point will take us equal with the Dons if Celtic give them a good 3-0 doing.
  8. Virgo is a snooker player anyway. You could tell that by his performance at the Caledonian Stadium last season - our boys played better than him.
  9. If everyone supports him he will produce the goods. Richie still has a lot of potential to be fulfilled.
  10. In years to come we will see videos, academic papers, eyewitness accounts, and the Freelander video all justifying or criticising the penalty. There will be the conspiracy theories. Fraser says 'no penalty'. Munro says 'he's a diver'. Some of our supporters at the match thought it was a penalty. TV evidence so far suggests a skilfull bit of acting by Clarkson. In decades to come will you remember where you were when Clarkson crashed on the grassy knoll?
  11. I have no guilt saying well done because I have supported him through thick and thin. He is in a squad of very talented players. Zander is not there because unlike Rory he has far less experience.
  12. The last unlucky team we played was Dunfermline. They are struggling in SFL1 let alone the Championship.
  13. Complacency has been a problem at ICT as indeed every club. Time waits for no man and Dunfermline now prop up Division 1. Historically we are better in adversity. Ask Clyde or Celtic. I insist the Rangers result was reasonable. Our boys are not millionaires. Yesterday's result appears disappointing but the pattern has been seen before. Take the lead towards the end, celebrate and then lose. Blame the ref, blame the manager, blame the opposition, blame the weather, blame Romanov, blame Chick Young, belittle Ross County. We must not lose next week. This time last year Golly's career with us effectively ended. I have confidence Donald and Charlie will get things spot on next week. But beware, St Mirren are hungry and complacency last season meant we gave away 3 easy points on the first day.
  14. For those who have not read this weeks Courier, the centre page features Charlie Bannerman. I am quite proud I have beaten Charles in road races. I could not touch him on the track where he was off like a fast but chubby gazelle. Even more proud now that I read he has a first class degree in chemistry. Some achievement Charles!!! I had to check which forum to post this on and concluded that in this context, Charles deserves to be applauded on the ICT football site for his contribution to this great club. No doubt some of his pupils and former pupils will have some interesting stories to tell.
  15. Rangers had the strongest side they have ever put out at the Stadium last week. The back four were all tall, experienced, on form and skilfull. Rangers have now gone four big games without conceding a goal. They wore us down. Rory was part of a team that was ground to dust basically and few people realised that at the time because they saw Inverness with 7 points from last season doing the same again. No Bayne, no Dargo, no fit McDonald and no Marius. All successful people work through adversity. David Weir did not develop until he was about 26. Rory does lose heart after being battered in games but Bayne was like that at 20 years of age and he is working at regular goal scoring himself without too much success. So I suggest all the skilfull players posting on here should get down to the stadium and ask Charlie for a trial to prove they are better than Rory.
  16. 10 CC on Grampian indicated he missed training today for talks with maybe our next big signing. Kelly has not signed for Kilmarnock so maybe he's back on the radar. It would be helpful to get Marius out of the spotlight.
  17. McDonald's built like our new tank - Donald won't be able to lift him let alone throw him on. If Bayne is fit: Fraser Tokely McCaffrey Munro Hastings Hart Duncan Black Wyness Nikulae Bayne
  18. Put yourself in the place of the players in question. It is irrelevant whether they play for Rangers or Wick. They are entitled to as much respect as anyone going into any workplace. There should be no place in society for racism or sectarianism and both are condemned in Scotland. Rangers had a right to complain in Montenegro.
  19. Just a small point, I recall Barry being subjected to the boo boys at the Stadium some time back and after he re-established himself he became a hero and then moved to Livingston. He ceased to be a hero but after being a villain returned to the Stadium as a hero. One week ago he was a hero and praised that he deserved his testimonial a year early. After a modest display against Rangers he has escaped major criticism. As Rory knows villain to hero can be achieved overnight at any club but at Inverness the expectations are such that transformation must be quicker than that.
  20. Just read it and it's brilliant news. We should now put out a different blend on Saturday but Motherwell will be ready for us. As supporters it is great to have the chance to see a player of Marius's quality at the Caledonian Stadium - playing for us!!
  21. Let's now get the Rangers game into perspective. They beat Chelsea 2-0. They win two games in Europe without conceding a goal. They beat us with two stunning goals and a third well executed after a defensive mistake. We need to react and prevent a season of fighting Gretna or St Mirren for the relegation slot but our performance can be fixed especially as Rangers played a lot better than our board suggests. This Saturday will be a test of character.
  22. If Sebo had a permit to work has he not therefore breached the Trade Descriptions Act? Surely Rangers were entitled to get more from their purchase?
  23. I have to credit the supporters by the tunnel who sought to stop the singing by alerting the police stewards and the SPL delegate. It surprises me Ally McCoist suddenly went deaf.....'Ally McCoist has vowed to personally intervene if Rangers supporters are heard singing the crude songs which could scupper the club's ambitions in the SPL and Champions League. The Rangers assistant manager joined forces with security chief Kenny Scott and Light Blues legend Sandy Jardine to urge supporters to desist from sectarian chanting in a renewed effort to improve the club's image with UEFA and across the board. McCoist admits Rangers may never rid themselves of their sectarian element, but he has urged anyone with views which might be considered offensive to keep them private. Ibrox chiefs are aware and fearful of the potential for Rangers being docked points, fined or even thrown out of competitions due to the behaviour of supporters. Asked whether he would take action during a match, McCoist said: "I've got to stop it, of course I would. "If my club is going to get docked three points I think it's the sensible thing to do, try to nip it in the bud straight away." McCoist warned that supporters could cost Rangers their shot at glory if the minority continue to indulge in behaviour he insists they know is out of order. "They have to come on board and come with us. We've already had this warning from UEFA and it's getting serious," he said. "Once you start talking about getting points deducted - it's a hard enough job trying to win cups and win leagues as it is. "We just can't afford any setbacks. Obviously we've been threatened with fines and things like that. We can't afford it to happen.' See http://www.sportinglife.com/football/scott...cotspremiership Tonight on TV his defence was we need to take action before we get docked points. Has judgement already been made in their favour? If this was Inverness or St Mirren or Motherwell the full might of the SPL would hit us to prevent problems for other member clubs. Rangers should be docked points and forced to compensate member clubs for lost income if they ban their own loyal supporters from away grounds.
  24. Classic spot the ball competition although from Boyd's face the ball is not made of leather.
