  1. Rosscoe off jack Sutherland (I think) on
  2. He was supposed to be very good when he was at county..
  3. 1-0 Overhead kick from Foran. Sounds better than it was to be fair haha.
  4. Graeme Shinnie off Andrew Greig on
  5. I'll try my best to keep this updated from the stadium.
  6. Me and the old boy will be there.
  7. just paid up.
  8. Tade, Christophe, Stevenson and Sutherland were all sitting in the stand watching.. No sign of Cox or Hayes (of the guys signed up they were the only two I can think of that weren't there). Terry has been saying in interviews that Johnny should be back for the Elgin game on Saturday. Edit: Esson is another signed player who wasn't there.
  9. Not a bad run put for the boys I thought. In terms of my opinion of the new guys. Meekings did not fill me with much confidence, good talker but too easily beaten in the air, he's not a centre half IMO. Andy Shinnie was alright I thought, bagged a couple of goals but didn't seem to do much else other than run offside. The game also seemed to pass Tansey by so still yet to get an opinion on him. The new goalkeeper (can't remember his name) had nothing to do. Thought Greig looked a handful when he came on. My man of the match would probs be Nick Ross he seemed to be involved in anything we did going forward. Have to say despite scoring 7 im pretty worried about where our goals are going to come from this season.. Just hope Tade or Gornell look more the part.
  10. Its official.
  11. me and the old boy.

    Trialists

he looks really really familiar but i can't put a name to the face.
  13. Obviously the reason he never played for County or Liverpool was due to the fact that he was still a very young player at the time. Also, he did not go to Airdrie after being released from Liverpool, he in fact actually went to Fulham, but again was still probably not expected to break into the first team at that point. IMO he could of/would of gone to play at a very high level but he has had a terrible time with injuries - that it what is "amiss". I don't for one second doubt his ability though, as he's probably one of, if not the best youth player I have ever seen. Alex wrong again? Gary is undoubtedly a good player but I still don't understand why he never broke into County's first team.. Okay he was only 17 when he left but surely all PROPERLY good players should be ready for first team action by then.
  14. Wish I didn't hate Man City. I feckin' love that shirt.
  15. I didn't dismiss them because they were relegated (or close to being so) I was dismissing them because they have been deemed not good enough for a team we should be looking to be better than or at the very least as good as and thus if they are not good enough for them they should not be good enough for us. When we got relegated that was obviously a completely different matter. We, like any other team, kept hold of the best players we could and got rid of those who were not good enough to merit another contract. Of the players we let go I do not know of one who is still playing in the SPL and I believe that St Mirren's released players will be the same.. very few will get a new contract in the SPL. I think its clear that Terry is looking to youngsters who haven't quite managed to break into much bigger teams (such as Andrew Shinnie) and players from South of the border in the hope of finding another Lee Cox, Johnny Hayes or Kenny Gillet.
  16. I see in the gossip section on the BBC Sport Scotland website that the Daily Record are saying that the ex Dundee Utd and Rangers striker Steven Thompson, who is out of contract with Burnley at the end of this season, is attracting the attention of 3 SPL clubs. Do you think ICT could be one of them? And what are peoples thoughts be on him as a potential signing?
  17. I'd say if they're not good enough to play for a team who only avoided relegation due to Hamilton being so bad then they are not good enough for us. I think Dargo has only scored in 3 games this season or something equally rubbish.
  18. Can't believe that as a student I am expected to pay 20 quid for a nothing end of season game against two teams with literally nothing to play for. Looks like I won't be going to this on after all. Surely it woud have made all kinds of sense to reduce the ticket prices for this game. Hamilton struggle to get people to come and see them at the best of times and in a match where they have already been relegated and are playing (lets be honest) a team that their fans will have no real interest in seeing they could have had more chance of filling at least 1000 seats with reduced prices..
  19. I think the split is a good thing overall. What have we been playing for in the last 6 months? What have we been discussing all the time? Without the split, most of our season would have been a series of meaningless friendlies, with no chance of the title or Europe, and no chance of relegation. How dull would that have been? I just don't like it. We have been playing for a top six finish but surely without the split we'd still be playing to finish as high as we can.. I just personally don't think the league splitting adds anything other than another Old Firn derby which keeps the media/spl happy. Also out of interest does anyone know of any other leagues that use a split format? I don't know of any.
  20. The other argument is that we have been playing 'lesser' opposition but it is very annoying and the whole split format is so stupid.
  21. That's an apples and oranges analogy. First of all, Vigurs was young player who had only been at the club for a relatively short time. Duncan has played consistently and consistently well for over a decade. ICT weren't always noticeably better or worse, whether Vigurs played or not. It is pretty much indisputable that ICT are a far superior team when Duncan plays. Questions were asked, and rumours surfaced in early 2009, that Vigurs in training was either late, didn't turn up, or simply came across as lazy and uninterested. No-one can doubt that passion and commitment that Duncan has and continues to have for ICT. This'll be the same Vigurs who's too good to stay at county after this season. Good enough to play for Celtic but will likely sign for Hibs or Cheltenham Town. He is quoted as having told someone that. Anyway whoever gets Russel is getting a bargain. I was just suggesting that at the end of the day we are football fans, Terry is the manager. We can be gutted (which I am) but we have to trust Terry's decisions and so far on the whole we can't complain about what he has done for the club.. But anyway here's hoping this time next year we are speaking about the fantastic new squad we have rather than who is leaving..
  22. im absolutely gutted that russell is leaving and i also feel that we are always better when he is in the team. But i'm going to go with terry on this one. i remember around about this time two years ago when the list of players being released/re-signed was announced and vigurs had been told he would be released the uproar it created on this forum. that seems to have worked out just fine..
  23. I think that guy has been visiting charity shops buying old shirts and claiming them to be 'rare and matchworn'
  24. Hayes because is more of a match winner.
