2-0 ICT, McKay and Vincent with goals
  2. I see that lot from over the bridge have arranged a friendly against a Man Utd XI. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22868195?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  3. He'd probably want more to come up here because Inverness is soooo far from civilisation and the hassle it would cause would need to be counteracted by wages.
  4. He would've been a nice addition to the squad and since this info is coming from fraser I assume it to be correct because I don't think he's been wrong with any calls about players coming or going
  5. YOU ARE MY DORAN MY AARON DORAN YOU CROSS THE BALLS IN FOR BILLY YOU LOVE A NIGHT OUT IN MIAMI OH PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY DORAN AWAY
  6. Brilliant news, I think playing him through the middle in the Shinniesta could be a good shout. Might start claiming hes the Irish Messi. Here he is (albeit playing right up top) playing through the middle and scoring twice against Italy U21.

He'd probably be a good signing actually
  8. Although I really don't see it happening I would absolutely love if we signed Akinfenwa mainly for his cult hero status but he'd probably be a genuinely good option. Big, STRONG, experienced proven goalscorer who has played upfront with Billy before. Actually the more I think about it, Terry, get him signed up.
  9. Ok, I got a bit addicted.. Made some that'll please certain members too..
  10. OK, I've been caught fishing without a permit. Doesn't mean I've run out of bait though...
  11. I've found the example I was thinking of. When Joe Ledley moved from Cardiff to Celtic, Cardiff didn't get compensation as he had moved to a 'foreign' league. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/cardiff_city/8448681.stm
  12. Unless it was a very low nominal compensation fee then I would imagine that the deal would stall. Like most other SPL clubs, we wont be spending much on transfer fees this season Is there not some sort of weird ruling that a player can move from an English club to a Scottish club without the previous club being due compensation. I seem to recall this being the case (in football manager haha) when we (or another SPL club.. I can't really remember) were looking to sign a player from England and his previous club didn't want him to come North as they wouldn't get any compensation.
  13. How about to the song of you are my sunshine... You are my Doran My Aaron Doran You cross the balls in for Billy You love a night out in Miami Oh please don't take my Doran away
  14. Maybe some people more inventive than me can come up with a 'Doran and Foran' chant to the bananas in pyjamas theme...
  15. Hoggy has confirmed on twitter that he is away too. Pretty gutted to see the big man go but I guess he would be one of the club's higher earners and at this stage in his career coming back from injury he needs to be guaranteed game time. We are very lucky to have the centre halves that we do and I guess we cannot offer him a guaranteed place in the team. Wish him and everyone else leaving all the very best.

'Welsh winger Owain Tudur Jones'.. Winger, indeed... But yeah, Steve has been brilliant for the club, potentially Butcher's greatest signing and long may that continue
  17. Gavin Morrison has just tweeted that today was his last day with the club. I wish him all the very best for the future.
  18. Just because it isn't the norm does not mean there isn't commercial value to be gained from utilising this strategy. However, if the club believe there is no value to be made from a commercial/business deal then that makes it even more sensible for the fans to offer to pay to have the stand's naming rights.
  19. This thread has got me thinking... I wonder if we, the CTO users, could make enough money to re-name the stand in a wee crowdfunding venture. I haven't a clue how many users we have but I was looking at the cost of advertising boardings around the ground and the most expensive of these is £2500 + VAT (£3000). Now I understand the club would no doubt be looking for quite a bit more to own the naming rights to the stand but I was thinking if enough of us could club together and pay a little bit each to have the stand renamed to either something (sensible) voted for by a poll on here or we could extend this to include the Caley Jags Together and have the 'Caley Jags Together Stand' it would give the club a wee bit more cash and I know quite a few fans are often looking for ways to support the club financially. By looking at the facebook page likes (the only reference I have to user numbers) CTO has 487 and CJT has 339. So say we could get 300 people interested enough to pay £30 a season to support the club thats £9000 a year which the club isn't currently getting. £9000 isn't that much in the grand scheme of things granted but it would be a nice gesture by both the fans and the club in allowing us to have the name. Perhaps the real commercial value in this comes from the press releases and marketing that can be put out about it advertising the fact the club is willing to re-name stands and in the future create more value from sponsorship rights. Just a thought...
  20. The only other I can think of is Stuart Armstrong who was released by us prior to joining Dundee Utd.
  21. Whilst I, unfortunately, believe Toni is away that is the same article which states that Nick Ross is out of contract at the end of the season
  22. Looks like we're being given the chance to spoil Celtic's party http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/celtic/220484-celtic-set-to-get-chance-to-claim-the-spl-title-against-inverness-ct/

A quick check of Dundee's official twitter account has confirmed that our U20s did indeed beat Dundee 3-1 today after going 1-0 down early on. Our goals came from a penalty, number 11 and number 9 whoever they were.
