  1. This thread title sounds like a sex aid manual instruction (you just put that bit on..) Which is a bit like section G really. In my day, I would have been in there trying it all out no matter how outrageous. I wouldn't have bothered who I offended and I would only only be able to reply "dunno" when asked why I thought that attachment was a good idea. However, nowadays I would realise that I can't be like that so I prefer to sit on the periphery (i.e. anywhere in the North Stand) so that I can dip in and out of the banter as long as propriety/ self image/ my kid will allow me. So stay attached please section G.
  2. It's Pinochet isn't it. Did he not used to round people up into football stadiums and they just disappeared? Maybe he's been there since the start of the season....
  3. Bound to be tons of scummy Dee's there. It is just along the road for them, in fact you can get further by berry bus. It's also the only competition they have any (remote, very remote) chance of winning this year.
  4. Listen, as one GOM (grumpy old man) to another I couldn't agree with you more. You could add them; travelling to places you've never been at your expense, having cool toys that you never had, being mair talented at football than you ever were. It's hellish, it really is. And say what you like, I'll not be calling you an eejit or anything else for that matter. It's your point of view.
  5. Your last seven words concern me. I do not think the 'younger posters' require to be encouraged unconditionally, they require to toe the line when posting and accept that a certain standard has to be set. If they require to be Forum upstarts let them blow off steam on P & B and come on here once they have seen sense. I have posted, in the past, my appreciation of this forum but there is no doubt that in the recent past postings have gone downhill. If we accept that postings must reflect the onfield/support behaviour then we are in for a hard time on here. Losing in this league is something we will have to get used to but we could still end up in a good place - better placed for next season for instance. Childish postings should not be tolerated. I feel we are suffering from a small minority of 'problem puppies' and this should not spoil it for the rest of us. . Sorry, I'm late in coming back to this (that work thing again) and the argument has probably moved on again. Again, absent friend, I respect but don't agree with your point of view. My use of the word "unconditional" was carefully considered and used because the "conditions" of use of this site are not at all clear (in a broad sense). If they are not, people will seek to impose their own conditions ("childish postings etc. , problem puppies, upstarts) If that happens, like any diverse family, we will descend into acrimony. That's when the parents go "......this for a game of soldiers" and...you get the picture. Accept that people hold different views. Accept that they will wind each other up and if they are young and pushing it (isn't that what young people do?) shake your head, point out a better way and realise it's a long game and they will learn. If they don't, we might just have to live without them. But not arbitarily and only if they understand fully the rules that they have broken. I'm sorry that 7 words concerned you; it should have only been the 1.
  6. Im coming late to this one, so bear with me. It's a contest, there are rules but these rules are open to interpretation and arbitrated by people. Everyone wants to be the winner so there are going to be people in every game who push the envelope. And they get how much for winning it? It's a miracle it's not worse and Henry is right (sadly) - if the whistle disnae blow - on ye go.
  7. That's the point though RiG, I'd be more worried if it had succeeded. We don't need factions within what is, in essence, a small support. I understand where they are coming from when I read posts like Caleymad in Berks above: I don't agree with some of it, but I think that you are entitled to your point of view and to voice it. But why the need to point out the spelling? It just creates more division over a point that didn't need to be made. One thing that is correct here, though, is that the "younger" posters on here are the opinion formers of the future for this club, and they need to be encouraged unconditionally.
  8. First off, it's sad that it has come to this from Scotty & Don, but the quality of posts is entirely reflective of the quality of support. If there is no atmosphere at TCS, negativity and intolerance from the supporters (or a significant section of the supporters) a perceived lack of communication from the Club and a team on the pitch that fails to live up to expectations (no matter how reasonable or otherwise they are) then these things will manifest themselves here. I would imagine that trying to reconcile that lot would drive you mad over time. There is no question, however, that things have gone downhill, but rather than taking measures to control (increased mod activity) or alienate (little brother site for section G) this church needs to broaden it's appeal. There may be an opportunity here to canvass on our core values and pin them to a code of conduct that posters adhere to. If they fail to, it's a yellow card. Another one and it's a red and you get banned for a preordained period. Serious monkey busines, straight red. I think, though, that we have to recognise that we represent the motivated amongst the support, the ones who can actually be bothered to stand up and voice an opinion. We need more of these, of broader representation. But it has to be about opinion rather than name calling and baiting, otherwise people will become worn down by it and cease to feel that running this site is a worthwhile excercise.

    Interesting...

OK you've convinced me. Let's relish this 2-0 victory over the mighty Airdrie United and remember it for years to come. Next week we're bound to beat lowly Melville's Millions XI FC at least 4-0 in front of thousands of ICT fans at McDiarmid Park. I hear that the SFA engraver is already putting our name on the Alba Cup and Division 1 trophy. Logics a bit shot mate. How do you extrapolate 2-0 yesterday into a 4-0 next week? Sarcasm or pointless hyperbole? I don't really care, your negativity is getting me down (and it would seem, others around here) Again, if whining is your thing do it somewhere else and gies peace.

I was happy enough with the team's performance, and a very welcome 3 points. Tokely was completely out of order in venting his spleen on the wee physio girly who's only concern after all was for his injury and his well being. His behaviour was pathetic and childish - I do hope he intends to apologise. Johnboy, I was sitting just behind the dugout. He grabbed his hand away twice, shouting "f**king h*ll twice. I said a bit more than that when I got my last fracture x-rayed, none of aimed at anyone.

"Let's all be negative!" Nah, RiG, it's gone beyond that. B&C if you are really that unhappy, go support someone else (after reading that dictionary entry of course) Then read the entry for Troll.
  12. Talking shyte does not constitute mind games. Witty, insightful banter (are we not aliens springs to mind) is. Retard. I have a psychology degree and have 3 daughters and a wife... when you have these qualifications, come on here and tell me what is and what is not mind games... idiot! Great! You have both the theoretical and the practical cornered there, and believe me I know. I thought this post was long deid! Actually, if Kiltarlity had read the post, we were both saying the same thing, i.e. that DA's mind games werenae up to much.I stick to that. BTW, I respect your intellect and fertility friend, but mine? I'll keep that to myself.
  13. Bridge & Castle is a troll. Fiver says it, are you watching this Mods?

This thread started off about nae pleasing everybody after yesterday, yes? Then the thread degenerates into evidence of just that. Yesterday, we scored two with no reply. With a bit more skill/ luck it could have (should have) been five or six. The team was set up the right way, kept it's shape well and even if some individual performances wernae great stuck to it. Substitutions worked, and still the greetin faced turn up pedalling woe and misery. It wasn't "sunday league" football, and I wish that Butcher had retorted to that one when he heard it from some half wit during the match. It wasn't unacceptable for Rosscoe to swear like bu**ery with what looked like a dislocated finger, and he owes no one an apology for that. There are people on here that seem determined to take the gloss off any win. How would you like to play in front of that week in week out? Look up any dictionary for the meaning of the word "support" and it ain't what's happening here. Both Butcher & Malpas looked like they wanted to be anywhere but in that dug out yesterday, so the naysayers might be on to something- after all 4th at this stage in the season, in a cup final with a team in transition is nothing to celebrate is it?
  15. We won 2-0 against the team that is at foot of the table. "Let's not get carried away here" should be the lesson learnt last week. My mistake, eh? Jay 7 what is it with you? If you have such a downer on the players, management, plying style etc. etc. why not go and support someone you do like. A 2-0 win that could have been loads more, and not a single positive comment. Jings.
  16. Nae a bad game at all. Two goals to the good and it could/ should have been more. Thought their keeper was good and they threw their bodies in the way just in the nick of time on countless occasions. In truth, could have been 4 or 5. Had a novel experience sitting in the main stand just behind the dug out. I had no idea how bad the atmosphere was there, but I do now. It wasn't "Sunday league football" as was being screamed from behind me along with every negative comment in the book. Whoever you were (in section D, main stand, at the back of the lower section) I clocked you as did Butcher. Your comments showed that you knew feck all about fitba. Do Butcher & his players a favour and stay away. I hope TB reads this, well done today. Right selection, right tactics, good encouragement.Which is more than can be said for yon mainstander.
  17. New faeces? great idea Charles. Tell you what, join it up with my favourite TV idea. Get the hidden camera, practical joke thing (you've been framed etc) but don't stop when you get to the significant injury/ death bit. Call it "youv'e been maimed" That would work!! It's on the same level as this X Factor pi*h. Gladatorial contest, posh people decide the fates of the fechters according to the baying hordes, that sort of thing. Bu only if they knock out the twins and electrocute them live (pardon the pun) on stage. Hair stand on end? You betcha......
  18. Nah, never did, never will. as many posters have said, any team in the top 7 in this league can beat the other, so there's no way I can see them pulling away from everybody else. They might sign people in January but, so will everybody else! Mind you, if they do get up, that's a fair few easy points for the arabs!
  19. we were not actually that far off sneaking something on saturday, and the problem is that some think we should be rodgering this lot rather than recognising that they are no a bad team and some thought needs putting into this. It's not as if they are Morton. Like the last league game against the g*p*s, we were too narrow and static at the back. All they had to do was spread the ball wide and we were in doo doo. This might explain why Rossco is looking somewhat disengaged at times. If that channel wasn't open to them, they had another easy option through the middle of a fairly lightweight midfield (proctor, sanchez, imrie) and in both these cases they then came up against a fragile centre back pair (Narius & grantie). I was nearly incontinent when Stephen Craig came on, as he was exactly the kind of direct runner we couldn't cope with. Relating this to Butcher's rant (and that's what it was, coming just after kicking doors, allegedly) I can see the frustrations. It's just a question of who he picks on, but he sets the team up and chose the wrong options on saturday. It's obvious that there are some mince teams in this league that we can all out attack against, but C*unt* ain't one of them. Lionel? Where are you Lionel?........
  20. Was right behind the goal and didnae see any half bottle getting chucked. If I had, I might have jumped on after it I was so fed up at watching that p*sh.There was a red condiment bottle, though but that wouldn't have done the job for me. I thought that with a decent spine to the team, we might have been ok. As it was......... we need a decent centre back and someone that can score. Now.
  21. :024: Good effort. Work Half 7-12, 1216 train to Mingwall, Mallard Sesh, Fitba', Then home, Attempt to sober up a bit, Meet herself, Quiet night in with X Factor.. Hope to f*ck those twins go. Ha! Mine's away on a gurll's night oot, spared having to watch thyat two. I don't think I could stand more half-wits after the multitudes that I'll find in Dingwall. Bring it on.
  22. Yer right mannie. I don't think I've ever seen him have a decent game. He can chuck himself around a bit but thats it really. No worries.
  23. I heard it kicked off because the stewards were trying to throw Donald Findlay out for singing and he was protesting that he was just shouting because some gypo had nicked his flute. I hope they get a (large) fine, and end up even more in the red than they were at the start!
  24. 12.16 train, meet up with my buddy/ gadgie mate, burger, beer, fitba, hame, dinner, fitba on telly, celebration bottle of red, kip. That's my saturday planned.
  25. Bear in mind that it does take them some time to calculate the numbers on the abacus.
