Given the squad we have, looking at guys like Sow or Quitongo seems odd - we have the PCA for Sutherland and look to be well covered for forward players & wingers - with youngsters like McGregor & Machedo capable of providing cover. Looks like other clubs have looked at our recent EGM and public declaration of finances and see ICT as either not being able to compete with wages for PCA's or that there's bargains to be had and willing to test our resolve (assuming the club still has to cut costs). Look like a 5 figure compensation(s) incoming and first players out the door, wouldn't be surprised with a similar arrangement from both clubs as RC & Dundee are clubs with cash (well more than us). Totally different scenario. Tierney was not only established at Celtic for many campaigns domestic and Europe but also Scotland, in addition everyone sees him as on a par at LB to Robertson (when playing for Scotland). Given how Robertson has developed and is so pivotal to Liverpool with his runs & assists it was inevitable other big clubs would look at his equal and wonder if he can give the same - Celtic played it well and pushed to the £25M mark - he's probably not worth that figure but its a decent gamble for Arsenal when they see how Robertson is now a £40-50M player or more.

The best scenario would really be to put Alloa away first time of asking then draw one of the OF away (home as a 2nd option) and get knocked out. Maximise the cash income from the cup while being out early enough to avoid fixture congestion and fatigue/injuries later in the season. Given the fees for Tierney and dembele, even Armstrong Celtic are the best at getting good fees and their sell on clauses but realistically somewhere around the £10-14m figure would be great business. A Leicester swoop for several Scottish based players wouldnt be a surprised as Brenda knows the players, qualities and in the crazy world of English transfer fees this market offers potential bargains - McGregor, Christie, morelos (if anyone will gamble on his temper) and even McKenna.

Storey is a victim of being a player with pace so in the world of Scottish football where having a big target man is still the aim for some managers he's constantly being played out of position on the wing - yes he can get past players but unfortunately he doesn't have the final ball of a winger. His best goal scoring record came with ICT played through the middle - for some reason since then no manager in his career has given him that chance again. Play him in the Keatings position behind White as nothing from the performances of Keatings so far has indicated he has made that position his own other than is very small flashes.

About time storey for a chance through the middle not sure why managers persist playing him on the wingwhen his greatest success period with goals was up top using his pace to get in behind. For some reason white is always first pick as a striker but he can't jump or head the ball which given his size is poor use of his potential.

Not that I see any reason for it, but if offers come in for players looking to leave in the summer like Donaldson we would take 5 figures sums I'm sure. Any replacements would either be from within (if the youth are good enough) or use the settlement to bring in a loanee. It's unlikely we will see signings, afterall in the summer we brought in more players than anyone was expecting and with the league title being out of grasp we are aiming for play-offs so the squad we need now just has to maintain the quality to remain in the top 4.

Numerically it may sound a lot but bear in mind - the £120m pa TV revenue, kit deals, kit sponsors, stadium sponsors/naming, prize monies, merchandising - each amounting to £10M's pa - the circa £20M from fans is less than 10% of EPL clubs income. Point being they can afford to give away free tickets as its inverse to the ICT model where a huge portion of club income is fan revenue so effort to maximise sales is higher priority.
