Next Manager
On one hand its progressive that a club our size has a DoF, especially given our position, while on the other and given the questionable recruitment is it nepotism keeping a pal in a job with a regular paycheck or our inability to pay off any remaining contract giving us no choice? With JR still at the club the idea of paying an additional managerial salary clearly hasnt worked, although back to previous point is there some nepotism at play here too? My understanding (perhaps wrong as not in the game) is that the DoF handles all matters not football (recruitment, contracts, staffing etc) but related to the end product? In that case are we really seeing anything more with the addition of BD than we would with SK or PS if one of those had stepped up? Some of the names on here are mental and genuinely if we got rid of BD my worry with the current regime is we will get more of the same - some ex-Dundee, Hearts, Rangers man (from the late 90s era) who's out of work with limited success coaching in the game and either looking to rebuild or get back into management. Step forward - Allan Johnstone, Gary Locke, Barry Smith, Neil McCann (again).......feel free to add to the list yourself to become more depressed at the thought!!!

Scot Gardiner and backroom staff - Is a big clear out required? Issue is obviously way bigger than just Dodds...
Yes, certain individuals have been at the club too long coinciding with several managerial failures or inabilities to meet the expected targets from the club and fans. Fresh blood is needed. While we see questionable tactics we also need to look at are there issues with new mangers getting ideas across and are there some stale minds within the set up who 'have always done things this way mentality'? While you may accept it, this wont happen. Reaching the play-offs or maintaining that chance will be enough to keep him in a job and if we (somehow) manage that objective it will paper over the cracks enough to get another shot next season.

Michael Gardyne has left the club
Be interesting when he lines up against us......will there be any retaliations on the park which may lead to a red card and a potential several match ban. Lets hope not but may be a tough call the manager has to make as I think MG is the sort of guy that would use this to taunt and get a competitive advantage no matter the morality.

January additions?
One exiting which will allow one in as a replacement with hopes to shuffle things around and depending on other movements up to another 3, but likely may just be the one. If we have any expiring players in the summer and there can be deals agreed with prospective parties then I guess that will allow for new blood. Doubt there will be too much to get excited by this window TBH (which is fine).

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
If he arrives does the sale of the canteen microwaves count as transfer income this summer?

Robbo Moving On...
Be an interesting and progressive move for the mens game. Sadly I think the first signs of the team struggling and any female coach would bring out the mindless morons with antiquated sexist and derogatory comments.....regardless of which club. Given the names of candidates mentioned then I think she has as much if not more demonstration of capability and comes across on her pundit work as tactically knowledgeable and a good communicator.

Robbo Moving On...
Never understood this logic by so many fans in football, many of the most successful managers in history never have any affiliation to the clubs they join. Just because someone played their doesn't mean they will do a good job, much better to find out philosophy, desire and that their direction aligns with the club hierarchy.

Robbo Moving On...
Any appointment has to be within our budget, work with Robbo and want to relocate working in the championship. Lots of unrealistic names on that list IMO and quite a few duds that will offer nothing new or progressive. Surprised Barry Ferguson isn't being considered or likes of Steven Naismith as a young ambitious guy who can learn from Robbo

Scotland Under 21's
A positive to take from this season, let's hope its a catalyst for other youngsters to be given a chance or even stay with the club now the see being championship won't stop being recognised.

Hook the Fish!!
Still big talk of messi walking from barca given their disappointing season, clearly a player on the decline but might manage a season or 2 in the championship

What the hell are we going to do
Disagree we need to win 3 of 3. Dunfermline have the easier run in and it needs to be considered that they could pick up all 9 points - cant have the mentality that others will do us favours. I think its unlikely we will catch Dundee (even if we beat them as I would expect Raith to rest some players) now so its a straight shoot out for 4th IMO

Buzzing for County game
Yip, day before the game and you can clearly see the heavy interest from the CTO massive................

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
The club will want to be delaying contract talks or committing for as long as possible until we know which league we will be in and budgets which is also somewhat dependent on Covid restrictions. Fortunately for us most clubs will be in a similar position so unless there is a desire to sign a specific player we will see a lot of guys heading towards expiry leaving the club options both within and elsewhere in the leagues. Overall unless we gain Premiership status then its to be expected the squad will be trimmed and some of the older and (probable) higher earners like Doran, Vincent, Storey may well be away.

Robbo's interim - Neil McCann
It would be a welcomed return IMO, like they did by showing the highlights of games from the 'lower' leagues during the period 2012-16.........
-
Robbo's interim - Neil McCann
Never said whether its 'fair enough' or otherwise - just advising for those who wish to see him on TV talking about football involving clubs from Scotlands largest provincial city where he may or may not mention ICT.

Robbo's interim - Neil McCann
Our interim manager is on Sportscene this wknd as a pundit talking about some game in Glasgow...............

Colt teams...............again (but only 2 clubs of course)
This is back again, presumably with the OF now hoping the difficult financial situations in the lower leagues can be manipulated to win a vote in favour https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56412970 Why is it only OF teams that push this and are mentioned, why not allow any club to consider offering a 'B team' for voting - the idea of adding 2 spots for HL & LL is just a gesture to placate IMO. We have seen in the Challenge cup that the colts aren't always that great and this will deprive young players from those clubs going on loan to the very lower leagues they are hoping to enter and get experience of not just playing at that level but interacting with senior players - creating a youngster bubble just to try showcase how good they are or bring senior players back to fitness without having to accommodate in the first team is undoubtedly just another example of the OF looking to get further competitive advantage. My opinion is that the idea needs to be put to bed permanently so it disappears for good or Rangers & Celtic (and any other team looking for colts) leave the Scottish league set up (going anywhere that can take them) and the open spaces in the system are open for application to new clubs (f which they can apply in whatever guise to start at the bottom) and see if the members choose to accept.

The Rangers
Any videos, would be (potentially even) better than even watching Caley fans pulling players down in the box at Hampden!!!! Glasgow = Smiles better and all that
-
Robbo's interim - Neil McCann
To those seeing this as positive is that because of the excellent coaching credentials being brought in or just the fact we have plugged a gap of 2 missing staff with a second bum on a seat.
-
Robbo's interim - Neil McCann
Where's the im grabbing my coat and making a run for the hills before this goes completely to ****. Is this the banter years in full swing now....... I'm all for new coaches and ideas but none of this seems progressive and at best is just clutching at straws hooking anyone that is free, local and importantly acquainted with the current regime in the hope something works.
-
Honest assessment
Only if their contract are already expiring - or they get better offers and are told to go for free, we certainly wont be paying off players and giving compensation for terminations. And none are performing to the level where the board can use negative spin and bully boy tactics to move them on like Draper or Warren!!!!

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
From BBC today Ross County manager John Hughes says Inverness Caledonian Thistle tried to re-sign striker Billy Mckay in January. (Press and Journal - subscription required) Would it have made a difference - perhaps; but last time BM came back he wasnt as prolific as his first stint, so while it may be seen by some as a coup through rose tinted specs I'm not sure being older ad having a team with less creative talent we would have got much more than a frustrated figure cast alone up front begging for decent service. Least it shows for those moaning the club have actually try - but we will assume the fund that would have taken are now going to paying McCann.
- New manager next season?

Scottish Cup
Maybe but we should consider defining game of our season IMO. Win and hopefully get a much needed confidence boost and a few goals that coupled with the chance to play local rivals might up the mood and allow to kick on. Loose and I think it'll show heads gone, morale done and confirms direction we are heading.
