  1. More good photos I would not have wanted to go up the tower to take them would be late 80's early 90's. Photo 2 shows the BT temporary yard in Henderson Drive (known as Tenco by the staff) we moved there from Burnett Road (now the police station) about 1985. Photo 3 shows Hangar 5 on Seafield Road (the black shed) which was the store and cable yard, in the early 80's they built a new building within the old hangar. The new building was opened for all external staff in Seafield Road early 90's and is still in operation.
  2. I thought we would have home games against Aberdeen and Celtic
  3. A hereditary peer was giving his opinion when a newby left-winger accused him of never having used a bus. The peer said he'd rectify that at the end of proceedings that very day. "Sure enough, he was seen to leave the House and go to the nearest bus stop. He got on the first bus that arrived and said to the driver, '24 Russell Square, please'."
  4. Having never herd of a DKW before I had a look on Wiki and after reading about them I think the Anglia 105e would have been a much better car. Glad you are not getting bored weeman
  5. You have been out of town with your camera as well I can see another thread starting ................Second Row Holidays.
  6. I am just approaching 60 previously supported Inverness Caledonian FC and you are talking nonsense
  7. They are still trading now at Harbour Road in the old Frasers Auction Mart.
  8. Right direction it's over the bridge but a place you would go shooting and fishing
  9. Looks like old Abriachan School the last time I was there was about 1972 on a High School trip in the old Bedford bus with Mr Marwick.
  10. Gringo I was not upset just disappointed! Like all political parties we don't give up the SNP support independence so we will keep trying just like all parties in Scotland.
  11. You have my support Oddquine I could not imagine you as a LIB/Dem
  12. Good to see the videos again that's what we need today nothing less than 3 points!
  13. IBM

    Strip

That would do with a black armband for the Jegies
  14. You are right but the Prime Minister is just about to file for divorce
  15. Well Laurence that makes me a romantic person and I am happy with that
  16. My thought was Ford Anglia 105e but that is not an Anglia badge, the bumper has large overriders, number plate in middle not below and the indicators in the grille are different so I have to say I am not sure on this one! The registration SST111 was registered between July 1961 & March 1962 most likely August-September.
  17. From left Riley Elf of Wolseley Hornet, Standard 10, Vauxhall Viva HA, Hillman Super Minx estate leaving square, Austin Cambridge behind, VW van on right with Singer Gazelle in front. The front of the station is under construction and is going to be again starting this year.
  18. I am sure there will be many of us going down to the tower at the castle when it opens at Easter to try and get better photos
  19. Another good photo showing the old youth hostel at Viewhill Gate which is likely to be the last we will see of it! The building that is now the Castle Tavern looks like a house but I think it may have been offices and Brian Macgregors Garage down the Haugh, the white gable end with the roof to the left in front of the open grass area is the old rifle range.
  20. What weaklings they would not be able to beat Ashie House from the High School!
  21. I hope you are wrong Bob because Foran & Rice will still be here at the end of the season.
