  1. I see he has been released by Sheffield Wednesday. Don't think it ever really worked out for him down there. Wages may be an issue but he would be a great creative midfielder if we could get him. No rumour behind this I just think he'd be a great signing. If we don't go for him Aberdeen will!!
  2. Delighted for Barry, the guy is a genuine ICT legend :clapping03:
  3. Obviously the Huckerby story is made up..................but I have heard a rumour before about Andrew Cave-Brown coming here. Watch this space!
  4. Why Steve Crawford??? Has done absolutley nothing in the 1st division and nothing since he came back to Scotland actually. Mark Burchill seems to be dismissed by people on here as garbage even though he scored 15 goals this season and as usual was out for a few months. In my opinion and I said this last summer as well, potentially the new Dargo!!!
  5. Theres enough people talking sh1t about him to start that thread!!
  6. Totally agree with stomach, Niculae has been discussed to death and everyone understands everyone elses point of view. We don't need yet another topic from the same person going on and on about him. I'm half expecting the "NICULAE TOILET WATCH" thread next!
  7. If we sign Emmanuelle we'll definatley be going down next season
  8. I think Niculae is a great player, a little selfish at times but a great player. The problem is we were offered him and we couldn't really turn down someone of that quality. But we cant figure out where to play him to get the best out of him. If we do that over the summer plus add a few other bodies we may well have a good season next year. Remeber when Asprilla signed for Newcastle. Unquestionably a great player but somehow they couldn't figure out where to play him and they lost the league that year. I think we might have a similar situation with Marius!
  9. Will that mean Marius is on his way now too :024:
  10. It'll never be said but the referee would have been told beforehand that he will have to go easy on Gretna. The 2nd "penalty" claim on Imrie for example. I've not seen it but every newspaper has it down as virtually a stonewaller. Hypothetically if Imrie went down and the ref said penalty, the goalkeeper would have to be sent off and be banned for 2 games I think, not 100% sure on that but something like it. Poor old Gretna don't have another goalkeeper at the clubfor the next 2 games and the rest of Saturdays match. (I believe at one point they were talking about registering the club mascot as a keeper) So it is easier on the referee and Gretna and the SPL to book Imrie for diving. In saying that I do feel sorry for the 200 or so genuine Gretna fans with no team next season. But the sooner they're put out of there misery the better!
  11. He scored for a team going to the Euros against a team going to the Euros. Of course people are going to take notice, especially when in European terms he plays for a minnow club. I'm not saying we'll get ?500K but we should get a decent fee for him, which would be good for all parties.
  12. Well done Marius :clapping03: Will probably make other clubs sit up and take notice of him, but deserves to play with better players. I agree with IHE he has no great pace, in a slower league he'll be a great player. Would not be surprised to see him move to the continent in the summer. Good news all round I think, hopefully a ?500k + transfer fee for him too!
  13. Good to see we never had a shot in the 2nd half. Great effort. I think some of the players seem to think the object of the game is just to kick the ball as hard, far and long as possible. Shame that a good passing technical player like Vigurs will have to change his game just to lump the ball forward. But at last its happening, if you constantly buy lower division players you become a lower division team. Heard Brew was at the Brechin game midweek. Sounds promising! :029:
  14. Oh good, what a great day for the club :tic01:
  15. Why are we so desperate to hold onto Duncan. He wasn't totally dreadful yesterday but again he wasn't good. As I said elsewhere... holding us to ransom to make himself highest paid player
  16. I think we're being slightly hysterical in saying sack Brewster. BUT every season we don't play for the last 3 months of the season, the mentality is job done, we've avoided relegation no need to try now. I believe last season we were beaten, no thrashed by Dunfermline 3-1 at home around March time to start their revival. Also we never ever start games well, we always seem to play slightly better in the 2nd half, due to an obvious boot up the erse at halftime. I am fed up watching this dross week in week out. If I didn't have a season ticket i'd consider not going back this season (i'd obviously have to though) Its the total lack of trying something different! We put on a brilliant show to beat Falkirk 4-2 in September. Yesterday was like watching a bad Highland League team, just hoof hoof hoof. Its not just the defenders who do it as well, Duncan plays it back all the time and if he doesn't................hoof. Pathetic, get back to passing the ball. This is not acceptable any more!!!
  17. absolutley f****** pathetic again Embarassing long ball sh1t from start to finsh, deserved to lose, no imagination, creativity nothing Duncan, highest paid player
  18. Hearts were superior in every department, if it was 6-0 we could have had no complaints.
  19. Was waiting for the inevitable Niculae debate to crop up. Best player easily in a blue and red shirt yesterday. He may be overpaid but he battled, competed, tracked back and chased for everything. Was totally isolated against Hearts and needed help, Cowie did his best but he needed a strike partner to help him. By all accounts had good games against Celtic and Hibs. Shame Dargo left, him and Dargs up front would have been perfect!
  20. Tree your also entitled to your opinion, but one of our best players?? :024: He's not even 1 of our best midfield players. He seems to have this defence of he's a great reader and defensive player??? Is he??? I fail to see what he contributes, I've never heard anyone around me at games saying "great tackle or interception by duncan" or "nice pass by Duncan". In my opinion he slows everything down, plays the ball back when theres no need to and at least once a game he creates a chance for the other team with a wayward pass. The ludicrous lunge into Nade yesterday was laughable when he easily could have stayed on his feet and booted it out for a corner! Give Vigurs a chance, he's going to do no worse than whats on show already.
  21. Duncan doesn't deserve a new contract, never mind holding us to ransom about it. Absolutley terrible again yesterday, I really don't like having a go at players but he has been awful for months now. He's a central midfielder and struggles to play balls 10 yards. He does the dirty unnoticed things??? Everyone in the team does that, even Marius and Dennis were chasing back into their own half yesterday. Duncan is no big loss, if he leaves he won't even be in the SPL next season, I couldn't possibly think who'd want the guy!! Maybe he could go back to Forfar!
  22. Thats Duncans move to Celtic fecked :015:
  23. Thought so too, but McGeady is only 21 as well who would have thought it!
  24. Am I mistaken or do Celtic only have 2 under 21 players in there squad for tonights game? Are you not supposed to have 3?
  25. I guarentee some of the players are on ?1k + a week Perhaps Marius wasnt the best out there and the best we could get. I would look to the previous management regime and their total lack of scouting. I remember reading in July about Charlie going through CV's!!!! I mean seriously why was he not out sooner looking at players, thats why we ended up with Marius! Brewster has been out and about though, expect some decent signings at the end of the season. If I remember correctly Dargo was brought in by Brewster and very early as well, end of May time. Hopefully we get a similar quality player in this summer. I would expect Marius, Deano, Wyness, Hart, Zander and possibly Barry to be leaving in the summer, plus we have a bit of money from transfers and freed up wages. Big changes this summer!!
