split: Play for country of birth ?
Mccarthy and mcgeady are scottish. As simple as that! McGeady has only just turned 22, why is he expecting to just waltz straight into the Scotland 1st team when he's 18/19. So He just plays for Ireland instead. Maybe the Scottish FA in some way are to blame. But most of the blame is at McGeady's door. There is an easy way to sort this if your born in scotland/ england/ ireland/ south korea etc that is the country you play for, simple as! McGeady and McCarthy should take a leaf out of Ryan Giggs' book!

Barry Ferguson And Allan Mcgregor
Ferguson will be delighted, he's been looking for a way to stop the inconvenience of playing for Scotland for years. But on the flip side Kris Boyd Allan McGregor Barry Ferguson Aiden McGeady James McCarthy We cant qualify for tournaments missing this quality of players. The 1st 3 probably don't deserve to play for scotland. The last 2 are an absolute disgrace.

Ict Hat Tricks
Last I heard which was about a year ago, he was a taxi driver in the Aberdeen area. Lets bring Stewarty back to where he belongs and give him a job coaching our strikers!
-
Ict Hat Tricks
For me Stewarty is still the best striker we ever had at this club. Who remembers his chip against County at Dingwall just after they'd scored to equalise. Outside of the right foot from the corner of the 18 yard box, brilliant! Probably couldn't hack it at the top level, but if you talk about strikers for their level he was the Kris Boyd of the lower leagues, no question about that! Scott McLean was a really good player too!

Ryan Esson Red Card
I think the referee has certainly got this wrong. In my opionion I think Ryan got a touch on the ball. Although even if he hasn't and the player touches it, he actually plays it away from the goal so I don't then think its a goal scoring chance. I think the referee has been extremely harsh in sending him off. Yellow card at most in my opinion.

Grant Munro
I have lost count now over the past 3 or 4 seasons we have lost goals just through long punts down the centre from the opposition goalkeeper. Bar the offside 1st goal which yes was the linesmans fault. Yet again we have lost a game from a team not even creating a chance for their killer 2nd. Just yet another long ball down the centre. Last week against Kilmarnock Grant AND Pavels were caught out twice in the first 20 minutes and we could have been 2-0 down there. I like Grant for his passion and commitment, but in my eyes he is far too inconsistent and I would be very surprised if he is a 1st team regular under Butcher if, and its now a big if, if we stay in the SPL for next season

Ict -v- Falkirk : Cup Day Thread
Lionel has never played in the SPL bar the past few weeks, he has contributed to our revival. Yes he is always liable for a mistake, but so is Munro and Tokely. I'm not saying he's some Roberto Carlos type figure but he's done as well if not better than hastings! Give the guy a break or is yet another Marius-esqe hate campaign on the go again. If your such a tactical genius why didn't you put your name forward for the job as you seem to think you know everything!!

Ict -v- Falkirk : Cup Day Thread
I don't want to even mention the ref. The main thing from this game i thought was how bad are Falkirk? Esson was barely troubled at all. We defended really well throughout and a stupid mistake has cost us (again!) although I feel Esson perhaps could have got the ball. We just couldn't get a break although we dominated from the minute Lionel was sent off. Not too bothered, usually the team that gets relegated does well in the cup so hopefully Falkirk win it!

Loads Of Noise!
I remember being at the scottish cup semi final against Dunfermline. In my celebrations to Paul Ritchies goal I accidently bumped into the son of the gentleman sitting next to me. (might I add the son was at least 15). So rather than celebrate the fact we'd just taken the lead at a cup semi-final the father stood shaking his head at me. Pathetic! I have to say though my mates seats and I are in section E in the North Stand and it is fairly decent. There are some lads in front of us around the same age and they like a bit of banter and you can basically shout what you want.

The Geography dilemma
Amazingly i'm in full agreement with IHE. Why would someone leave the central belt, especially an SPL player to come and play up here for the same or less money. Its not going to happen, hence we can't attract SPL players!

Hamilton -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Complete rubbish. I have missed 1 home league game this season 1 game against Partick and have been to 4 or 5 away matches. The last time I have seen us score a goal was against Falkirk!!!! Nothing changes week after week. No thought goes into any of our play, just boot it forward and hope for the best. We have nothing up front and we have nobody who can create a chance. I left yesterday wondering where on earth was Don Cowie playing yesterday??? I'm not making excuses for Barrowmans lack of goals but his confidence must be completely shot having being hauled off yet again after not once having a ball into feet. Rooney top goalscorer in the league this season on the bench again, Pathetic. The team on the park is an absolute mess, someone needs to come in make us strong and hard to beat. Hamilton didn't even create a chance and beat us. We were so weak and lacking ideas yesterday, Hamilton didn't even have to play they just wanted it more. I don't think theres many people left who think we can get out of this now and I can't see where else we can go after yesterday. I'll almost say its too late even if a new manager comes in but thats not going to happen anyway. To the board of ICT. Think of the long term, maybe you don't want to get rid of him becasue you'll have to pay him to go. But you are going to lose so so so much more if you let him stay. Look what happened to Dundee Utd when they told him to go, that could be us!

black?
I think Ian Black has done a great job for us and deserves nothing but respect for his commitment to the club over the past 4-5 years as I think he could easily have left for someone else before now. We as a club havent matched his ambitions and deserves at the very least to be playing in the SPL next season. The only problem I have about yesterday. Brewster either has to play him as he's arguably our best midfield player or drop him from the squad. Not have him on the bench with absolutley no intention of using him and making him warm up in front of the supporters like some naughty schoolboy.

ICT -V- Rangers : matchday thread
Went along today as i have done for the past 2 months fully expecting a defeat and got exactally what i expected. 1st goal then the heads go down and after that another performance lacking in passion belief and imagination. 3 things i thought the club were built on through the years to get to the SPL. Once a goal is lost no one looks interested, no chances created and the usual resort to long high balls which never work. I don't like wanting to have to sack a manager and I want Brewster to do well. But he just isn't and he has to go. How can he attract anyone to play for us watching that dross??? Even if we get someone new I just don't know if they'll be able to turn this mess around by the end of the season. I hate saying this but we fully 100% deserve to be bottom

Season Ticket next year
Will be buying season ticket next season, wouldn't want to miss out on our glorious push for the title next season. Allbeit in the 1st Division but it was good fun last time round. Nice to know i'll be able to wander accross from the north to main stand and will be easy to find a seat undercover. Also seems sad to see that 2 3rds of the season tickets will go, apply that to the rest of the support and we'll back down to 1400-1500. Fantastic, thats what the club needs less fans. Honestly, when did we come to this. Depressing

Blackie Thread (merged)
Well as much as everyone loves to blame brewster for everything and i totally agree he's at fault for most. This is the reason we are lying about the bottom of the league, Brown, Dods, Dargo, Wyness, Bayne, Rankin, Niculae now Cowie and Black. We are losing our best players and not replacing them with similar standard players. I would take any of them back now and would have no doubt they could improve the team. The sad fact is if you constantly buy lower league players you become a lower league team. Wheres the money going?

Robbo in charge to face Motherwell?
I don't know what you can gather from this but I did hear Bennett saying to a mate of mine after the game "poor very poor" whilst shaking his head. He didn't say anything else
-
Who would you like as new caley manager?
John Robertson??????????? Employing someone who used to manage us is NOT taking the club forward. I like Robbo he was a good manager and a nice guy but he's had his time at this club. I never wanted Brewster back despite him doing a decent job the first time round. Sorry Robbo but its the same for you as well! We need a new fresh face, someone who doesn't know the club inside out who can come in and make their own decisions and not be afraid to drop established players. We need new ideas and a different approach rather than just the hoof forward. Going back to the old days is not the answer. We've tried that, it doesn't work. Whoever said CC, again a really nice guy but come on lets move the club on

John Robertson (Robbo)
Hi robbo What is the hardest part about attracting players to Inverness and were you ever offered anyone by agents that we would think wow?
-
January who would like to see come & go?
Will be amazed if we take anyone in during January. We keep hearing about how much money the club is making through sponsorship, Niculae etc but as far as i can see we rarely spend it Might as well sign garbage like Ritchie Byrne because at least he's a solid 1st division player and we'll have him bedded in before our first SFL game next season

The two months till January thread
I don't know why people seem to be dreaming of Winters, McPake and Deuchar???? The vast majority of players we sign are from or used to play for Ross County. Expect to see Ritchie Hart back in January at this rate! Pathetic

League Cup Quarter Finals
We played them in a challenge cup tie about 10-12 years ago at forthbank, think we lost 3-1 or 3-0 something like that. Amazed ICTChris didn't remember the specifics!!
-
Niculae
So bored of this, I just want us to get the money so we can start signing players. I assume Marius must entitled to around ?50,000 - ?60,000 as that would seem about the difference between the Kaiser and Dinamo fees if Marius waved his cut. But I can't believe we are going to fooled by the easiest trick in the book. We didn't get him to sign anything to say that he was going to wave his cut???????? This beggars belief!! Whats to stop Marius saying now " they asked me to wave my cut?? Away and feck yourself boys" Honest to god I can't believe how naive and amatuer we are.
