I certainly dont think its a lack of respect on Butchers part. Tokely is over 30, losing his pace and is not proved himself at CB at SPL level. Dont get me wrong he is an absolute legend and would love him to stay. But Arsne Wenger only offers players over 30 1 year deals. I think with Tokely it makes sense.....sadly!

Looks like we might have to wait to pre-season to see any new faces according to the P&J today. Says we'll be hoping to get a lot of trialists in again. Which obviously points to free transfers.

This is the second time this has happened to Dundee so I have no sympathy whatsoever. They were spending money SPL teams couldn't afford, hence the reason they had Harkins and Griffiths when there were SPL teams interested. In my eyes its a form of cheating and its not the first time they've done it. Feel a little sorry for the fans if there club goes to the wall. But they weren't complaing when Canniggia and Ravanelli were playing for them, let alone Harkins and Griffiths!

Have heard Butcher was trying to tie up loose ends for Duff on Saturday. Source is pretty reliable so I would this to be confirmed in the next couple of days if he decides to sign

Why does every dundee fan think they're a big club. Nothing to justify it, almost out of business a couple of seasons ago and bottled it to a "tiny club with no good to the game" I dare say we'll try to enjoy parkhead and ibrox when your off to forthbank, us being the smaller team and all!

I dont think we should be getting to upset here. I think that there will be celebrations and pitch invasions by various clubs' fans over the next few weeks. I'm pretty sure they wont all be fined/reprimanded etc. On the fans spilling onto the pitch celebrating a goal. I wouldnt worry too much as it seemed to happen every time in the SPL when somebody scored against us in Inverness.

Yeah exactally, obviously it was all Rooney and Butchers fault and obviously the top scorer in the league is actually the worst striker in the league. Maybe we'd be running away with the league if we had Zadi up front and the Samoan rugby team at the back. Just commenting the way I seen it, its my personal opinion

To be fair to one of the above posts, what they are saying about Rooney is complete garbage. He is the only player that looks like he CAN score a goal. Sanchez is the biggest waste of shirt i've seen in a long time. He gets himself into good positions but 100% of the time chooses the wrong option......5 or 6 times he picked the wrong option today and its no surprise that every week he's the first player substitued. I've also stopped complaining about ref's because every one of them is rubbish. He contributed to the time wasting today, moving free kicks back a yard here and pulling play back when we were in good positions there. The penalty to me was laughable, but fully expected when you see his performance over the 90 mins

Decent player when he could be bothered. Didn't look like he could be bothered in the 1st Division and looked like he thought he was better than it. A total non shock when he played well against Motherwell as he was desperate to impress against SPL opposition. Only surprise is that it wasn't St Mirren he went to as we seen Gus Macpherson and Andy Millen heading out after that game.

I would be surprised if Barrowman were "bleeding the club dry" I'm sure it will be in his contract that if we went down from the SPL then his wages drop. Surely the board aren't that careless. Although what the fans and people who care about the club and city want, is vastly different from what the self obsessed man who runs the city wants. If he can't be a success he wont let anyone else be one!

Probably due to the fact if we lose our next 2 games our chances of getting promoted go from 30% down to 1%. I think it just shows how little money we have, signing the players on big wages up now doesn't make sense. I actually think if we lose our next 2 games those players mentioned above could be away in January for a wee bit of cash!

We might as well give shinnie a chance. We cant beat anyone in the top half but we aint going to get relegated either. Might as we start planning for next season now when we'll have to play the youngsters!!

It was no where near as bad as everyone seems to think. Take away the 1st 10 minutes of the second half and we were probably the best team over the 90 minutes. As Chris says above we are just so fragile defensively. Almost every match there is an Esther Ranzen moment (your gums come back over your teeth) I think everyone thought Zadi was the weak link and do be fair he was an accident waiting to happen, but all over the back 4 we look very dodgy. I think we're 2 players away from potentially having a great team. Firstly strip Munro of the captaincy and get a solid CB to play next to him, what we've needed for about 4 years. We also desperatley need a Paul Cherry figure in CM.
