We were in my mind the better team in the first half, the standside linesman took a while to wake up as their first goal was at least 2 yds offside, we got stronger as the game went on and took a deserved equaliser after some good work by Imrie on the right. With Roy on for Imrie after half time we lost a bit of width and danger, a couple of breaks that we did not take advantage of cost us as we were now struggling to keep posession and Utd took the lead, more subs and we were on the back foot for the rest of the game, cue Dicky Hastings for some trademark blooters up the park to nobody but Dodd's heid. Anyway Lionel did pretty well, Cox is good and will be a big player for us this season, Sanshuz is like Juanjo only quicker and i hope they sign him as he could be a perfect foil for Foran. Going by the first half - despite the shyte officials best attempts at fecking up a game of football i am much more confident about our future.

I feel this season could be a bit of a memory test, remember we beat blah blah etc etc, just glad its not an away trip ( for the team that is)

Cant believe some of the names being talked about as being possibles for a return to ICT. Juanjo??????? feckin has-been. Bayne??????? scores about 3 a season - no thanks Denzil??????? a hero for us 3 years ago- now past it. Miller.... Hamilton... Winters.. the names are obviously picked from imagination/memories and not reality. We need decent somebody to link with Foran, maybe Odi can do this when he returns because cant see Barro & Rooney doing it for us.

Naelifts has always preferred the smaller grounds and 'closer' atmosphere that comes with it, sometimes i can agree, sometimes not. Going back to Johndo's view, the club had 5 years to adapt to SPL behind the scenes and in my mind did not quite reach that height, whether it was lack of money i dont know, the smacking of Savage with the big wooden Sutherland mallet didnt help as he at least had a bit of vision. Can we regroup? possibly... i am looking forward to us being a bigger fish in the slightly smaller pond for a change, and will enjoy going to some smaller grounds for a change where the ref cannot help but hear abuse.

Quite ironic as Imries shyte performance on the last game contributed to our downfall.

Imrie is hardly going to provide goals for us and Odi is not really proven as a scorer - yet. And as we have seen yesterday, apart from Foran we are pretty ineffective at scoring, hope Butch sorts this out or we're not going anywhere the promotion battle. On the plus side, this is the first time most these players have played together in anger, and the two right sided players were young but very keen and should be good prospects for the future.
