We have not been very impressive at all in the league ( apart from Dundee ) both home games have been dire, for a team with championship aspirations we are looking pretty poor. I hope this is down to lack of experience from the new players and they can gell together and improve the form, Rossco and Imrie will be key players for us this season and i cant wait to see them back in the team.

Trouble is we are a club with stated ambition to get right back into the SPL, we cant afford to ' see how he goes' we also need to see which of these new signings are up to the challenge of a promotion chasing side. Hastings will not be missed, Lionel had a howler last saturday, but so did most of the team, and we also have good cover for him in a young lad named Shinnie who impressed me in any game if have seen him playing so far. My concerns are Stratford & Sanchez, with a bit of doubt on Eagles, ie lack of first team football which has been pointed out on another thread, its a lack of experience that fecked us up last week, too many players didnt know where to look for guidance on the park.

Aye... very good it would cost us ?lots to buy off these players contracts then we would have no money!!! The random chucking of names into the frame is pointless, most of them as pysh.

Cant see Hamilton being an SPL club after the end of the season... and Hastings aint going to prevent that.

Its just proof that the standard of the officials in the lower leagues is shocking, they are feckin hopeless and i can see more controversial decisions arrriving soon...

I had us down for a 5-6 goal win before the game, after going 3-0 up Stranraer seemed to get tighter at the back as though they decided 3 was enough. However we missed a barrowload of chances after that with Foran the main culprit, my man of the match was a toss up between Shinnie(great prospect) and Hayes who looked like is getting fotter and sharper. Also i a positive note the defence is looking very steady and Granty / Narius are playing with a bit more understanding of each other. 3 goals should have been 7, but happy anyway, beats watching the missus watching corrie.

I hope we dont underestimate the opposition again, remember Brews cockups? Butcher wont take this game lightly and will probably start with a strong side and make changes if we get a couple of goals.

Its a common occurence that at home the crowd is usually pretty quiet, except for local derbies etc, the crowd at Dunfermline last week were really bad except for a wee gang at the half way line. Inverness have the same problem where it only seems that section F/G areas making noise, however you cant blame fans for the teams perfomance and their inabilty to score a goal, saturday was a failure caused by the teams failure to break down a defence, in my opinion it was too much change too soon, and nobody able to get behind their defence.

Seesm to me there were too many changes to the team, The defence was excellent, and could have gone 3 at the back easily. Midfield were a bit clueless at times and never got behind the Ayr defence which was going to be the only way to get a win. Subs were mysterious, Proc was doing ok Stratford was not imposing himself in the game and seemed to jog about mostly, taking him off for Roy would have changed the game in out favour if we had gone 3-5-2 with Proc pushing up the right in support of Ross/Eagle/Hayes. Oh.. welcome to lower league officials.. so feckin dire its scary.

Did the trust not try to get volunteers to paint some stuff at the stadium, and very few people responded so it was cancelled?

Me and Mannie will volunteer to check out local watering holes for quality of drink/food/travel distance to the stadium. Oh.. on a serious note, the bar in the main stand at East End park was excellent, they do food during the week and match days the place is bouncing, cheap drink and no far to get to yer seat!! I'm sure ICT could use the Kingsmills suite to something similar, what views and handy for parking too.

Those who were attending in our past life ( in div one) will of course remember there was only one stand, so not much singing/shouting was heard, we can also not expect many away fans this season, apart from the unwashed from Dingwall and possibly Dundee. So, all the noise will be from what we make it chaps! bang the feckin drums!!!!!

I wouldnt scoff at that, First home game for the leauge!! lets get the banter going!! I cant wait, I wont get much sleep the night!!! I'd have Roy Mcbain in there instead of Stratford, far better grafter and more experience in the scottish game, that midfield has played very little first team football in the last 18 months. Not convinced about Stratford at the mo' seemed to fade away last week, and quite a few stray passes - is that not why Russell got dropped?
