Thats it, bring us back to earth eh...... Anyway according to the High News, Bennett is full of praise for Stoke in the way they have handled the Rooney issue, ' Who have allowed freed under 21 striker Rooney to join ICT in the Danish tour' Does this mean he has been freed by Stoke and they only need compensation because he's under 24?
  2. Why didnt you say Brewster? He was re-hired because those that matter at ICT thought he could do a job for us again, his time at Dee utd was a bad experience for him where he had a battle with overpaid ego swollen players. Now dont jump down my throat for backing Brew/Grassa/DS, i had reservations about his return, but looking at the bigger picture there were not very many available managers out there!

Agreed... cant believe Brewster has taken this long to acknowledge the glaring holes in our defence.
  4. Pretty lacklustre stuff, not much entertainment for the few fans who turned up. ICT players again looked slow and struggled to string passes together, the worry is : 1. Mcguire did no bad, but how will he fare against SPL oppo. 2. Barrowman did no bad, but got no service to the feet at all.. this needs sorted. 3. Mikes position is safe. i'm assuming Esson is rusty, he looked a bit suspect on clearing the ball. 4. Rossco is definitely needing ball practice and how to kick it to our own players. good things: 1. Imrie looks quick and could be a good player for us this season. 2. Black will be a key player for us, he's looking good. 3. Barry came on and we looked dangerous on the right all of a sudden, up till then we were sloooooowwwwww. 4. Vigurs is improving game to game, he is going to be a good footballer. How you thought Russell had a good game is beyond me :017: :017: :017: :017: :017: :017: :017: he was so far of the pace it was an embarrassment at times, he is a new nick name ' pass back Dunc '.

Ehhhh, hold on a mo..... its feckin Brora, and with brew playing it kind of give you an idea of the opposition. Rory is still gash, its just that he's found his level.
  6. You could use that statement about a lot of players, some playeers have good games some dont, thats the way it is unfortunatley. Evans and Roy are different types of players, Evans has not shown much to convince me he is worth signing.
  7. Yes.... Hastings is gash..... end of story. Proc aint a central defender. Most of the others were no bad, but the defence looks like the end of last season....scary
  8. I cant really understand where all the complaints are coming from, as Gordy says we are now quite estabished in the SPL, we have beaten Cetlic and Rangers, we have our moments on the pitch ( good & bad) Cast your minds back to april 2004, when our average gate was 1900 or so, from there we have a pretty good stadium ( which meets our needs ) and is not that far from the city centre. The board have done something about the tickets for youngsters, which i applaud them for and only the club shop lets the side down at the moment. The stewarding is an area which could do with a review, Mr Smith quotes the SPL rules which he has to abide by, however, it may be that a 'blind eye' is used for section G to some extent as it is for the away fans of most teams who stand for most of the game. I'm happy with ICT so far and i'm proud to support them.
  9. Could have made a good partnership with that Brazilian ex Celtic player.....Rafael Sheidt!
  10. The tickets are now too expensive for anyone over 16, i for one am not looking forward to having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get enough money to buy myself a season ticket next year. What with the 'credit cunch' and all that, less and less people will even consider spending ?25 to see ICT play St mirren in the middle of winter. I know this isn't an option in the minds of most people posting on this site, but its getting more and more difficult to see your team play. Another factor in fans not arriving regularly through the gate is obviously tv deals. Another is the players lack of a) appreciation and b) interaction with the fans (excluding a few like roscoe and marius). Another is the staium being so far away from the metropolis of Inverness town centre, making getting to games even more difficult. We are destined never to have big crowds regularly but if you look at teams such as Dundee, Livingston and Dunfermline pulling in crowds as low as 1500 (albeit in the 1st division) and Aberdeen only achieving maximum attendance once in the last 15 years or something, we're not doing too badly. What is it really you are complaining about? the players? the stadium? the management? the style of play? or is it just the money...
  11. Possibly.... but then you are too young to find out :016: :015:
  12. I have been told that there will be a TV camera crew in Inverness from the central belt on tuesday to cover the County game, they will seemingly be at the Innes bar before the game to get fans view!!! why... i dont know and i wasnt told any more.
  13. Dont be picky.. :016: Its a well known fact that i dont rate Hastings, defence or going forward, we leak goals from the left back area quite a lot, presume thats why brew took on another left back and not another central defender, Hastings use of the ball going forward usually ends up with a punt and lost possession and him nowhere. Saying that i'm not convinced about our pairing of Granty & Mcguire, Grant is not the player he was when Dods was there, whether its the captaincy or something else i dont know, but there is a lack of confidence in the back three, thats for sure.
  14. I had considered that one... It would be normal to have that kind of clause written into a contract where a ' big player' would be released if a ' big ' club came calling, we have to wait and see, personally i hope he stays, but i cant see it.
  15. I really dont think our young defenders are good enough, but we will have to wait and see, how long has brew/cc/brew perservered with 'youth/young talent' Rory? Starting the season with last seasons defence will be criminal, i dont think Granty and Mcguire play well together, Hastings will offer nothing going forward as usual, so we could be losing goals from the start.... i hope not, but i have concerns.
  16. It all smacks of 'make do' to me, Djebi-jabby will cover central defence, maybe Russell at right back....gives a break! proper players are required, maybe you have short memories but we shipped a lot of goals last season, this is the one area that i thought Brewster would address.... obviously not. So far we've signed a second div player, and a dodgy ex county left back.
  17. Not convinced about that scenario, both these guys are pretty lightweight, and as we saw Proc aint a centre back, and Hastings aint a footballer, even Mcguire is pretty small for a centre back. Surely the management that we really need a Dods/Mann type players who can compete more on the physical sense.
  18. I am more than concerned that Brew has not identified the need for defensive cover, Mcguire was pretty poor last season, with only Proc able to fill in ( in an emergency) we really are in dire need of an experienced defender.
  19. I would build a disabled persons section higher up in the Bridge end with access from the rear of the stand, because where they have to sit to watch a game is criminal. Now they have added a metal pole to the top of the wall, which means the view of the game is reduced even further, i would not be happy, very unhappy indeed.
  20. I've said it before the land at the A9 / A96 future connection / corridor will be of huge value, cant see a developer willing to swap land there for us to relocate to from the Longman. Anyway i'm quite happy whre we are.
  21. You have far too much time on yer hands Mannie!!!
  22. That looks like trick photography to me... there was never an ICT strip made that wide since Herchy played!
  23. And hopefully not 11 Richard Hastings...
  24. Rory turns like a double decker bus, and takes off like one..... nah Alex, lay off the guiness
  25. Not all that impressed with Barrowmans interview in todays courier eh? He claims ( Barrowman) ' I know that ICT are still after me,and i can understand where they are coming from, but i've got to look after myself and it wouldn't worry me if they decided to look elsewhere' Hmmmm...
