'but I'm still feckin seething at missing out on a weekend in Inverness. ' I'm very sure you will make up for it it the near future Gringo!! Well impressed with the turnout, the bridge end was near full, and it looked like Dons had about 1200-1400 in their end.

Dons end - ticket sales are slow
1000 Dons fans coming through on a monday night when its on tv is good show, there will be a few from this part of the country as well, so we could have 4500-4600 of a crowd. Well it all depends if the locals turn out instead of watching Corrie/Easties.

Wilson Promises More
Exactly!! long ball to Bayne is doing my nut in.

Don's Tactics
Well i for one would like to see us quit the 'long ball to Bayne and see what happens' stuff, after all its does not produce many goals. The way to beat the Dons will be the passing game to the front, we should start with Denzil on, and see what that brings.

new hibees gaffer...
Cant see Pars paying the big compensation fee to release release Robbo from Livvy.

Feedback PLEASE
Cannot comment too much as i didnt manage to go, but from what i have been told from guys who went, Rossco was gash, Duncan started okish but went from bad to worse as he game went on, as you say why didnt we put on Denzil and Zander to try and sneak a win. I saw the highlights on Setanta this morning, we fecked up big time for their goal, Dods and Granty standing at the back post when the cross came over, looked like Rankin and Duncan who tried to clear, Sutton just nodded the ball down.. feckin easy goal. Why were either of our big defenders not glued to Sutton?

St Mirren V ICT (matchday thread)
Did we miss Blackie then? thought earlier that Duncan was the wrong choice to bring in, at least Hart has played first team footie recently, and did well. Anyway another point away from the bottom team.

St Mirren V ICT (matchday thread)
Ya beauty Dargs!! Hope we can stop them from scoring - unlike the last game st TCS.

St Mirren V ICT (matchday thread)
Wee bit surprised to see Duncan in there from the start, thought Hart did enough last week to merit a start. CC must have decided to go for a more defensive set up.

Punching above our weight?
Andy Walker is a fanny... what do you expect? As for this 'punching above our weight' thing, the pundits are basing this on our club size and assumimg that a 'wee' club cannot sustain this level because we pay our players the lowest salaries. It might just occur to the media that pay does not guarantee performance, just look at Dundee Utd over the last 3-4 years!

Hey Charlie
Its superstition folks, Since CC heard that i have stopped shaving on match days we have not lost a game, he decided to follow suit and lo and behold.....

John Rankin
John Rankin was interviewed by Charlie Bannerman, and he admitted that the free kick for the third goal was not a shot on goal but a cross aimed strongly at the back post for hopefully a touch from one of our big players, the fact that none of our players were really near the back post is neither here nor there. We have however got rid of another couple of monkeys of certain backs, we can beat Falkirk when it matters at home, and Rankin can score. I'm feckin delighted. :001:

C.C Tactical genius?
'On the plus side, Wyness and Hart were terrific today' 'Bout time you changed yer moniker then eh?

Not least using i'm sure a lot of influence from him in gaining groundshare and eventual upgrading of the stadium and the early homecoming.

RANGERS 0 INVERNESS 1
'Ferguson said: "Lionel saved the shot, but the guy nipped in and scored. I didn't get a good view of it, but we are not going to put the blame on him"' And his name is on the back of his shirt!

Next Weeks Crowd
Seems to me the management need to sort out home and away tactics, the way we play at home requires a different set up, as the away team come here and play our style of tactic, this causes our players to have a senior moment or two.
-
Next Weeks Crowd
Thats another monkey off Charlies back.. a win over Rangers! now we need a convincing win at home and a win over Aberdeen, not much to ask really. Anyway, i really hope we get the fans out this Saturday, the team and Charlie deserve it.

Charlies comments
Maybe you have not noticed but for the last two and a half seasons that is what we have been doing for away games, and itys been quite successful has it not, only Celtic had a better away rcord than us last season. I think CC is quite right to play the way we know best, the way to get humped by the old firm is to try to play open football against them.

Scotland out of luck
Doh! sorry about that, was told they kicked off at the same time as us????

Scotland out of luck
We had the luck on staurday, to-night we were outclassed big time. Ukraine are quality, but for the inept refereeing performance we might had snatched a point, talk about one sided descisions, what afud from the Calum Murray school of refs. However our defence looked slow and ponderous, Neilson did not show up very well in his debut being exposed time after time. Georgia got a draw with Italy, so we have a real group of death forming.

Reserves vs Killie
Denzil looked pretty good to me Colin, made some good runs, lots of off the ball runs, some nice touches and a couple of trademark stepovers to fool defenders. Needs a couple of first team games to get sharp, will be on the bench on Saturday. Still dont know the final score.

Reserves vs Killie
Managed to get to see first half plus 15 or so mins of second. KO 2pm. Nutters present were me Guzz and Uncle Albert, with an appearance from Pete from westhill. and a fleeting visit from bronson after half time, who after sneezing over all, retired back to bed claiming a heavy cold prevented further attendance. Team: Fraser, Soane Duff Kerr Golly Sutherland Duncan Blackie Morgan Rory Denzil Bright start from both teams, Killie took the lead when A Weegie took a knockdown and shot past Fraser only to see his shot hit the bar, a n other headed the rebound past Fraser - who was not happy with Kerr for getting beat for the rebound. ICT drew level with a fine move down the right with Rory smacking the cross ball past the keeper, ICT were looking ok, but as were discussed it must be difficult for players to raise their game. We took the lead with another fine move starting with a long diagonal pass from Golly which Rory raced onto his early low centre to the far post saw Denzil and a defender meet, result - goal for Denzil... maybe aye or maybees naw. some say OG some say not. Anyway 2-1 HT, changes- Sweggie for Denzil and Hart for Blackie Second half saw ICT take control, Killie no7 got booked for another late tackle which was not a surprise as he was mouthing off quite a lot and generally being a ******. Sweggie, after a neat 1-2 with morgan had a blistering shot well saved by the keeper, as ICT took control. At this point yours truly had to retire back to the helm of HMS Galaxy. any who wishes to add the final bit to the report... Guzz? please continue.
