Had to be as a kid going to the Saturday afternoon matinee, 2 'big' films and a wee thing/cartoon in between! As an older person... age not mind, going to see the exorcist at the La Scala, with all the police & ambulances outside with red cross people hanging around the back of the cinema! what a carry on. Also a wee bit later going to the same cinema to see the late friday show at 11.30 pished to see Emanuelle 3D, everyone had to wear these crappy huge white specs to get the 'effect', the funniest thing to see the whole audience leering at the screen wearing what looked like pervert glasses.

I'd like to complain, last time i had a lift, the driver dragged me across a football pitch a got me jeans manky AND spewed on me jacket - now that is not good service!

Mantis, when was your first 'proper' match? ie Caledonian? My first was an Inverness select (i think) vs Celtic at Telford street, late 60's? early 70's? had a lot of the European cup winning side in it i remember being told. must have been about one at the time :004: Anyway first league game was Caley vs Lossie i think, with players like Presslie, Chic Allan and Johnston on the go.

Paint the pitch white, then do the lines green - less chance of running out of green paint, so i'm told by a supplier in Parkhead, Glasgow.

4-2 final score, not bad. Two good goals from the Krauts, and i have to say Costa coffee looked a tad offside for the first, and quite offside for their second. Anyway a barrowload of goals is most welcome after quite a few bores in recent years.
