TB always remarked how much he loved life in the Highlands ,Caley Thistle were going well , why on earth would he leave ? ...the common opinion ,that he left purely out of greed ,seems a valid one. Butcher and Malpas have been a complete shambles for Hibs , though I've no sympathy for their plight . The smugness of Hibs supporters at seeing the sad situation at Hearts , has now come back to bite them , not in their worst nightmare did they consider they might be joining their bigger , better supported rivals in the Championship next season ...and it serves them right , I hope they go down . No one in Inverness can be too smug either , argue all day ,but the glory days are probably gone , hopefully SPL status will be retained for many years to come , but thats all .............Inverness Caley Thistle / Terry Butcher /MM was a perfect marriage , and TB managed to fcuk it all up .. silly , silly Man

Some disgraceful comments about TB here I feel , everyone on the planet , you , me , everyone , moves on to bigger and (potentially) better things , given the chance ...more cash sweetens the deal . Inverness Caley Thistle supporters have never had it so good , out performing the likes of Hibs , Hearts , Abedeen and Dundee Utd on a regular basis .. WOW ! , incredible , what an acheivement by TB and MM But do some of you graciously accept these wonderful years and acknowledge the work done by Butcher in particular ? No , you sneer and snarl and completely ignore the fact , that given the same opportunity , you'd do Exactly The Same ! Man up . and Grow up !

Don't agree. We have lost good and successful managers before and the club has continued to prosper and progress. If Butcher goes there is no reason why we can't continue to progress assuming we appoint the right successor and the club have a pretty good record in that respect. The best has yet to come. Fair enough Kingsmills .. and your thoughts command respect of course . I hope you're right I really do I just think to out perform the likes of Hibs , Hearts , Aberdeen and Dundee Utd , on a regular basis , requires some amazing performances from a Club the size of Caley Thistle

Sounds bad , silence on the BBC website , daily Mail , is eerie to say the least . Think TB is making a mistake , we all know how happy he is with life in the Scottish Highlands .. yeah Hibs bigger Club , more money , all of that , but .. dunno might be all over after a year and a half , then wishing he'd stayed where he was , and content ! We quite liked him at Derby too Not over yet though , maybe Terry wants to stay in Inverness (I think he does ) but ICT have insulted him , money wise , and as mentioned elsewhere , this Hibs thing is his way of provoking the ICTFC board into action .

It really is refreshing to see a bloke , decide hes happy where he is , Barnsley would have surely doubled TBs salary at least !!. The Scottish and English leagues are full of players and managers alike who were doing really well at a Club .. move on (for more money most times) and fail miserably

Great result all round , I would have thought .. The Man who has Caley Thistle 2nd in the table (unbelievable) in the cup semis ,and a victory at celtic under his belt is staying , and more publicity earned for the Club in English papers , than I have ever seen !

What is quite evident to me during my 3 years as a member here , is that just about everybody is happy with the Crystal Palace/ Barcelona style Red and blue stripes .. it gives the Club real identity in Scotland and to a lesser degree, the UK. I still believe it is important , the roots of the club are not forgotten , and is quite visible with that popular strip. Why those on the Top table , never seem to listen to the majority of supporters , on issues such as the playing strip , I really don't know. Meanwhile I happily acknowledge it is a great time , for anybody with some form of affection towards the Inverness Caley Thistle Footbal Club.

As I've mentioned before , the lack of respect shown to Thistle is the only thing wrong with the merger . Otherwise it has been one success story after another . 2nd in the league , managed by a former Captain of England , and just knocked off Celtic in their own back yard , trust me , it will never be as good as this ever again , but why oh why , the insulting playing strip , how would Caley fans like it if Caley Thistle played in black and red stripes , with a few (almost invisible) blue squiggles through it ?

Perhaps ex-jags are staying away , lets face it.... the Club is often refered to as Caley , ICTFC play at Caleys home , and the playing strip (a total insult to all former Inverness Thistle supporters ) is pretty much Caleys traditional playing colours.

Newcastle Utd continue to get things wrong , and 50,000 still show up .. remarkable Bit like Hearts , the supporters deserve better .

Terrible decision What would these new Indian owners know about running a Football Club anyway ? Blackburn is a small Town , so they are "punching above their weight" so to speak . . Be a bit like ICTFC giving Butcher the flick I think
