In an age of poor Scottish National teams (the worst in memory) , , ordinary performances by Scotlands top clubs in Europe , and a general lack of local talent (compared to years gone by ) ICT stand out as a shining light of success , an amazing rise from obscurity to rubbing noses with the elite clubs of the SPL . They have ruffled the Old Firm and have graced the Scottish League like a breath of fresh air . If you have had anything to do with the Highlands or Inverness at some stage in your life , why wouldn't you follow the fortunes of this small but very impressive and exciting Club ?

Holloway is a breath of fresh air this season .. love watching Blackpool play

Invernees Caley Thistle is a great name , very unique and is already associated with some great Football success in its short history. Be proud of it and leave it alone !!

I would agree KB , many of my English mates would know the answer , as football fanatics they should , Coleman ought to be ashamed , no wonder his managerial career has nosedived , perhaps if he knew about Rooney and Foran , it may have saved his job !

Both would be more than capable IMO , although my 2 brothers DCFC season ticket holders , haven't got a lot of time for either of them .

Nonsense , McGhee won the league with Reading , took Wolves to the play-offs and an F.A. cup semi final , won the league with Milwall and took them to the play-offs the next season , he also won promotion with Brighton . That New ICT stripes design is terrific , it would be one of the best strips of any Football Club in the UK. Which idiot decided to abandon the stripes that had become ICT in the first place ?

Really unlucky to be relegated last season , great effort by everyone at ICT to get back at first time of asking . As long as this squad is kept together , should be able to finish 6th or 7th I feel

I like Inverness Caley Thistle , always have , right back I suppose,to when I used to visit an Uncle every summer in Culcabock and catch a Thistle game when ever possible . THE CLUB ICTFC- What a ride it has been !! , most people hate a merger but it was right for Inverness . More highs than any new Club could ever hope for in such a short space of time (And one of the "SUN"s most famous ever sporting headlines !!-after the Celtic win ) THE CLUB NAME (INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE F.C ). If you didn't already know it , its terrific , all class , bit of a gob full , but unique , only a dill would want to change it . THE CLUB STRIP - Plenty of debate here . I can tell you all from the outside , the stripes of last season define ICTFC , it is distinctive , and looks great , gawd knows how many teams throughout the UK , sport a boring blue shirt , that has you desperately trying to eyeball the club badge , or recognise the sponsor , to identify which team it actually is . Does anyone know which T*** decided to get rid of the stripes ? ( The ONLY fair way to keep ALL former Caley and Thistle fans happy BTW.} TERRY BUTCHER APPOINTMENT - Read plenty of topics/posts on this , and I'm delighted to see so many positive , intelligent comments on His arrival in Inverness . Clearly there is now hope for survival . Maurice Malpas is vital in all this too . BIGGEST RIVALS ? -May well be Ross Co , or at present Aberdeen . Personally I hate Celtic , and my greatest pleasure is seeing Caley THISTLE dish it up to them . WILL ICTFC STAY UP ? - Course they bloody will !!! Cheers DD
