  1. Dont know about websites but the boy as recently uploaded an app IFOOTY to the phone, selected Scottish Premier League only to find that it still shows last seasons information, dont touch it :_thumbdown:
  2. Ive got an ideal, how about forgetting about what can be done to increase the atmosphere, im sure this topic has come up before, did it do any good then, just get your butts down to the TCS on a regular basis, support the boys and with abit of luck they will perform, if they perform then everything else will slot into place. To answer the question, Im a great believer that the more the players and management staff interact with the fans, the more the fans will show their passion, if it appears to be them and us you will only get good vocal support if things are going really well on the pitch, the minute things take a down turn fingers will be pointed, scape goats will be made, the atmosphere will be non existent.
  3. Finishing top of the lower half would be a good achievement, anything better would be a bonus.
  4. Right then you lot i've got things to do, To da Loo

  5. Still plenty of rivalry there to be sure, them n us etc, but you cant knock City, a chairman who is ambitious, a proven manager who is well respected and a new state of the art stadium on the way, oh and David James!!
  6. IRON MAN: Olympic pursuit for active men. IRON WOMAN: Command that can lead to divorce! :_talktalktalk:
  7. IHE a few of us in the know here in Brissol have done the double for City up and Rovers down, hate to be negative and don't normally show it in public but things could go tits up for the Blue half of Bristol this season if were not careful, City are a good call for promotion thats for sure.
  8. Thats an incentive to make sure you stay up, relegation is a no no! Football should be renamed money because thats what its all about nowadays at either end of the scale.
  9. As posted elsewhere Ian Dury & the Blockheads New Boots & Panties :_thumbup:
  10. Will be closely watching (listening to live commentary) Peterborough v Bristol Rovers today, a tough start for Rovers with a little added spice the fact that Posh are managed by Gary Johnson ex manager of Bristol City. My prediction for this one, 2-1 Peterborough, don't think Rovers have the fire power to win this one.

As been a great asset to ICT one of those players who looks the part, if you get my drift.
  12. A nice start for Watford that result.
  13. Got home from work yesterday had tea and a beer as you do, then all out of the Blue thought it would be good to watch MAD MAX!! So off we go to HMV and luckily enough they have the first film, picked it up and as we walk past the CD's I think Ian Dury & the Block Heads, found the album New Boots and Panties. Id had no thoughts recently of either of these two but all out of the Blue ive ended up with a film & album both produced around the same time in the late 70,s, watched & listened to both last night great nostalgia. Any thoughts on the two from you guys out there? A couple of things we picked up on with Mad Max were. 1. 18 certificate rating, but compared to what you see on media rated at 18 today you could almost show Max to junior school kids. 2. Funny to see Mel Gibson before he became a big star in his role in what must have been quite a low budget film. As for Dury & the Blockheads well what can I say. Cant remember when I first heard Dury but remember our local record shop where I purchased Reasons To Be Cheerful when I was a kid, can remember watching the Mad Max films in the very early 80's when I lived in Exmouth, we used to have friends around to watch films, one other that really sticks out from that time was The Living Dead.
  14. Sat with a cuppa wondering how the Gas will perform at Posh tomorrow

  17. Was it somewhere nice or plain old work or? Woke up this morning with no intention of going out started day at work, then out of the blue decided to take the family to see Stonehenge, its an amazing sight, went into Salisbury after for the afternoon, was a good day. Bonus question is, what is the one place that you have visited that stands out in your memory.
  18. Mine without doubt was the Division 2 Play off finals 26/05/2007 (not quite a cup final) at Wembley Bristol Rovers Beating Shrewsbury to win promotion, Rovers 2-1 up, time running out for Shrewsbury their keeper came up the pitch for what may have been a corner to them, the ball was cleared to Sammy Igoe, advancing with the ball a empty net beckoning, Rovers fans shouting shoot shoot he eventually hit it from just over the half way line towards an empty net, two Shrews players chasing it all the way but you knew they were not gonna get close enough, the ball rolling slowly over the line making the result safe, an incredible end to a game.
  19. Cheers Gringo!! Falkirk v Dunfermline = Draw to start for me please,
  20. Slightly off the subject, but I would like to take this chance to publicly thank Cath for always making me and the kids welcome on the supporters bus, look forward to hearing what the new arrangements will be, and of course travelling on it sometime soon in the future. Darrin
  21. Of course I see a little more into it being local but my sentiments exactly Gringo this is a tough league in which younger players might initially do well, but i doubt will last the pace, since Rovers sold Lambert to Southampton at the start of last season they have failed miserably in replacing him, like for like would be a tough one but I think you need a reasonably strong target man in this league, Rovers are again relying on small players up front, a tactic that does not bode well when you start lumping the ball forward in the air, in all fairness PMF we have several good youngster whom i am sure would be a real asset to ICT, Chris Lines being most notable, but I think he will see bigger and better things than both Rovers & ICT before long, Ben Swallow and Charlie Reece are others to watch for in the future.
  22. Out for a curry with the missus tonight.

  23. Bristol Rovers going with emphasis on youth this season. Is this statement positive or negetive? I think its a negative comment, to me this means no money no ambition, I cant see youth getting you through the roughy toughy of a full season in the English first division, im of the opinion that a succesful team requires the right balance of experience and youth. What are your thoughts.
  24. I have paid through Paypal today. Thanks
  25. Not a great book reader, havent got the patience, the last book I read was SLASH by Slash, Anthony Bozza
