  1. Dire as last season was, the Krankies are not and have never been remotely entertaining !
  2. I imagine that you are in the majority. As I've said before, fine for a flag or a banner, wholly inappropriate for an official club great.
  3. Speaking as someone who is largely technically illiterate, do you really have to be a 'techno guy' to post important information and updates on Twitter and Facebook ? Surely. all you need is a smartphone and a spare ten minutes. I am aware that non essential costs have had to be slashed and that the 'media team' came at quite an expense but that doesn't seem to me to be an excuse for the almost complete lack of information coming from the club on social media. This is 2017 after all.
  4. Maybe easily fixed but much like the manner of Duncan Shearer's dismissal and the season ticket announcement debacle, much better avoided in the first place. The club are continuing to project a poor public image. It needs to stop.
  5. With our first competitive game only four days away, it's probably a sensible precaution if we are short of fit players.
  6. Poor show that we should have to rely on Clach for basic information that should be coming from the club.
  7. Wholly unacceptable in the 21st century. Season ticket holders who live some distance from Inverness are amongst the most committed fans and deserve to be treated with more consideration. Easy enough to apply a unique serial number to each voucher so that it can be used digitally. Some things hardly seem to have changed from the Highland League days.
  8. Disgusting, anti social habit which selfishly impacts on others. Should be restricted to the smoker's private home provided that there are no children.
  9. A decade too late to be thinking about signing Duffy.
  10. It would be fantastic to keep Draper and I very much hope we will and I agree that County's current offer is nowhere close to his worth but we have to be realistic. We are in no financial position to make him or anyone else an 'offer he can't refuse'. Perhaps if he stays and we are fortunate enough to get promoted out of what will be a very tough division we can look at a contract extension then. For the time being, the reality is that we are a Championship club who are going to have to survive on a modest parachute payment and crowds unlikely to average more than a couple of thousand or so and will need cut our cloth accordingly. The long term secure future of the club is much more important than retaining the services of one player no matter how good or influential that player may be.
  11. I was very tempted to add 'except for Mike Smith' !
  12. There is no need for any general manager to have had any previous connection with the club. Indeed, if we can find a suitable candidate, there is a great deal of merit in bringing in someone with a more objective perspective and fresh ideas.
  13. Whether Drapers stays or not, this is the most radical overhaul of the squad we have undertaken in our history in a single close season. Very different from the last time we were relegated and retained our management and very nearly the entire first team squad including the prolific Adam Rooney. I hope that fans will bear that in mind and be patient without getting on the players backs early in the season if we do not get off to the best of starts. I would anticipate that it could take six to eight weeks at least for this new team with a new manager and a different style of play to gel and find their collective feet. We need to give this team at least until October before even beginning to pass judgement.
  14. On the other hand, we could be optimistic and forward looking rather than dwelling on past errors.
  15. Not that we yet know of.
  16. Oh dear. That statement strongly suggests that we are simply inviting County to increase their offer. Whether we sell Ross or not will say a great deal about our ambition or the lack of it..
  17. One thing the fans on this forum seem United on the the need to retain Ross Draper. Let's hope that the board are paying attention.
  18. Although beating a part time team from the Highland League is a whole lot better than being humiliated by a bunch of similarly resourced part timers from Luxembourg!
  19. If the financial terms are right.
  20. Would be a solid defensive signing. Hadn't realised that County had released him.
  21. That still wouldn't be enough to sell to County.
  22. If the club accept a five figure offer from County it says more about the ambition, or perhaps lack of it, from the board rather than Draper's commitment or loyalty which I don't doubt for a minute.
  23. With County in a division higher than us, we have already fallen from grace. We need to be retaining players like Draper rather than letting them cross the bridge for a relative pittance if that situation is to be remedied.
  24. If true, here's hoping that is with a view to keeping him and mounting a promotion challenge rather than squeezing another ten or twenty thousand out of County or indeed anyone else.
  25. Thank you for that and the information you provided was very welcome. However, you missed the point of my reply. My Username might just give you a hint.
