Pomposity is indeed the right word for the tone of that post.

A brief statement on the official website clarifying the position would go a long way to soothing matters.

Perhaps it's time for some people to calm down and keep the thread respectfully on topic.

Summer Transfer Window Thread
I really don't care whether we dropped our interest in him or he didn't fancy us. The fact is he's not coming here. Time to move on and look elsewhere....perhaps after giving him a taste of what he's missing in the League Cup group match.

Only the ignorant and ill informed. Although, I do accept that makes up a fair proportion of the Scottish sporting media as far as anything north of Perth is concerned.

There may be an argument about whether is should appear on the club crest but other than that I couldn't disagree with you more and frankly I don't care about any misconceptions held by some Central Belt pundits or fans.

Top six and a semi final combined with some entertaining and positive football would represent a good season in my book.

It is probably too late to do anything this season but our club has a decent record of listening to the views of fans, David Raven's new contract without there then being a manager in place, is a good example. I would be surprised if we didn't revert to a more traditional crest from next season.

Disappointing, I thought we might have been in with a chance. Never mind, he is the past, time to look to the future under the new manager.

Perhaps but far more importantly so have two very good additions to the squad. Well done Richie.

I believe you are right in that.

I think you will find the reference refers to a certain Mr Mckay (with a small k !) and has nothing to do with sectarianism just like the very vast majority of our fans. Maybe time to lighten up just a little. The new season is just around the corner and we still have David Raven.....

That would certainly excite me.

Whilst I think Billy King is a good addition to the squad, as a fringe player at Hearts who struggled to get a start on loan in the Championship last season, he is not a signing expected 'to excite the fans and players alike' which makes me think there must be another signing in the pipeline.

While still not a big fan of loan signings within the same division, he is a young speedy winger who also has a goal or two in him and is a very decent signing. Strikes me that we now have a very solid first team squad better balanced than of late. Another striker would be the icing on the cake.

Not hugely keen on loan deals from clubs in the same division. Apart from anything else, there are three or four possibly vital league games a season where the player can't be used as well as potentially cup games.

That will come in handy with Liam Polworth and Graeme Shinnie, returned to the TCS, both in the first ever Scotland squad to go beyond the group stages.

Yet another good work out for over twenty players. Well done Richie and the boys.

No Doran again. Does he have a fresh injury ?

New 2016/17 kit
It does seem a great pity that this step seems to have been taken without significant fan consultation. Maybe a lesson for the future.

Brora v ICT
To be fair to Buchtmaster, I don't think he was doing anything other than trying to describe the match as he saw it for the benefit of those of us who were not able to be there.
