Fixture List
It's not often that we are favoured by the footballing authorities but having two guaranteed home games against each of Celtic, County and The Rangers is a six figure boost to the coffers and may mean a wee uplift in Richie's player budget.

Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding but I have been way and not logged on for the last week. More fundamentally, apologies for the offending post which I accept was inappropriate and I apologise without reservation for any offence or hurt caused to the poster concerned or others.

Equally, why on earth should you equate a disability with any impairment of intellect. Hugely condescending in my view.

David Raven
I reckon the fact that dressing room harmony has been restored makes whatever wedge of cash Yogi walked away with money well spent.

Having spent some time in Barrow, he has my sincere sympathy although, having seen him play, Barrow too have my sympathy.

Summer Transfer Window Thread
Every signing is 'a bit of a risk' but it makes a refreshing change from last year to get this piece of business concluded so efficiently and early in the close season so that the player gets a full pre season under his belt as an integral part of the squad. Taken together with his undoubted role in retaining David Raven, a very promising start to the Richie Foran era.

Summer Transfer Window Thread
Good news indeed but I see from the club statement that it is actually only a two year contract with the club claiming to hold an option on a third year. I really don't know why we persist in doing that when such 'options' are not legally enforceable.

Excellent. For the first time since Ofere left we will have an experienced striker on the books. Well done Richie a fine start as far as recruitment is concerned.

Yogi
He will get a job somewhere on the back of his cup success with us. He may even be successful for a spell before familiar patterns develop...

ICT in Challenge Cup
This is an important competition for lower league clubs and, generally speaking, one of their very few opportunities to win silverware. The competition worked well on that level and will be much the poorer for being won by the likes of Celtic's youth team. A poor and self interested decision in my view.

Where are the goals coming from?
Nice to have a manager who recognises that it's important to have players in the squad who's principal job it is to score goals..

One thing we do know about Terry Butcher, whatever his other faults, is he has good contacts and an eye for a player. The boy is at his prime and has a decent scoring record for a struggling team.

Where are the goals coming from?
Of more concern, he has a troubled present.

Have we left it too late AGAIN?
Well, whatever happens with them now they won't be pre contracts..

Have we left it too late AGAIN?
I am sure that there is much going on behind the scenes and would expect signings to be announced within the next fortnight or so. We have had a bit of a managerial 'blip' and it's too early to be in a panic just yet. Richie has said he wants time and space just now to concentrate on completing the squad and I am prepared to trust that he's doing just that.

Yogi
I agree, I've no doubt he fancies it. It's just that I doubt they fancy him.

Your loyalty to the previous manager does you credit....if only he had demonstrated a similar quality....
-
Yogi
Surely he didn't think he was in with a chance after alienating the board and half the squad the last time around, much as he did at Falkirk.....much as he did at ICT....

Happy anniversary
More much memories to come with Richiie Foran's Sneck Army.....or should that be HMS Sneck navy ?

I suspect Hibs would like Lennon but doubt whether they could afford him.

New Manager Thread
A laudable sentiment Scarlet but sadly if taking 14,000 to Hampden didn't add to the gate the following season the appointment of a new manager, even a highly popular one, id unlikely in itself to have much effect but what it may well do is to prevent a fall in attendances which may have been the case if Yogi had stayed.

Richie Foran Poll
It's no secret that the last managerial appointment was not greeted with universal delight so it's great to see that with the best part of a hundred votes cast only one solitary isolated soul has declared themselves unhappy with this appointment. Unity and togetherness has always been our greatest asset and, after a period of division, it's wonderfully encouraging to see that that has been so quickly and comprehensively restored.
