  1. That sounds about right. The figure is calculated and paid in Euros. One of the very few positives to come out of the recent 'Brexit' vote is that the club will receive about £20,000 more than they would have to the fall in value of the pound against the Euro.
  2. Kingsmills replied to Yngwie's topic in Caley Thistle
Yesterday was, as intended, no more than a public work out as emphasised by playing two distinct teams. Not much really to be read into either the performance or the result. Things should be much clearer by the time we play Elgin in our final friendly with close to our first choice XI and a bit of match fitness under their belts.
  3. Inverness Caledonian Thistle Clachnacuddin Football Club if you don't mind.

Foran remains undefeated as a manager.
  5. Did Caledonian not incorporate Inverness into their name in the 70s and then drop it again in the late 80s after they were refused planning consent for a new ground in the Carse ?
  6. The reason we have 'one of the longest club names' in British football is that it reflects a history that goes back a hundred and thirty years. That may not be important to you but it is to many of us.
  7. It all comes down to his fitness which, I assume, is why we have him on trial rather than making a player of his experience and ability a straight offer. I agree, he could be a very good signing if fit.
  8. To be honest, I thought he had retired. I presume it's a trial of fitness rather than ability.
  9. Appreciation and gratitude to Gringo for once more giving up a chunk of his precious free time over the course of the next ten months or so to run this now venerable as well as much loved competition. Good luck to all those taking part. Can Andrew be toppled from his perch ?
  10. I like both strip. Had the home strip had a black collar and trim it would have been close to perfect.
  11. and, with any luck, still won't have finished it by the time this game kicks off.
  12. Very encouraging comments from the manager. Entertaining football and player recruitment being his priorities. Bodes well for the forthcoming season and beyond.
  13. An event that could not have been organised under the previous manager since, by the time he left, he had few friends left within the club.
  14. The blood pudding, not unlike our black pudding, is well worth sampling.
  15. Credit where it's due. Iceland were the better side and their skill, commitment and organisation put any Scotland team of the last twenty years to shame. We need to get some of our technical people up there and find out just exactly what it is they are doing right.
  16. I am sure he will get a well deserved and sincere warm welcome when he comes back to the TCS.
  17. I am quite certain that he will have funds for at least three more senior players. I am equally certain that work is going on behind the scenes. We have a very competent and committed starting XI and the squad will be improved before the season starts. No need at all to panic.
  18. If they are to be overseas or even from the Republic of Ireland then they better be established internationals as, after last night's vote, they will soon need a work permit.
  19. Probably the toughest possible draw for our under 21s.
  20. I very much like the new logo. Clear and modern with a motto well associated with the club.
  21. The last time 'Rangers were in the top flight' will remain the very last time Rangers were in the top flight. The Rangers who were promoted to the Premiership are a new entity even if they are follow followed by many of the same moronic sectarian bile spouting hoards.
  22. Was that when we played Alford Amateurs to open their new facilities ?
  23. Congratulations to OFW and his squad mates for their remarkable achievement in putting Russia, with almost fifty times their population to the sword and topping their group. A five figure bonus for the club into the bargain as a result of his continuing participation in the tournament.
  24. Fantastic occasion. The first top league game ever to take place in the Highlands....
