  1. Lost whatever little credibility he had long before Kilmarnock parted company with him.
  2. Here we are several days into our search for a new manager and the fourth estate have no idea who the new man is going to be. Compare that to the fact that the BBC and other media outlets knew for certain who was going to be the new manager at Easter Road within 24 hours of that vacancy arising. The BBC accused Terry Butcher of having agreed personal terms with Hibs long before our club were even approached for permission for our then manager to talk to his prospective new employers. That was a very damaging accusation to level at TB striking at his honesty and personal integrity. I can't comment on whether the BBC allegations were true or not but it does strike me as curious that Terry has not demanded that the BBC issue an apology or retraction.
  3. Richie is very loyal to Butcher which is not surprising as he has spent more than half his long career playing under him. He was publicly quoted not so long ago as saying he was waiting to see whether Butcher signed a new contract before considering his own position. Richie has been a wonderful player for us but I would be surprised, although delighted, if he didn't follow his mentor to Leith. Apart from anything else, his grit and leadership are precisely what Hibs are lacking. That said, I have no doubt that he will be fully committed to the cause for whatever time he has left in Inverness.
  4. What reign? Even with us without a manager, he is still not the best manager in the Highlands. He's not even the best manager in Dingwall..
  5. Actually Pele as a paid scout is a good suggestion. He could do it on a part time basis and retain his current full time employment..
  6. Give it another couple of days and it will be The Three Stooges.
  7. Might be wise to get a bob or two on Kevin MacDonald. Have an inkling the odds may shorten before long.
  8. I was taken aback by Maurice Malpas's interview on Sportsound to the effect that he could not consider staying at ICT because we could not offer him what he needed in terms of crowds and training facilities. The attendances and facilities are no different to those he was delighted to grab with both hands almost 5 years ago when he was unemployed and virtually unemployable within the game. I am afraid that his words today have tarnished my view of him as much as Butcher's actions on Saturday did for his boss. Steve Marsella may be going too but at least he has to be given credit for keeping a dignified silence.
  9. That is disappointing.
  10. I believe that Terry now has his very own personalised shoogly peg to hang up that now infamous jacket.
  11. You mean Like he did last year....
  12. Good news. Great to see the club not letting the managerial hiatus get in the way of future planning. We are fortunate to have two very competent 'keepers.
  13. What percentage of the subscription fee do you anticipate finding it's way into the club's coffers ?
  14. Kingsmills replied to TopSix's topic in Caley Thistle
    Anyone providing updates ?
  15. Not sure that we could afford Yogi as we would also need to employ a translator for the benefit of all our English players.
  16. Scotty was, in my opinion, at least one NO and possibly two exclamation marks short....
  17. I agree, quite a few players. Not a single manager.
  18. I suspect that within two years Butcher will be in very good company. It's almost bizarre how not one of the managers poached from us due to their great success in Inverness has even gone on to have even moderate success elsewhere.
  19. Paul Sturrock strikes me as a decent outside bet.
  20. Isn't he in a DOF type role at Aberdeen after handing the reins over to McInnes? Doddery Old Fool ?
  21. We will always struggle to keep successful managers but if we can get two or three years of continuing and, hopefully, increasing success from the next incumbent that will be a successful appointment
  22. I don't suppose we will ever know but, given they only had six months to go on their contracts my guess is circa £100,000.
  23. We will find out his reasoning tomorrow. Will listen with interest. We may find out what he says tomorrow. Doubt we will ever find out his true reasoning.
  24. He has been shrewd enough to negotiate a two and a half year contract on twice what he was on at ICT.
  25. That will be John Brown...
