  1. Same half time scoreline as last week. Same scorer. Now we need to make absolutely sure that that's where the similarities to last week ends. Vital that we hold onto this lead if we are not going to lose touch with our promotion rivals.
  2. We need a second while we are on top. The heady days of the start of the season when we could be confident of hanging onto a 1-0 lead are a distant memory.
  3. A stonewall penalty well taken. This time can we please not squander the lead.
  4. At least we will have a clear picture of us squandering the lead this evening.
  5. Welcome back. Good question with no easy asnwer but sloppy defending of late has not helped. Although it made no difference against the Pars, I think that Dave Carson's return will help in the long run.
  6. Does it matter as long as money is raised for a worthy cause that, a hundred years on, is sadly still necessary?
  7. Mid November and time to ponder how we can strengthen in the January window and get our promotion push back on track. We are lacking creativity and suffering from poor service and poor finishing. One player who is capable of providing both and who could settle into the team immediately is Daniel McKay. He seems to be out of the first team picture at Hibs with only a couple of appearances this season. In my view, a half season loan could be good for us, benificial to him and ultimately good for his parent club. I would like to think that we at least explore this possibility.
  8. I agree with Mantis.
  9. Bring them on !
  10. I appreciate that Denmark were resting a few but I can't remember when Scotland played as well as that. Six wins in a row for the first time since Ross Toklely and Grant Munto were in the midst of intimidating strikers the length and bredth of the country. Seeded and a home match in the play offs where Hampden will be rocking like it hasn't done in years. Well done lads. You have done the country proud.
  11. Whilst I don't agree with everything you say, I do agree that a bit of the Steve Paterson 'can do' attitude despite limited resources would go a long way at present.
  12. Things have not worked out for Manny as either he or we would have wished when he first arrived but, in my view, that is incredibly harsh and unjustified.
  13. Much more of this and we will all be hitting the bottle and all adopting your username!
  14. The conjecture was that he and the players who would normally be in the matchday squad who were missing were self isolating.
  15. This inability to play decently in both halves of any match has gone from frustrating to deeply damaging. Worse still, our chronic and worsening inability to hold on to a lead has, almost certainly, already cost us the chance of automatic promotion and if this collective flaw in the psyche of the team and coaching staff is not resolved soon it could well cost us a play off spot as well come the end of the season. Against the bottom team in the division, who are bottom for a reason, this is deeply deeply disappointing and frankly wholly unacceptable.
  16. Comfortable in the first half but vital we hold onto this lead given that Kilmarnock, Raith Rovers and Partick are all winning comfortably.
  17. To be fair, when you have so many sources of income it's easy to forget two or three.
  18. Congratulations to Steve Clarke and the lads on qualifying for the play offs. This Scotland side are still a long way from being world beaters but finishing second in the group is an achievement that looked beyond us only a few months ago but, with five consecutive victories with limited resources, we have clearly made progress. Can we now go on to take something at Hampden againt a Danish side so far imperious in the group ? A point on Monday, better still all three, will improve our chances of being one of the seeded teams giving us home advantage against potentially slightly weaker opponents. A good night tonight but more work to do. Being a Scotland fan is not quite the ordeal it used to be.
  19. Makes sense, if you are a Fife team in danger of being relegated from the Championship, appoint a manager with a track record of getting Fife tesms relegated from the Championship.
  20. As Robert says, far from easy but these are the sort of games we must win, especially at home, if we are going to maintain a serious title challenge.
  21. Same. Whilst it would have been nice to have a freebie for the next virtual visit to Somerset Park, £5 seems reasonable compensation for the interuption suffered.
  22. The only lawyers I can think of with infinite time and resources are those Conservative MPs practicing law out of their Westminster offices and charging £600 an hour for time that they are already getting very well paid for which should be devoted to serving their constituents. Are you listening Geoffery Cox ?
  23. They have no legal obligation to make a gesture but surely they have a moral one and the goodwill they would generate should also be a consideration.
