  1. A boycott is not the answer.
  2. Looks like relegation this week after several consecutive weeks in the top division unless we can pull a few million points out of the bag today.
  3. Glad I couldn't make it today. No alternative but to go for broke in the second half although I agree with Scotty that there's little hope of a Patersoneque comeback. It might not be too long before serious questions have to be asked about the management team.
  4. I think he'll do well in the first division. Pity it's not with us.
  5. Good result last night? I thought we lost last night, or did I miss something? Good result? What a strange comment. :024: Maybe my expectation is different to yours, young Sir. When we play a team riding high in the SPL and my team is 'finding it's feet' in the SFL, I along with many more ICT supporters, felt it was lamb to the slaughter last night. Instead I had a superb evenings entertainment where my team came back twice and leveled the game over 90 minutes. Our SPL opponents played against 10 men for much of the game and only won on an OG basis. I would suggest that to any fan of ICT, other that your good-self, that this was a spirited performance and indeed a good result in the circumstances!! I have already remarked on this forum on the unrealistic expectations of some of the ICT support and I suppose you have just underlined this. . You don't quite understand AF.... Had this been a two legged affair a 3-2 scoreline away from home might have been interpreted by some as a good result. Sadly it was a cup-tie that had to be settled on the night - the Result was Motherwell won and proceed to the next round of the competition, while we are out of it. How can that be a good result? I've suggested elswhere on the site that our boys put on a great performance last night and were maybe a tad unlucky not to take Motherwell to a penalty shoot out. I was genuinely encouraged by last night's performance, and hope we continue to improve from here - but it was not a good result! It's not often that I'm inclined to agree with Johnboy but elimination from a knock out competition can never be a good result. However, in all the circumstances, it was certainly a good and very heartening performance.
  6. Never so delighted to be proved wrong !
  7. At least we've had a decent run for our money tonight. Can't see us coming back again with 10 men away against an SPL side.
  8. Any idea what Proctor was sent off for ?
  9. I'm not sure that players, particularly young and inexperienced ones, are the best people to send on such scouting missions.
  10. No surprise to see Irons go.
  11. I still believe that come the end of the season the top four, in no particular order, will be ourselves, Dundee, Partick and Dunfermline. I take comfort from the fact that each of these teams have had just as indifferent a start to the season as ourselves.
  12. Given that there's no reserve or under 19 fixtures this season, a number of the young lads would benefit from getting a regular game in the second or third divisions rather than cooling their heels in Inverness.
  13. Using that criterion Ross County are probably the best supported team in the land regularly attracting over 50 % of the population of Dingwall to Victoria Park.
  14. I agree except that I fear that the greedy people number much more than one or two.
  15. I can see some merit in that. Performances did pick up in the final two matches and there's hardly a queue of outstanding candidates willing to take on the position for the money on offer.
  16. Maybe there is hope for the future after all. A heart warming story.
  17. The fact that the SPL will have a new Chief Executive is not going to lead to league reconstruction. It will be a matter for the 12 member teams who are not going to vote for their much smaller than anticipated cake being shared more ways.

    All Greek to me !
  19. Can't complain about that and a welcome boost to the coffers to boot.
  20. The league is crucial. Anything else is a bonus.
  21. All the other clubs left in the competition will want to be drawn against Annan, preferably at home.
  22. With the greatest of respect to Dornoch Caley, County in the final would be an entertaining fixture but would be very far from " THE most special game in the club's history." Given the stature of this particular competition it would not rate in the top 20 " most special games" in my opinion.
  23. I doubt if a draw will be enough.
  24. That's where it begins to get costly. The consortium would be better applying any funds at their disposal towards getting Livingston back up the leagues by conventional means.
  25. I don't think it will be an issue. I suspect that the SFA will have parted company with the current Scotland management team by then.
